- I take you guys with me to my first ever SURF Fishing Tournament!! I had absolutely no clue what to expect, but I had my eyes on that 1st Place Prize $$$.

You should try saltwater fishing while standing just past where the waves are breaking. I fish like that here on the beach in SC with some shrimp and you can hook up every cast it feels like. It's definitely a different experience from standing on the shore.

If you're going for reds you wanna try to use crustaceans. I use blue crab and live shrimp. The live shrimp you gotta work cause they look for them by tailing and moving the sand around looking for food. So small sudden movements followed by a small waiting period.

Should try a rig that we use in here in Texas, spider weight with a circle hook and put a nice piece of fresh cut mullet on there or a while finger mullet. Tear up them bull reds and black drum, or use shrimp for some trout. But good video man good luck next time! 🎣 🙏

I fished the tournament as well. Look like you were north of the inlet. That area sux lol. We both picked the wrong beach. 3Rs was on fire. All I caught was skates and horseshoe crabs and all I saw from others were skates. I heard only 1 person was scored on conquest side

Buddy next time keep one ride with a Hilow rig so you can catch some more fish in with the other rod look for the big boys You can use one ride to get use points that can add up and add other aunt to get you a big fish or try to
