jongho is seriously one of the best voices in kpop and hes still young so he can get even better.. wich is terrifying 🔥
my favorite thing about ateez is that they all sound so different and they all have different strenghts so when they are whole they are perfect ^^ also seonghwa auditioned as a rapper so his journey as a vocalist is so impressive!

Their vocal line definitely untouchable. Yes, Jongho has been the backbone of it but can’t deny my love for Seonghwa and San’s vocals. And their range. I am sure Wooyoung, Yeosang and Yunho will shine more and more.
Some of my favourite San vocals are when he's on vlive just singing random songs including their own, his voice is so beautiful without any effects! Really hope someone would make a compilation of them someday!
Since you like ballads. Ateez best ballads are Star 1117, Be With You, Turbulence, and this one is not really a ballad but in Celebrate Jongho belts a great note.

That overlap that you hear is just the backing track along with the MR, but ultimately, either way, you're hearing their respective voices, whether it was something pre-recorded or live

13:47 yes , its been proven so many times and i watch the vlog of sillypak and christy here on yt and they share their opinion on san because they attended their concert and yea san sings 100℅ live. They said yea he pust 100℅ in his performance but he actually put his 200℅ in vocals even with hard choreography and he is stable. His stamina is crazy.
Yessss, little of a crime that they didn't add San's falsetto's. Loving your ateez reaction already, i'd love to watch more and that shirt, love it. They proudly sing 100% live, absolutely love that about them.

Omg its a shamed u didn't see san's vocal more but actually he's a very versatile singer and has a very wide range tooand oh he's very stable too. He's their lead vocalist for a reason i wish they put more but anyway ateez vocal line is really one of the most stable and stronger vocal line in the industry
I love Ateez's whole vocal line but Seonghwa's voice is my absolute favorite its just so beautiful!
A good ballad by them is 'Be with You' to showcase the members vocals (I don't think there is a live performance yet but you could look up lyrics to see who is singing and what the lyrics are). It is one of my favorites on the new album. I saw them this year live, and they are all showstoppers and their live vocals are amazing and beautiful. Seonghwa and Yunho can get very low with their voices as well but Yeosang typically is the lower register. I have thoroughly enjoyed your Ateez journey :)
AAAHH thank you so much for reacting to a vocal-focused ateez video!! i personally really love ateez's vocals, the different colors of their voices, and how they round each other out as a group altogether, so this was such a nice surprise to me :)
i totally agree that some of the clips don't give the purest display of their vocals, so if you'd like to check out some different clips, i'd recommend any of the stages on it's live (turbulence, thank u, fever, or promise)!
also jongho as your bias wrecker is completely relatable, that dude can SING and will make sure you know it sooner or later lol. one of my absolute favorite clips of him is a short 50-second clip of him singing "is it still beautiful" on yoo heeyeol's sketchbook! he's OUTSTANDING. he's also done a solo stage of "one late night in 1994" on that same program :)
Hai Topher! Thought I'd pass on some things. First, you'll want to revisit the ATEEZ versions of: Block B - Yesterday, BTS - Boy with Luv, and the ATEEZ pre-debut song written by Hong Joong, From. Second, you pointed out a song that you thought might have been from Kingdom, but none of the Kingdom performances were included in this video. The one you referenced was from Immortal Songs, which is a competition show where an older-generation artist is selected and then soloists and groups perform covers of their songs. ATEEZ is one of the few kpop groups to have won, and they've won 3 of the 4 competition (there's also one just performance show) episodes they've been on, because hi, vocal and performance kings. Third, there is a lot of video of them just randomly singing during their vlive and ATEEZ log videos, especially Jongho, because he'll bust out whenever anyone suggests it. :) I haven't seen a compilation that includes those to good effect, but I'll keep an eye out for a recommendation. Fourth, Jongho's vocals are truly stunning. This video doesn't show you the 4-octave range he displayed in Kingdom's Wonderland: Symphony #9 performance (B5, what!?), or in their cover of IKON's Rhythm Ta, which just had some great belt-and-hold action. There's this short clip of him just blowing off a high note for Answer (ua-cam.com/video/pdRZN80Tvfc/v-deo.html). He has professionals helping him develop his range and tone, and it's definitely paid off. Fifth, thanks for watching and sharing, and of course always wonderful to see you and hear your thoughts.

ateez cleared things up in their recent WIRED interview youtube and have said that they can say with confidence that they sing live 100% 💗 it's just sometimes the MR backing can be louder than their voice

While it's true Ateez do always sing live, they do use backtracks, which is what you're hearing, not necessarily a reverb from the mic itself. Every kpop idol uses a backtrack when they're performing to make performances sound cleaner since it's so difficult to sing and dance at the same time. I believe backtracks are actually required on music shows, but take my words with a grain of salt since I might be wrong. If you wanna see some amazing live vocals you'll wanna check out some of their 2022 world tour fancams. @@tinyfanboy I think in the debut days, some members used to use the backtracks. I remember Yeosang, and Wooyoung at some parts in the song. But other members have always been live. That’s only in the initial performances. So we can’t claim they are 100 percent live, but they are 95 percent. As compared to many other groups from their generation or earlier, their live is so good esp when they have such intense choreo. It definitely comes with lots of practice. Proud to say Hongjoong, Jongho , Seonghwa and Mingi have always been live. Always.

Not enough people are talking about Yeosangs gorgeous Baritone voice and that needs to change. Considering that he's the only Baritone among the Lyric, Spinto and Dramatic Tenors in the vocal line he's holding himself up very well.
An amazing reaction! That particular video is a little old tho, and i think they've all improved even more with the last couple of albums so i think there's more to hear from them. And yes they are such great dancers/performers that sometimes we forget about their singing but these boys are really really good. If you have the time you could react their "live concert" on the "It's Live" youtube channel, the video is a little long but they perform a lot of songs live and it sounds really good

Pleassee check out some of Hongjoong next!! He along with San and Seonghwa are known as the "Demon Line" Because they turn into literal demons on stage. Hongjoong has some of the most amazing facial expressions and stage presence I've ever seen.
