Where I live, Palo Alto California, I don't see many split window VWs. But when I do see one more often than not it's been restored as a show car. My guess is that in the future the unrestored vans will be a rarity.
What's better than OCTO!!! Since we can't go back to the "60's".... i guess anything goes in the world of VDUBS...i like stock ...or original...and there's nothing wrong with restored... i see lots of cars that are overloaded with accessories and all i ask myself is, Why?

Hey Mike ! Back in 72 if you could trade a split to get a bay you would jump on it.

long story it died with some greed issues from what I hear. Main guys started this to replace it.
