      @ebiofoto,
      My answer is contingent on what activities you want to do, if you are driving or using public transportation, and the timing of your visit. For example, Zurich is more convenient for public transit because almost everything converges there. Interlaken is more centrally located, and getting to places like Bern, Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, and even Jungfraujoch is easier and faster. Zurich is already festive, and the Christmas markets are open as early as the last week of November. Interlaken starts their festivities around mid-December.

      @ebiofoto, We have not been to Interlaken during the Christmas season. At best, we were there on December 1, and there were no festivities yet, as Interlaken is a small town. As for Zurich, as early as the last week of November, there are already Christmas activities until probably December 24 (the last day of Christmas markets). If you have never been to Switzerland, you should start in Zurich; then, you can go on side trips to Interlaken, Lucerne, and Bern if your schedule permits. There will definitely be more activities in Zurich as it is their biggest city. Note that shops are mostly closed on Christmas Day itself. I have linked here our video of our Christmas Market tour in Zurich in late November 2023: ua-cam.com/video/gCstIPQaQPc/v-deo.htmlsi=QK1Y81I2jTTGhYjk
