I have 103 and mines are thick like that so I guess it depends on head size, follicle size, follicle count , and hair texture.

I don’t know how true this is but I believe it’s because they seal off the end of your hair??? I’m not 100% sure tho!!!
First set I had 113, second I don’t remember (lasted only a few days) third 127 and this set I started with 94 combined two so I now have 92 😬😅🙃
