This is fukking awesome album! I think this is the best Black Sabbath record. I don't like Ozzy's vocals... I also like Sabbath's "Dio - albums". Way more better for me than "original" Sabbath-albums.
Immediately after that masterpiece Headless Cross comes this powerhouse, a song that transports you in to its enveloping rhythm, Cozy Powell a powerhouse behind the drums 🤘🥁🤘
Great album, great song, great lineup! It's amazing how underrated this album was in its time. After Ronnie James Dio's era, Tony Martin was the best singer of Black Sabbath. This is because Ian Gillan and Glenn Hughes each had their own album, while Tony Martin has five in Sabbath's history. Regards from Colombia, dear Mr. Iommi!
It's incredible how Mr Iommi composes on the voice of each Sabbath singer, in this case more epic but killer riffs his trademark, the first Sabbath album I heard was Eternalidol and then Tyr then I went to listen to the classics with Ozzy and Dio.

@@BrianYoungauthor For as long as I can remember, I've seen various rankings of Black Sabbath albums where Tony Martin's albums are often placed near the bottom or in mediocre spots. In some aspects, Tony Martin's albums are far more interesting than Dio's, and maybe even Osbourne's. So the word "underrated" here is a fact.
I've loved the Tony Martin era since it's original inception. I couldn't be more pleased or excited that these albums FINALLY have been re released! I'm actually envious people discovering these albums for the first time. I still remember my first time listening to them. All on the days they were originally released!
When I first heard this song, it completely blew me away. I discovered the vinyl of this album by chance and had no idea who was singing, so I had no predetermined idea of what to expect. I couldnt believe that what i was hearing was Black Sabbath, it was better than anything i had ever heard before and turned me in to a lifelong fan!!! Im so glad these albums are finally getting the recognition they deserve.
The Headless Cross is a heavy metal masterpiece after Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules macnifincit songs brilliant writing both Tony Martin Tony Iommi Cozy Powell and Geoff Nicholls were on top of their game in 1989
Stop … stop… stop… still got to wait till next week for my box .. Amazon have let me down and I’ve had to source one from a different supplier…. Can’t wait ..
Thank G ... Iommi. I just heard two total pos songs of the present. May they be washed away by the power and the melody of Tony Martin fronted Black Sabbath.
It was wise of Iommi to remix the Forbidden album, because when I read about this box set it said that the album was produced by a guy from a band fronted by rapper Ice-T so I listened to it on here and it was definitely badly produced, it's very thin sounding, which is not what Sabbath is known for. Some songs even sounded like In Living Color, which I was never a fan of. I think the songs should actually be entirely reworked, not just remixed. Tony is still alive so it's possible to turn those Living Color sounding songs into Sabbath sounding songs, and make sure there's some bottom end in it, use bass boost if necessary, because that album does not sound heavy, the guitar isn't even doomy sounding, not enough fuzzbox or something. Shoegaze is currently a very popular genre, and that's what it is, low fuzzy distorted guitar power chords at slow tempo, just like old Sabbath. Sabbath could make a whole new album and dominate shoegaze.
Hello gm Tony, I have The Devil & Daughter Picture Disc, also the Box Set which has your personal Autograph, I found at the Emeryville Record Convention back in the day when it first came out, the late 80s was such an awesome good times 1989, I was only 22yr old, so young back then, good 80s Heavy Metal times & btw I also have a 12" Picture Disk, the Cloak & Dagger (an extra song in the Flipside a Boxset), & Black Moon B-Side Single, thanks again Tony, have an awesome Sunday The Sabbath Day! 🤟 ⃝𖤐𓆩✞✟𓆪🤟⃤⩜⃝🤘⃤\m/⸸⁶⁶⁶⛧🤘
Tony's guitar and Tony's vocals just elevated Tony's presence in the band unlocking Tony's full potential so all credit to Tony for that.
Tony and Tony did a great job. All hail the Tonys!
Hahahahaahhaaha amazing use of words
This whole album is absolutely killer from top to bottom - a top 5 release in their discography IMO.
Top 3 together with 'Paranoid' and 'Heaven And Hell' albums!!
Headless Cross, Heaven and Hell, and Born Again were the 3 best non Ozzy Sabbath albums
One of my favorite Black Sabbath songs. People that only pay attention to Ozzy era stuff miss on so many good things!
There have been other singers?
@@Bogeyman19Was4BraindeadPeople yeah
The mid to late 80's Sabbath era is my personal favorite period when it comes to Tony Iommi's guitar tone and songwriting chops.
I just say 80s Sabbath, incl Gillan and Dio. Hughes was good too. But I'm pushing for an AI version of Seventh Star with Gillan.
Same feeling 👍
Such an underrated era of Sabbath!
I don't think that ....
There's is no such thing as a bad BLACK SABBATH album
I agree
Well said 👍🤘🤘
The whole Tony Martin era is so great 🤘🏻
Even Forbidden had a few gems! Tony Martin is an amazing vocalist that can’t be duplicated
The groove on this song is strong. I'm glad the Tony Martin-era is getting more high profile love!
The remasters really helped! Eternal Idol, Headless Cross, Tyr and Cross purposes have all new life breathed into them
I just want to say that Tont Martin is the best rock singer ever.
*Tony
Amazing voice! Best Sabbath singer in terms of vocal quality
Love this album, now more than ever! Tony Martin's singing and the power of the band is an awesome mix!

Some people think that Heavy Metal makes people violent but it actually calms me down
Cozy F’cking Powell!
Tony Martin's voice is something amazing and wonderful!!!❤❤❤
Tony and Cozy from 2:18 - 3:21 is just incredible harmonies. Listen to this with excellent headphones. So much power, enough to drive one insane.
nice song for a family reunion

Killer guitar solo on this one as well
Honestly, one of the greatest vocal performances of the entire 1980s.
Just absolutely incredible!!!
Indeed she walks around still. Crashing planes flipping buses and manipulating the past. Rock on Tony!
My love for Tony Iommi🎸 runs deep, and this is a whole new reason to love the Tony Martin era! Every track on this album is a masterpiece!
This drumming....thousand metal horses with eyes of fire running to the fires of hell🎉

Essa fase com tony Martin é muito boa.
Tony I'm a big fan of yours I'm from a small town in Brazil called Pocoes in Bahia
Martin and Iommi are a genius for all time. Martin's era was legendary, but so underrated.
I knew some random White Guy would use the mediocre word 'underrated'. Sigh. No it isn't generic guy.
