Hozin's first round from 1:20 till the end hit every single thing. Tai from 2:20 onward.even the scratching (look at hoan in the back for the reaction). I would not have minded seing a Tie Break for this
To be honest, I didn't even want to watch Tai's round after watching Hozin's round coz I know nothing Tai would do could beat what Hozin just did --' Looking at experience level, Tai still got long way to go but his balance is already at an exceptional level though :D It would take an OG popper with an even greater knowledge and diversity to beat Hozin's round in this lol :D
Shan Shin Idk man, sumtimes you win and sumtimes you lose, that's how it goes. Look at the recent greentek vs hozin battle. Tek smashed it, and it would seem like hozin is too inexperienced for that level, but sometimes it just isn't your day. Experience counts for a lot, but if you write out a new cat just cuz he is new, you miss out on a lot of amazing dancers. Imagine if people said the same thing about hozin when he was still coming up? Or slim or frantik?
slug I am only talking about this video man. Ofc I understand what you mean but in this video, Hozin performed exceptionally well which is why I gave him such praise for his rounds in this video. I like all poppers but my respect mostly goes to poppers who get to the top then change their style then come back and then again get to the top :D This is why I love Hozin and Greenteck the most :3 I love all other good poppers too coz they all worked hard to get to where they are but i guess it is personal preference of who I like to see dance most :D
Shan Shin Yup yup all good. That's cool, we all got our preferences, like I prefer styles where dancers have a clean hard hit. These guys just dance differently but it's all good. To me it's always exciting to see the new generation come up and I think they deserve some spotlights.
Michael C I talk what I see without sugarcoating the word to not offend anyone. ever seen a brutally honest guy who speaks his mind? yes that's me. I respect that you are trying to change me but nope, i m gonna stay the same :D
Sure? Are you saying Poppin' J does not know how to judge popping battles... :D You can also look for Pop Kun's reactions during Hozin's rounds. Pop Kun is a Korean OG popper too. There are things pros see that we can't see. Like how Firebac lost to Aziz in Battle Bad 2016.
Minh Vo If you watched a lot of battles, you'd know that even great poppers missed up judging tho. For ex sometimes a judge choose one, and the other judge choose another one, because everyone has their own point of view, and I've just said mine. To me, Hozin lost to both, and to JayGee more.
I do watch a lot of battles. I agree that great poppers can miss judge any battles. I also agree that everybody can have their own opinions. Jaygee is a god in boogaloo with crazy angles and spins. However, Hozin has a way more diverse and dynamic style. It was a very very close battle. I would prefer another round than a straight win for Hozin. As for Hozin vs Tai, I believe Hozin won though, fair and square. Like you said, we have our points of view and they can differ. I just didn't like the attitude in which you voiced your opinion, like "The fuck!" and all that. In one way or another, that sounded disrespectful towards Hozin and the judge, Poppin' J, who are both up there in my list of my favorite poppers. Hozin is my top 1 popper so I just kinda defended him in what I wrote in the previous comment. I agree with most of what you said about how a battle could be judged wrongly or by different points of view though. No hard feelings! Peace!
tai is a perfect example of a dancer that doesn't have a mirror - he's just dancing what he's really feeling regardless of form
well it might be a good thing thou

OMG Hozin you are the man...
