My wife asked me to read the manual and at 72 yrs, my eyesight isn't the best so, I wish to thank you for a very informative video and for making my life much simpler. I look forward to some more of her delicious Thai food using this pressure cooker and to your intuitive videos .....
Hats off to you for putting this much effort on this review video. You have covered almost everything and and even showed us a chicken recipe :) Thank you...
Why was I so intimidated by my new Instant Pot? Oh, that’s right. I had a pressure cooker explode on me once and I have been afraid of them ever since. Thank you! Great job! You’ve alleviated my fears!
Omg you too :( I did many years ago, and my 2 year old had just walked past me in the kitchen & then POP it exploded on me !!!! I had 2nd degree burns !! Uhhh but thank gosh my baby wasn’t hurt
Thanks for the great review. I have been using my 8 qt. Duo for 2 years now and really love it. Have made so many great dishes, including whole chickens!!!
I just got a nova duo and I was bit scared to use it ...then I checked so many utube video but all were so complicated 😟 Then I found yours and no doubt it was amazing and very simple + very helpful tutorial , thank you so very much for an excellent help 🤗💖
I finally decided today to buy an Instant Pot. Once I started researching I got overwhelmed. Your video was exactly what I needed. I know exactly which model and size. Thank you!!
Thank you for posting such an in depth and informative tutorial on this iteration of the IP. My old PKP is on its last legs, and I've struggled to get spares. Initially, I was looking for the Instant Pot, but there were none available in the UK at the time. Anyway, I'm now looking to replace the PKP with an 8 litre Instant Pot, and was surprised to see how many versions are currently available. With the exception of the Pro version, most of the options are more or less the same price, making it difficult to differentiate between models. This has really helped.
I was one of those frady cat people when it came time to use the instant pot. That was until I watched you’re video. Thank you so much for your support for us frady cats!
One of best video I checked so many other videos but theirs instant pot was not same as mine even in 3quarter one .this is the exact one I have.thank you so much u explained very well.
I ove your Insta Pot Tutorials, I just purchased my 3 qt. pot and I cook every other day i it, n more dirty dishes and stove cleaning. I am sooooo happy with it! Strongly recommend Insta Pot!!
Thank you for your excellent explanation of this model of the Instant Pot. I have watched many videos of recipes, but none of them gave me clear enough directions where I felt comfortable until I watched your video. I look forward to subscribing and watching your other videos.
You don’t have to cancel the keep warm feature. It only activates when the temperature gets below a threshold. The time to depressurization is the same with or without keep warm.
Thanks for your demo. New to the Instant Pot brand as I have a another brand which I have been using. This is slightly different and I appreciate the clarity as I was confused on how to use it properly. You have relieved a lot of “pressure” 😉😄 Thanks!!
That was a great review. I have been using this cooker but a little older one. I just ordered this one and how you explained it was great, good job! I also subscribed to you ,
Thank you for making video! I have a newer model Duo Plus and I hadn’t used it because it has the pressure release button like this model and all the videos I’d watch would confuse me because of the different buttons. Now I know not to touch it until after it’s done. So again, thank you so much!!
Wife here . Quick question . I am making a recipe 1st time. How do you make sure it’s in sealant position before starting . Also I am using natural release so when the 15 min cook time is done do I just wait for it to natural release how will I know it has done that? And then do I turn it on keep warm or cancel ? Thanks
Hello and thank you for the how to, I’m new to using the Instant Pot and have a Duo Nova and was wondering about making hard boiled eggs, my machine doesn’t have a manual setting like some of the models and the instructions are well not there to explain
Thanks so much for your video! Very informative every single second of it. The best product review I have seen. Finally I know what that extra sealing ring is for. :)
Hi Anita, may I know if I could choose to press the pressure release button down if I’m using the steam function? Certain recipes require the IP pressure release handle to be in venting position.
very helpful thank you ! I'm a subscriber now to your channel. Just got my Insta pot and learning how to use it. Thank you ... peace from San Jose California. :)
I received one as a gift for Christmas, many thanks for the tutorial. I am still not comfort with it yet. Hopefully, over time, my confidence level will increase and fear decrease.
How did you decide to wait 15 mins before releasing the pressure for the chicken? Is there a general rule of thumb as to diff types of foods re whether you can release immediately or not?
With the air fryer lid, would it not be able to crisp up that skin after it’s cooked instead of the broiler? I’m really torn between the 10 qt model or the 8 qt with air fryer lid.
Great review. When you left it alone for 15 minutes to natural release did it give you a time count with an "L" like the other models? Mine did not. The screen just turned off. I'm wondering if there's something wrong with mine.
Hi, there are videos on UA-cam showing canning using the InstantPot. Here is Instant Pot’s info: There are two types of canning: boiling-water canning at 100°C/212°F (for acid fruits, tomatoes, pickles and jellied products) and pressure canning at 115~121°C/240~250°F (for low acid vegetables, meat and poultry). Please refer to “USDA Complete Guide to Home Canning” for more details. Instant Pot® can be used for boiling-water canning. The Instant Pot® product line is regulated by a pressure sensor instead of a thermometer; the altitude of your location may affect the actual cooking temperature. We recommend to not use Instant Pot for pressure canning.
Great Video and clear instructions ... I have a question if you can help? .. Do you have any idea when the Duo Evo Plus might be available in Australia Amazon as I cant order from USA due to voltage :(
Thanks. I have the 6 quart Instapot but it looks different from the one on this video...good thing I watched your video or I would have pressed the release button wrong. Ouch!
Thanks! No, that’s quick release, right after pressure cooking is finished. Natural release is leaving the unit alone and wait for the float valve to drop down 😀
Excellent instructional video. I just bought one today. I have one question, I did''t understand what the "Delay/Start" button was used for? I wanted the “Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus” but couldn’t find one so I purchase the "Instant Pot Duo Nova 8 quart" what is the difference between the two? And which do you recommend? Thanks"
The Nova does not have the Bake button or Sous Vide button that the Evo Plus has. The Evo Plus has handles on the cooking pot and it can be used on your stove top. It also has the quick cool lid. The Delay/Start button is for setting the pressure cooker to start cooking later. For example, in the morning, put your ingredients in the pot and press the delay button, set time to start cooking around 12 pm if you want the food ready for lunch or 6 pm if you want the food hot and ready for dinner. Hope that answers your question. Please subscribe :)
I’m so terrified to use mine it is already home. I’m afraid to burn myself but I see many people saying wonders about this please help!!!! How to know the time of cooking for each dish. ?
Hi, there are safety features so no need to be afraid. There are cooking times in the included booklet. There are also plenty of recipes on Instant Pot’s website 😁

This is an amazing machine. I got one for Christmas last year, and I've probably used it 30-40 times in the last ten months.
Thanks for your demo. New to the Instant Pot brand as I have a another brand which I have been using. This is slightly different and I appreciate the clarity as I was confused on how to use it properly. You have relieved a lot of “pressure” 😉😄

Yes, you can use an Instant Pot non stick pot like this one: amzn.to/3mmqRs5 😁

‼️Really helpful video .. 😃 Thanks
Hi Anita, may I know if I could choose to press the pressure release button down if I’m using the steam function? Certain recipes require the IP pressure release handle to be in venting position.

Slow cook setting Is that the same thing as a crockpot or slow cooker like cooking a roast in crockpot

Thanks! No, that’s quick release, right after pressure cooking is finished. Natural release is leaving the unit alone and wait for the float valve to drop down 😀
You can always put the cooked chicken for a few minutes in broil in the oven to get it crispy outside, right?
Yes 😀
