Hi Simon .one of these came with my Retro grand prix set . It drives ok on one magnet but I prefer magnet free on most of my cars . Sometimes one magnet can make these more fum on original tyres . Harry 👍
Thank you! Yes the retro grand prix! That is the set I got and I have found the same. This porshe is by far the quickest of the 3. I plan to review all of the cars at some point. Thank you for watching!
When you remove the magnets do you also switch tires? I find if I keep stock tires on that these are very slippery. My carrera Capri on stock tires is fun with just the rear magnet out on stocks. I need to experiment a bit. I like how the revo drives with the added weight on its sticky stock tires. Also I want to give the folks an idea about what you are getting out the box. So I guess this gives room for some follow up tune and review/revisit videos.
@@slotr Awesome I will be looking out for that! Those are one fun car I just wish the other Capris were at a reasonable price! Carrera please release another!
Excellent review! I've been on the fence about this one, but after your review I think I'm going to pick up one. I especially love those wheels!
Thank you. Carrera are really on point with the quality at a good price point. If you like the group 5 then this is a great addition.

I got the same set! I just got some urethane tires so my next step is to pull magnets and put those on and see how it drives.
NIce video. I have this same car from the 3 car vintage set, plus a few others and the Porsche is the best handler of the bunch so far.

You know.... the last time I lost a rear wing was the day before I took the plunge and pulled the magnets out of all my cars ;)
