beutiful no hold bars , artistic docu, it hits right in the heart of what art should be. and not over disected by pretencious " scholars " but to hear it from the horses mouth, its a treat to cherish, brilliant film it should be shown in every art program in schools,

I only heard of Jeremy Mann very recently. Between the subject matter and the style of filming, the mood, the vibe, the music, the colours... this has to be the best looking documentary I have ever seen. Thank you so much - both you and Mr Mann - for making such staggeringly beautiful art.

I've been following Jeremy Mann's work for over 5 years now. Have this folder on his name saved inside my Art reference folder. Have also tried painting like him, cityscapes, digitally. But abandoned that idea as the raw life in his brush marks and paint were completely missing from my pixel-ed renditions. I had seen this trailer long, long back, after THU 2014 or 2015 probably, and had waited for it to come on youtube someday [films like these are never released/talked about in India]. Absolutely loved it. Each frame, like a painting, shows the world of this artist in all the moods and lights and colours. Would share this among my artist friends, a few people I know in our country who knows him and respects his work. Thank you for making this film and sharing with us, a glimpse into the life of an artist. As someone trying to live the life surrendered to the madness of Art, this hits right at home. : )

First time hearing of Jeremy mann. Ok , a building, a women okay? what's the point of pushing paint on canvas if you could probably use an iPhone filter to produce the same image? As if subconsciously he and the programmer of that filter where on the same generic wave length.

as an aspiring oil painter and student, and just someone who aspires to live from his craft in some way or another, I'll always come back to this documentary for motivation whenever i'm down. I think you managed to transform into a near perfect audiovisual form what makes Jeremy's paintings so captivating. I watched your film on William Wray and it carries that strenght, that bruteness too, very well. Congrats on the work and on the filmmaking, and I hope that this film stays available for years to come, as the form of art it is and as an ode to a great painter that Jeremy Mann is too. Cheers.

I have this interest with Jeremy Mann. I have never had “a favourite artist” until this recent year and I am 52 😳. Jeremy is raw and authentic , I really relate to his thought process and quite lifestyle. The more I learn about Jeremy as the artist and his process validates my thoughts as a growing artist. Brilliantly informative, this was a great watch and it will be seen again. Incredible and inspiring 🥰

I just discovered Jeremy Mann's paintings recently, and I very quickly came to the conclusion that he is the greatest living painter I know of. I think he is in the top few greatest painters of all time. He might be the best ever, but it is hard to say.

Jeremy is my favorite contemporary artist (painter). I mean "artist" because I see art in his house's design, in his body expression, in the way he wears his clothes...at last in his gorgeous and supreme work. It's interesting for me, as an admirer, watching his routine and finding that we share some essence (a dark and stormy view). I'm not an artist (I don't feel confortable to name myself as one while my work is made for my own need). Anyway, I am an art student and I can at least say that his peculiar way to portrait his emotions intensify my own ones.
ps: What a stunning doc! With each frame one new stunning painting. Congratulations!

Well I discover his work today, and he is just the perfect man, I have the same though about woman and curve a year ago, and.. damn... when he says that in movie, I literally understand my voice in world of art, I work on digital but nothing can stop me to get this touch of old master and abstract shape of Mann. He looks me on all aspect, solitude, though... on 5-10 years, I hope I got the same life...maybe a bit more social though! Thanx for this amazing work loic, much respect to both, and keep be creative guys for a better world !!!

Amazing film , how original and unique Jeremy's technique.
Those city scapes we're amazing. It was good to hear someone else besides me who sees and doesn't mind talking about how beautiful woman are. I'm one of those painters that is moved by beauty , not politics or emotion or abstract , but beauty in all it's forms. To me women are the pinacle of what physical beauty is
even though they're physical beauty is just the beginning .
Great to see another artist that sees that and also incorporates it into the work as well as seeing the beauty in all things.

“ I don’t break many boundaries. Im not trying to piss people off or make huge, epic statements”
I was a fan of his work now I’m a fan of his persona. As a college educated artist that stuff always irritated me, the need for art to say more then the work itself, to stand for something. Thats why I stoped going to exhibitions, cause i needed to cut through all the smoke and shit to see the work.

Jeremy does lovely gorgeous paintings , but i think he needs a part time girl friend.
Hope he has one or 2, because he obviously loves women and their shape like a man should - he can't always wake up with a cat at his age tho. It looks quite depressing this life of his . Let's hope he made plenty of money and makes plenty - get some sunshine and a girl to swim in the ocean with

Jeremy, why your cityscapes are so brightly transgressive - and your "womenscapes" are so academically barely correct like sweetheart postcards? Why you don't handle woman's body as you do with the buildings??
