PS: Keep in mind that a hog rider can be a fine first pick if you have a game-plan of immediately going for a Greg! But for standard 'push the middle' gameplay you'll find that if you pick him first he'll drop very low in health unless you're able to get a way to heal.
You helped me realize why my Hog Rider starts were so often going poorly. Thank you!
It had been particularly frustrating since I'd be so excited to get Hog off the rip that the rest of the match going poorly felt extra bad.
dynamike is literaly the best first pick in the game, he never fails to give you no damage, no speed and a lot of opponents waning to hug you 🤗

i legitimately have no clue how dynamike exists in this game as bad as he is. it’s like usually every character has some redeeming quality but dynamike is just completely trash. the AOE aspect is hardly noticeable, he needs to be buffed asap.
@@tack3545true especially that wizard does the same damage as him, has another ability and are both rare, the only thing better is his explosion range and he throws but the dps is divided by 2 meaning 1 of them will deal less dmg

Chicken is actually super OP first pick in pinata mode.. with its fast attack speed you get coin for everyhit to pinata.. try it!

traders are good, but you're not gonna be able to farm coins quickly, other squads will just kill you (if you're still in SJ you'll be fine, but you won't survive SL)

@@skyfeelanAgree, you'll most likely be vulnerable to the surroundings especially if you're spotted by an opponent with units that could easily destroy you.
Apart from that, low damage equals low defense.
The only issue with this game is the pay to win option of buying keys, get rid of that, and world peace is achieved
Agreed, waiting 3 hours of 1 chest key is too much. They should reduce it to 1 hour or give 2 chest keys for free every day.
@@shubhamjaiswal2954 that also, it's just too long for a game as simple as this, brawl stars basically made starr drops so that we have to play 10 times a day, that's more than enough to enjoy it, imagine wasting the three keys you have waited overnight to play just to get dumped by pay2win players.

@@shubhamjaiswal2954 they could also increase the max amount of free chest tickets you can hold, so after a day of not playing you would have like 8 keys waiting for you
You didn't mention medic, and i know why, but if he pops up early,.. i get the medic if u have a barb or shelly. He keeps them alive at the start...
But I agree, Barb and Shelly are the way to go. Still, as health can be a thing early game. Medic typically comes in clutch
He is not a good FIRST pick
He's nice to have early because you can't guarantee to have him near the start, especially before 2 min remaining
Not good at first pick, but if I have gob bo medic, I might just pick medic depending on the game mode

Regardless, I totally agree, and feel like if rares and epics are being brought up, our comments speak to that.
And yes, lmao, getting a medic 3rd or so will help heal those squishy common units from the F tier, otherwise you lose immediately if you get into an early fight. Or fight a boss/squad before you're really ready. 👍
@@Simon-22 I never said to pick him first. I said that he is a good later pick, based on Chisgule bringing up rares and epics at 7:08.
I believe medic, among others, are okay later picks to help even the strong commons survive as you squad up. Notice that I said medic "IF" you already have x, y, or z common characters.
I'm sorry if I wasn't clear, but it seems like at least one person got my point, so please don't rip into me and pounce assuming I made a statement that isn't true.
I never said to pick medic first. It was an add-on to the hog rider, bk, queen, and mortis part of the video
@@Will_3000 did I rip onto you sorry if typing „first“ in cabs was misleading I wanted to point it out and was confused on seeing this comment since it was a video about first picks but you are right he could have maybe pointed out that picking medic in midgame isn’t a bad choice.

Best SB YT out there! Another great video!! Here's a video idea you could consider: breaking down different strategies / best team comps based on the map. Like how Bee hives are the center in some maps vs not in others. Should you rush mid or farm, etc.

Actually the chicken can be good for supplying speed boosts at the start and can be good if you have a high max turbo late game

I used to pick any rare/epic if I had a chance to, but it's actually a terrible idea as it is very difficult to fuse in the early game and chests end up very expensive

Chicken is a fairly good first pick. Yeah until you have a few hachlings his damage is a bit low. But you have boots.
You can just speed through the early game economy and go faster than others. If your second pick does a fair amount of damage having chicken first is good.
Bo is also great first. But it depend on the mode. While I think he doesn't belong in weak. He still 2 shot crates. And destroy game mode enemies. It's the easiest way to get big amount of coins early on the gobelin thief's mode for example.
Gobelin is also pretty good has he is basicly just more dps. As you can instantly open 2 boxes.
As for other suppliers. Trader is the worst since he doesn't give you more gold. But he still heal you. But the other are just another gold source that help you speed through the early game economy. And if you want a combat ready squad. We'll just get the first supplier alone and he might die later freeing a spot.
What if I get to pick Bo, el primo and chicken as the only options?
Calling Greg a poor firstpick is just absolutely wrrong. The greg start gives you such high amounts of gold in no time, that before anyone would ever try to search the fight, you'll already be so far ahead to anyone not having greg start. He's literally the best first pick in the common category. I'd only prefer barb king, archer queen or tank

I am and it is still true. Havent lost a Single greg starter game
Just do the maths. Trees are OP right now, you find em everywhere and on 4 Stars greg even heals, although I do not have it yet
There is nothing that gives you consistently more coins through early and midgame. The Barb or Shelly start is just wayyyy slower. Ofc if I already found a tank firstpick I just conquer middle and dont care about gregs anymore. Punishing any supplier heavy build I can find.

It's premium unit from what I experienced from playing for 1 week, I have a 3 star unit but still doesn't have hog riders even though it's just a rare type unit. I think you can buy them in store with lots of coins or you can just buy them in packs for real money

Queen needs just 6 babies for 3 star
El Primo should NOT be chosen when the match starts, with his low damage and attack speed he'll take excessive time to get coins to open chests.
On the other hand, Greg, Goblin, Chicken and Barbarian should be picked right away, as Barbarian can defeat weak troops fairly easily, Goblin gives you additional coins when chosen/fused, Chicken gives you turbis when chosen/fused (Which you will need a LOT), and Greg as he can chop trees for loot. (Mavis can be an alternative, but Greg is faster and gives the same amount of money.)

Dude I think your vids are only catered to players who truly grind the game and spen money on it. For us f2p casual players who play .5-1.5 hours a day, vids like these don’t help since we don’t have characters like tank
You do have barb though, and barb is the #1 pick for commons.

The end game and the early game are two different things.

i cannot be the only one to pick a medic or hog rider when the rest is common just becouse if you dont have it mid game/ end game its gonna be so anoying to not have speed or have no healer becouse i just never get those 2
soooo I've first picked medic before, and the issue is that his dps is low and you can't rush fuse it, so he becomes an expensive opener.

but bo won’t do you any good late in matches, so take the boots anyday.
@@yordyuzzyel8062 chicken is not good early game, the point of early game is to farm as fast as possible. Also Bo is still useful for taking out monsters in the middle at the end of a game, especially when paired with archer queen
