Story behind this song:
I sent out an email on April 1st to a lot of my youtube friends with a very rough mix of this song with only one verse and chorus. I had no idea if anyone would even be interested in singing it with me, but within 24 hours 90% had responded saying they were in. A week later I sent everyone their parts. Luckily I was familiar with each individual voice, so I tried to pick parts that would showcase their vocals and also be the perfect match for mood in the song. 3 weeks later, (50 hours of editing/mixing)... all the parts were in and the video was completed. This project has been an amazing experience and we all hope that a real difference can be made with it.

たいした揺れでもなかったのでいつも通り過ごしていましたが
夕方ニュースで見てとても驚きました。
本当に日本で起きてるの？と
同じ国に居るのにまるで別世界に居るように感じました。
被害が大きかった場所にとても大切な友人がいて真っ先に連絡を入れ無事を確認できて安心しましたが…
あれだけ明るく笑い声の絶えない友人がまるで別人のようになっていました。
震えることと、心ここにあらず声を出すことしかできない。
友人は今も苦しんで不安感と恐怖感に襲われ夜寝るのも一苦労しています。
私は必要な物を送り、マメに連絡を入れることしかできません。
少しでも友人の心の穴をふさぐことができるよう

I live in Kumamoto. There was a big earthquake in April. The damage was less than time of the tidal wave five years ago, but there is a person who will lose a house and see tomorrow yet. A tear didn't stop at a person's of all over the world hoping in this way. Thank you very much.Arigato.

I live in one of the towns that got hit the hardest by the tornado.
My house wasnt effected but many of my friends lost their homes and Businesses.
This song is wicked cool and I think what you guys are doing is awesome.its good to use art forms to help people.

I cannot appreciate this song more than ever. As a Japanese American, seeing the instant news of a devastating disaster and the horror that my family is there was just unrealistic. To hear the ever growing problem of the earthquake, the tsunami, then the nuclear power plant, I couldn't withstand it. Now there's a slow recovery thanks to the generosity and prayers of those around the world- this song is just one of many, and the message has gone through. No one deserves a tragedy. Thank you!

Thank you. The tornadoes came close to my home but the heart of storm just missed us. we lost power for 3 days and many people I know had damage to there homes from frees and hail. And this was the softer part of the storm.
