Funny how Mexico City, has a lot of aging stadia, while smaller cities, have pretty interesting stadium designs, specially Football and Baseball... Alfredo Harp Helú stadium is pretty slick though.
Three of those venues are inside the UNAM campus: Estadio Olímpico (68 Olympics & 86 WC), Alberca Universitaria (68 Olympics) and Estadio Roberto Méndez (UNAM’s inner tournaments).
I dont know if it could be part of the venue list, but Frontón México is a sort of stadium for some tennis and wrestling events, also music events, it is pretty unique and has a casino inside.
Azteca would look so much better without all the fuckin Coca-Cola and Carona ads that take up literally all the seats. It's one thing to have the team name cover the seats but those ads look awful.
Just so you know, Foro Sol wasn't designed to have a racetrack go through it I think. It was used as a baseball venue first and foremost, with the track going around it. Then later in the 2000s, when Champ Car (predecessor to modern IndyCar) raced there, they went through the stadium a few times. They would simply lay temporary concrete onto the baseball surface and race over it. When the track was fully redesigned to bring Formula 1 back in the mid 2010s, they also build the new ballpark. That's so they could use Foro Sol for the racetrack to go through. This not only would mean that the capacity of the racetrack would increase a giant amount, it also meant that the track would be far safer - if Foro Sol wasn't there, cars would be approaching the very fast final turn at 300kph+ which wouldn't be safe, so it would've needed a tight chicane before that corner, or it would need to use Foro Sol, which they did
@@deanstanley2125 Foro Sol itself is INSIDE Hermanos Rodríguez. The full circuit can now seat 110,000 during F1 races due to the added space of Foro Sol. It has also been used for American football
You should do this for more cities I love it. For my own recommendation I’d say do Dallas Fort Worth Area, we got 2 mlb stadium, an nfl, nba/nhl, another 15k+ arena in ft worth, countless 15k+ high school stadiums. Mls, aaa baseball and more
i think would be a good ideia if you make a video of the stadiums in rio de janeiro or são paulo, because any of the two has 4 big teams of football (soccer) and smaller ones (with stadiums) and others types of venues like the ones made for the olympics in rio.
Adam Silver: MeeeeEEee!!! Narrator: I didn’t know he talked like that. Me: it normally doesn’t but he’s recovering from having Covid last week. And voice is just now coming back to normal.
Now this is a thorough list. You even had me asking "we have that here?!", this in reference to the Steelers stadium. I should add though, that you forgot the Wilfrido Massieu stadium, which is home to the Aguilas Blancas (football) of the National Polytecnic Institute (IPN0.
Recently there was banned to use the Mexico Plaza Stadium (The bullring) for bullfighting, So I hope it can be use for other thing, in one event was used as Tenis Stadium
Currently the Jesus Palillo Stadium is the honorary main house of the LFA (American Football League), and house of the Mexicas (The Team of Mexico city in the league)
There is an ongoing controversy because the Mexico City government wants to ban bullfighting, so we could end up with two venues sitting idle side by side. A lot of people are happy that bullfighting will be banned, but I worry that the Enanitos Toreros show could also be suspended 😔

About 50 counting in-door arenas, football stadiums, tennis courts and so on, right inside the Capital City. You are going to need a 30-minute video for that.

It is because of the Olympics and the worldcup in '68 and '70

I'm not a Mexican, but as a Paraguayan I guess I could clarify that one question anyway: We call him "Jesucrísto" (He-su-kree-sto).

7:40 Foro Sol in a racetrack configuration is amazing to see
Mexico City is a wonderful place to visit! Very colourful!
One of my homies lived across from the Bull Fighting Stadium and the Cruz Azul Stadium. It's pretty cool that it's in a middle of a neighborhood.
I’ve been waiting for this one, nice vid 👍
As soon as you showed Arena Coliseo at 5:54, I immediately thought of the video of Thunderstruck by AC/DC.

Its good to see Mexico City getting use out of its olympic venues 54 years later.
Back then wasnt popular to build white elephants for olympics
Absolutely, last March I was at Palacio de los Deported for a concert. Venue still holds up greatly
Most cities just left their Olympic venues rotten
