so i’ve been testing this on master duel and it works freaking great. the lock synergizes amazingly with the dark spirit attrition strategy. you get the lock, then make them crash their Vice King/Emperor into your Curse Necrofear to clear out their back row. then crack back with nightmare share or use a farfa to banish vice and OTK. or go into dragublion. and if you don’t hit the lock, you still have the dark spirit attrition strat. it’s so good! the lock is so hard for decks to deal with! (deck list below) here is my master duel deck list. it would work better with Glitch but fiend griefing still gets the job done. the control you have with the 3x griefing, droplets, lock, and spirits is really effective. here is my rough deck list (doing from memory sorry) 3x fiend griefing (need 3 so you can find it off of lilith) 3x give and take 3x forbidden droplet (control + spirit recycling) 2x trade in 3x void apocalypse 3x ties of the bethren 1x premature burial 1x monster reborn 1x Pot of Extravagance 3x tour guide 3x lilith 2x scarm 1x dark spirit banishment 1x dark spirit malice 1x farfa (use master king and dante to recycle) 1x rhino warrior (not actually that useful in this deck since he doesn’t work with brethren) 2x archfiend heiress 3x archfiend emperor 1x archfiend empress 1x curse necrofear 1x D/D/D Vice King Requiem extra nightmare shark dante + 6 drop XYZ that he goes into dragublion package 8 drop machine that attacks direct and negates (i forget his name) zeus master king archfiend cherubini knightmare phoenix and cerberus unchained abdomination link level 5 fiend that negates summons no call of archfiend or the other archfiend revival card, you don’t need them. plus you need room for 3x of your combo piece traps to ensure lilith can snag the missing piece.

I didn't even realise that Premature Burial was legal in Master Duel, I'll have to take a look at the forbidden list again Curse Necrofear is a great addition as well. She's just so useful for her recursion
This is a pretty good idea. Only issue with the emperor line is a lot decks still run knightmare phoenix and cerberus which are both fiends. So they just need to normal summon and link away and they can start playing. The D/D/D line works a lot better for the lock you are trying to set up. It also requires a specific 3 to 4 card set up.
Yeah the Emperor line is weaker but still disruptive. You're right though the D/D/D line is way stronger Sometimes it can be 3-4 cards, other times is can just be 2. So long as you have a way to dump the fiend and bring it back, you're away really. And with cards like Foolish Burial, Void Apocalypse, Archfiend's Glitch and Fiend Griefing, there's plenty of options
@@TheArchfiendGuy both lines im finding work great depending on the matchup. DDD works great if they don’t have an out for him, emperor works better if they do (or if you know they don’t have fiend links) since he recycles spirits. i just run 1x DDD and 3x emperor and play😊 both
D/D/D is definitely the more powerful lock but as you say, both cards work in different ways. If they out the D/D/D lock somehow then you never get it back because it's a pendulum monster, but with Emperor you can do it again or make more use of him

You can increase the consistency of this combo by using Fiendish Rhino Warrior to send the Archfiend Emperor or D/D/D Vice King Requiem to the GY, or search it with Doomdog Octhros and discard it. For example, summon Tour Guide, use it to summon Rhino. Activate Ties of the Brethren and summon Lilith and Doomdog Octhros. Tribute Octhros for Lilith's effect, getting Give and Take. Octhros searches Vice King Requiem. Link Tour Guide and Rhino into Muckraker From the Underworld. Use Rhino's effect to send anything you like to the GY - such as Archfiend Heiress to search Archfiend Glitch. Use Muckraker's effect, discarding Requiem and summoning back something (e.g. Rhino). There you have the combo set up from 2 cards, with additional disruption!

Where do you find these strategies? That sounds like a major pain for nearly any archetype to try and deal with! I think I saw someone mention using Fusion Deployment to summon Black Skull Dragon and then target it with Palabyrinth to summon Annihilator Archfiend. Also, maybe Makiyu the Magical Mist (I hope I spelled that right) could be a cheeky tech for a more Summoned Skull archfiend deck?
Just scrolling through cards and thinking, "huh, there's a thought" Makiu is an awesome card! It's just a shame it skips your battle phase if I'm remembering correctly
1 Combo I saw with Red Daemons Dragon is to use Synchro Call to summon Hot Red Daemons Dragon King Calamity on your opponents turn so they can't activate cards/effects and when your turn comes around, you nail em. But I prefer using the fiend Archfiends. Also I like using Tourguide to Heiress, then Commander busts Heiress to get Palabrynth, then Banish Tourguide to get another Commander, Xyz into D/D/D/ Rand 6 Caesar so its a 3300 Atk monster with 2 Negates of Special Summon Effects
Yeah that's a great combo! Wave High King Caesar is so strong. If you can afford to run him then definitely go for it I know the PUNK line that summons Calamity at least. Combining that with this could make the deck a decent stun variant

Only until a few days ago when I found myself unable to special summon a level 8 dragon type monster while he was on the field, did I stumble upon it. Cost me the game xD
Maybe u can do it with branded fusion,im pretty sure people tried that ido with branded fusion was used with the branded trap, ACTUALLY THINKING ABOUT IT,u could do with archfiends too, the trap was branded expulsion,so basicly i think u need foolish the archfiend with branded fusion,and a normal summoned mons to banish with mirrorjade,you would send Albion as cost,get branded expulsion then tribute mirror jade opponent turn to lock him with archfiend etc Also the ddd armaggedon stuff is wild bc u can xyz into machinex,then climb to those big spiders to basicly get a Zeus 4 materials
Yeah! That new branded trap can really help speed things along, and Branded Fusion is always a good card to run Maybe we can really optimise this approach and start dominating!
An opponent stole my archfiend emperor the other day in Master duel from my graveyard with monster reborn, and this exact thought came to me because I thought to myself that they really can't summon anything else at that point unless they are running fiends. Lol
Garbage Lord is indeed pretty useful! A nice extender but we really need to be careful with all the LP costs Sometimes I felt that Garbage Lord helped me bring out Masterking, but by then I've already paid the 2k LP Just needs more testing though
Yeah 100% but all strategies have outs like that. An unbreakable board also loses to a sided in Sphere Mode, but you're right! The thing I like about this strategy is that it's strong but not completely unfair. You can still deal with it with cards like Forbidden Droplet, or even a tribute summon. But it can slow them down enough to either push for game or at least make them burn through key resources
It feels like it should be inconsistent, but it's not really But it's also just one thing we can do in the deck, so if we don't pull it off turn 1 it's no big deal I suppose

Emperor synergises better, yeah. DDD could still be a side option for that extra punch if you need it

Yep! The hidden Emperor effect can really screw some strategies over. It just shuts down Sky Striker for example
