My brother Austin joined this academy it has proven itself my brother honors more things he has way more discipline parents if you are watching this you need to enroll your kids
This place is disgusting be prepared for your child to get severely sick at least once, get in a fight at least once, having multiple foot fungus infections. Foods great though
Thunderbird is for troubled youths. Kicked outa school or dropped out or before they become juvenile offenders. Your not going to find honors students or "good kids there". And the ged program is a joke UNLESS your child has self discipline and really wants it. They do a lot of pt so don't send your child there and then cry if he or she falls out. yOU KNOW THEY do strong PT! It is a second chance but the kid HAS to WANT it!
It's not just for "troubled youths." It can be, as they say, either your "last chance" or your "first chance"! I think it's an incredible opportunity for any teen looking to better themselves.
Why don't you leave the negativity for somewhere else!! 😢 Some kids looking this academy up , researching it to ease their minds because they're about to be there in a few short days and they see this negative comment....it's going to make them have anxiety and feel that they can't do it!!! Please....don't say it's a joke. My son is going to be going here in just a few days. And him and myself are having anxiety about it. But watching this video, doesn't make it seem horrible. I was mainly scared of bullying ... getting in the WRONG crowd there at the academy...and him not getting anything from it but coming out WORSE 😢 but honestly...seeing this comment just makes me feel at ease. Because knowing they actually do help kids/teens, and are at their side teaching them RIGHT from WRONG, and teaching them the basic necessary things they need to know in life, like CPR and helping them to be strong physically mentally and emotionally....makes me feel better about him going. I know he's gonna be JUST FINE ❤
I didnt want to go but I was in trouble and I didnt want to leave and im always thinking about it because I made strong relationships malong other brothers
I know this is an old comment but I JUST spoke to a recruiter this weekend and it is NOT just for so-called "troubled teens"... there are all walks of life who come to this camp, including "legacy" kids whose families have been through the program and they want their kids to do it too. It's for growth for anyone! You have to be a right fit for their program because, while technically it's free, it costs in upwards of $20k per student!! They are very selective about who they accept through their application process (400 applicants for a 175-bed facility)!! Hope that helps!
@Cylie Sellers it doesn't cost the parents money. It's paid for through funding but it costs approximately $20k per student for housing, clothing, food, etc. It's a 5-month program.
About to sign my kid up!
