This is "tana-taka" where I drew the main visual of sketch art! Thank you for introducing me to my art! I am honored to be part of this amazing game!😁😁😁
I know that sacrifice man when making a game. I've also worked on a game during lunch of my 1st job. That takes a ton of love and passion for what you do. Good work guys.
The game is REALLY fun man, i highly recommend it to anyone who loves fighting games. Crazy that a fan made game like this is one of my favorite fighting games in recent years. It's just that good.
This is such a cool story, and it’s kinda unreal the various people they managed to get onto the project. Been meaning to try the game out for months now; I guess now is as good a time as any.
That was a really cool documentary! I am very impressed that the game was able to get so many professionals to contribute to it. There is no way that this game can get shut down by WB or Nickelodeon. The characters are MUGEN based. Dev team or not, MUGEN files have a way of floating around the internet.
I randomly made it into parts of this doc, which is dope. I'm actually sad that this documentary isn't longer because there's already so many stories to tell about this game.
Just pure love for these guys, turning this project into an amazing game. Kudos to all of you and def enjoying the game. It is surreal how everything came together. Proud to be a small part of it
I'm a TMNT fan and remember the Sega Genesis Tournament fighters. This is super dope! I will start learning the mechanics. Rollback would be icing on the cake. Cheers!
@@aznpikachu215 As someone that's been around MUGEN since 2000 or so, I can tell you that the community has been consistently horrible about putting out broken characters and showing no interest about fixing issues. There's a few creators who have bucked that trend, but they are the exception.
If you were to tell me back when I was 11 years old, that a crossover fighting game between the TMNT and Justice League would be a thing, I would scoff at the idea and probably dismiss it. But now, I think it’s dope. These guys are amazing.
Mugen is best known for being that crazy wild west of dumb silly characters, but there are definitely some people that go above and beyond to make something that isn't just "Mugen". Nowadays, anyone that wants to make something more serious is using IKEMEN instead. Hoping to see more Mugen/Ikemen stuff be recognized, HDBZ and Black Heart already got recognition, but I want to see Shades/Last Bout, Famicom Fighters and Gensokyo Reloaded get their chance as well.
@@Holdbacktoblock I'm hinting at the fact that I coded that too lol. but the characters themselves are by SeanAltly. same name on twitter and what not.
Hey guys! Thanks for featuring my set from Climb Cancel and some of the in-game dialogue I worked on throughout the game. As they said in the video, this game feels fantastic and I hope the ride continues for a long time to come. Hopefully I can call the action as a commentator at Combo Breaker, but if not I'll do my best to show the world why this is truly a fantastic fighting game with a mix of Darkseid, Omega Shredder, Donatello and Batman. What I really love about this game is not just how knowledge is rewarded so heavily, but how the game rewards you for doing good things rather than give you a crutch for being lazy like so many other AAA games do nowadays. The Omega Effect (EX moves) is offered by doing good things throughout the match like getting the first hit or avoiding getting hit, same reason I wasn't against Gems in SFxT other than the pay-to-win garbage which is thankfully absent here. As a behavior analyst I find that reinforcing people for doing something right is the best way for them to learn and I wish other games adopted that philosophy for their own mechanics. There's also a ton of ways to express yourself in TMNTxJL. A wide variety of strategies and playstyles can find their place in this game once the knowledge piece comes into play, which makes the cast extremely diverse at any level.
I appreciate the work that went in by Phil, but I do feel like there is probably something to be said about the way clips from the talking heads are edited together; sometimes I felt like statements didn't quite relate to the current topic at hand and felt a bit like non-sequiturs. Editing is still fantastic and this still makes for a cohesive narrative.
While it would be very dope for this to get official support, it'd also be very weird for Warner media to back 3 different fighting games involving DC (this, Injustice and Multiversus) while Capcom sorta won't do anything serious besides Street Fighter.
I love card games and fighting games, Yugioh is a personal favorite and one day I would love to work in a Yugioh Fighting game, this project makes me realice that is possible someday,
This game is the result of excellent teamwork. It's a shame that others Mugen projects aren't as lucky as being made by individuals passionate about what they are doing in the first place... Like Megaman X Fighting Arena, a fan made project started by a passionate guy but got parasited by some bad individuals.
Letting you know, the link in the description is a dead website. Domain owner (tobe) refused to sell the domain to Kamekaze after he was removed from the project.
I imagine that Ethan Van Sciver, former king of DC artists, would love to do some art for this. He now does Cyberfrog. He is by far one of the best artists to ever work at DC comics. He runs a UA-cam channel called "Comic Artist Pro Secrets". Yeah he's got some rough edges if you just look at a surface level. But dude is real, down to earth, and just generally a human sunbeam. If anyone from the dev team sees this, try reaching out to him. I think he'd really get a kick out of this, and the intent behind it.
You'll need windows to run the game, so any tutorials that shows how to get windows on steamdeck should help. Afterwards downloading this game should work pretty well.

It pretty much is. Considering most of the time you're seeing edits of broken characters. Haha.
