@wilfredwilfred5974, There is only one way to get to the falls. You can rent a pony that will take you halfway through the course, but you still need to use the steps for the other half. We are able-bodied but not fit, and we had to stop many times to catch our breath, both during the descent and the ascent. When you reach the river, you must navigate the rocky banks for about 50 meters, which is slippery. I did not catch it on camera when my husband slipped and fell on his butt.

@ebiofoto, the Zurich scenes were taken in the month of March, those in Interlaken (Sigriswil and Iseltwald) were taken in December.

@ebiofoto, the ferry service is quite limited in December. The bus runs hourly, so we can reliably return to Interlaken.

We do not have personal experience with Strasbourg, as we have yet to be there. But looking at the videos of Strasbourg, I see that it is equally magical during Christmas. Strasbourg is a much bigger city than Colmar. If you want a more intimate location, then Colmar is your choice. If you want to be able to do more activities, you should go to Strasbourg. The two cities are just 30 minutes away by train. If you have the time, I suggest you visit both of them. P.S. We do plan to visit Strasbourg the next time around.

This was the last week of November 2023 between 4 and 6 pm. Can’t really remember the exact date and time. It wasn’t freezing that day maybe around 5 degrees Celsius.

The hotel is post-security. When we checked out, we just went straight to our boarding gate.

@kristine8509, This is just a standard room. We were there during the winter. I am sure they had a heater, but I can't remember if they had AC. We usually book Expedia for our hotel needs. While planning our summer visit to Europe this year, we made sure all our hotels had AC. If you look at the amenities tab on their website, if it shows a snowflake icon, that room has AC.

@ebiofoto, My answer is contingent on what activities you want to do, if you are driving or using public transportation, and the timing of your visit. For example, Zurich is more convenient for public transit because almost everything converges there. Interlaken is more centrally located, and getting to places like Bern, Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, and even Jungfraujoch is easier and faster. Zurich is already festive, and the Christmas markets are open as early as the last week of November. Interlaken starts their festivities around mid-December.

@ebiofoto, We have not been to Interlaken during the Christmas season. At best, we were there on December 1, and there were no festivities yet, as Interlaken is a small town. As for Zurich, as early as the last week of November, there are already Christmas activities until probably December 24 (the last day of Christmas markets). If you have never been to Switzerland, you should start in Zurich; then, you can go on side trips to Interlaken, Lucerne, and Bern if your schedule permits. There will definitely be more activities in Zurich as it is their biggest city. Note that shops are mostly closed on Christmas Day itself. @svetlananersesyan8231, When you get out of baggage claim, you exit the terminal and cross a small street to enter another building. From there, you can find signs for the hotel, and it will take you 5 minutes or less to get there. The hotel is outside the terminal area, i.e., you must go through immigration to stay in the hotel, so you must have the proper visa. It is not a transit hotel located within the terminal area.

@larrymacavinta7331 Thank you very much! The voice is from an AI voice generator; recording our voices is more challenging, and ours is not as pleasant. The sites in Copenhagen were close to each other, and as long as our walk between sites is less than 1 mile or 15 minutes, we'd rather walk. While walking, there were many exciting things to see, adding to the experience. Frederik's church and Gefion fountain were not part of our itinerary, but we chanced upon them while walking.

@@happyshellfilms I'm not from Konstanz directly, but from near Singen. But that's in the same county. I was there from time to time at the border and did the same as you (Germany-Switzerland). However, until about the year 2000 there was still a border fence between Constance and Kreuzlingen (Switzerland), so in the past you could only do it directly at the lake, there was always a gate open.

Stay well rooms have an air purifier, shower infuser, and cleaning protocols. A regular deluxe king room will not have those amenities. Everything else, like room size and other amenities, is the same.

@kaymagno23, the stops are only several minutes long for passengers to board and deboard. If you want to stay in a particular place, you can get off the boat and take the next boat. The ferry is more of a passenger service on a schedule.

We had cheap economy tickets and we were at the back. I’d say the seats were tight.

@luisdiegohidalgo, That risk exists depending on who will strictly impose the rules. However, the risk may be lower than getting a stamp from a tourist location instead of a real country. If you think about it, Liechtenstein is a bonafide state; if not for the Schengen area, our passports may have been stamped if we enter the country. We intend to get stamps from other European microstates like San Marino, Andorra, etc. What we won't do is get stamps from non-state tourist spots, e.g., Checkpoint Charlie. We have been back to Europe and traveled to Asia several times and have been fine so far.

Yes, this hotel is located airside after security near the F gates. If you are connecting from one international flight to another (non-Schengen) on Schiphol, all you need to present to the front desk is your passport and ticket for your same-day or next-day flight.

There is really little to do in the hotel. As you've seen in the video, it's the front desk, then the rooms. The hotel has little entertainment except the TV in your room. But if you want to lie down and sleep, the hotel is perfect. You can spend the rest of your time walking or shopping in the terminal.
