Megadeth is Dave Mustaine. It doesn't matter who else is in the band. Megadeth dies when Dave does and hopefully that will be a long time from now.
Stating the obvious. Yet, it is very nice that Dave only hires incredible mucisians, for e.g. Marty and Kiko.

I remember attending a Megadeth concert in 1995 warfield theater in SF which had left me speechless (I was only 15). Seeing him today (me 41 y old) with a different line up of hired guns feels the same. He is the ultimate Metal GIANT! It feels like nothing can't steal this man's thunder!

Im gonna tell you something, a story. The first time i saw Megadeth (In Mexico City in 1998) , playing with Judas Priest, and even though the sound was bad and they had to share stage with the metal gods, Megadeth deliered, Marty was still there and I know what you mean that Dave is a metal giant, he has a unique magnetism and talent.. Many maetal heads wont agree, and some people I know didn't but that show was legendary by both bands, nor only Judas Priest. Dave belongs to the metal heavne (or hell)- The metal pantheon.

Christ, Mustaine’s Gibson tone has given Megadeth’s live sound the bite it needed.
There is so much going in to the soun and it's behind so many layers of other sounds that it doesn't matter what is the brand of the guitar. You wouldn't be able to tell what guitar is he playing in a blindfolded test with other guitars using the same electronics.
@@replicant8532 Right. That’s why when Malcolm Young died, Stevie Young joined the band and began using a replica of his signature Gretsch Duo Jet Firebird. Because the Gretsch sound was so unimportant in AC/DC’s sonic fingerprint. /s
His voice is getting better with each show but still has trouble with high notes.

I remember Dave doing this in Australia a while back, we crammed into a very small club in Brisbane... I was appalled it wasn't a stadium but I think it was Megadeth's low ebb. So it was cool see see him so close. I was 15 feet away from stage and was looking with a vibe of ‘Hey Dave, thanks for... Killing Is My Business and Business Is Good, Peace Sells but Who’s buying?, So Far So Good So What, Rust In Peace, Countdown To Extinction….etc etc. He gave the 90s a major kick up the ass. And he hasn’t stopped. Fucking awesome. I just felt thanks when eyeballing him, real ones. This guy’s attitude and playing have informed my journey deeply, the thanks evident in my look. At one point we locked eyes and he thanked me for thanking him.

Since the first time I heard Dave Mustaine I've been a die hard fan of Megadeth, regardless of whoever else is in the band (with due respect to other members). He gives birth to music & musicianship, and produces songs that are second to none. Megadeth will rule the Metal World till Mustaine Boss is there as he is! 🤘 Love from Bangladesh ❤️💚🇧🇩

No matter how angry I may be at Dave Mustaine over the way he's handled David Ellefson, I could never hate the guy. His music has just been such an important cog in my wheel of life, and the guy is just such a musical genius. No one can deny that. There's not many musicians on earth who can play the riffs he does, and sing at the same time. So gifted. Thanks, Dave !!!!!!!!!!! (But, forgive David and bring him back at some point).

Not many people said much about how Lomenzo was out of the band in 2010. But yet he came back, so surely Mustaine isn't as bad as some people think. He doesn't need to share it with people who wouldn't understand i.e. us, the fans. Sorry but Ellefson had to go, nothing exceeds the importance of the Megadeth legacy. No time to get caught up in drama and all the blah blah before releasing an album. And also, Ellefson's backing vocals are poor compared to Lomenzo's.
F , That’s stretching things a bit. He saw Trump is a loud mouth who’s politically incorrect and Dave probably saw a common thread there plus Dave actually likes his country, defends free speech, and doesn’t think we should divide people based on nonsense like race - all of which is what modern progressives and the democrat party are all about. Make no mistake, the republicans suck just as much as they always have but the left went off the deep end around 2014 and never came back.
Republicans are the same brand of awful they’ve been since like 2003 and Trump is a narcissist dickhead but the left and their infinite genders, give small children hormone blockers, no borders, equity instead of equality straight up commie nonsense is too much now.
