100% facts. My only issues with her to be honest is the opportunities she obtained from identifying as part of the black culture. It’s opportunities she took from someone truly deserving. We made Aunt Becky pay the price for the college admission fraud. This was no different

People were also upset because she was faking hate crimes against herself. She also got a black man to play her father. It wasn't just her identifying as a black woman. The issue is more of a lack of integrity.

She seems genuinely connected to African culture and her work reflects it. I just wish she realised that she can love that culture, do good work for the community, raise black children while still being a white woman. I hope one day she realises that it’s OK to be white because that part of her won’t change no matter what.

    • @MusondaV

People are identifying as women when they're literally, basically, naturally and biologically male and they're not being punished but this woman is being bashed for racially identifying as black when she's white. Okay so it's bad to change a race but it's alright to change a gender?...

    • @tula1433

She compelled to change her race because the culture tries to vilifies being of white heritage. Once you are born with male genes, you can never change them into female genes.

There are Jews, Arabs, Indians, Persians , Kurds , etc. that don’t fit the Asian phenotype. The people of Central Asia can look as “Asian” as they do in East Asia. The term”Oriental” is outdated. Using the term “Mongoloid” is more accurate.

All we humans are is a bunch of walking mutations that migrated all over the planet with variations of skin tones due to climate changes, diets and position your country is to the equator. Different languages, cultures, habits and ethnicities emerged as modern humans evolved. Again there is no such thing as transracial. Rachel grew up with extremely religious parents who adopted black kids and refused to teach them their true history. She started teaching them (in secret) about themselves as black people and exposed them to black history art & culture. She fell in love with blackness through teaching her adopted siblings.
They were abused by the parents and molested by her real brother.
She’s so extreme in her actions because of how extreme her parents were with their religion. She wanted to distance herself from her real family and found a home in black culture.
There’s a difference between appropriation and APPRECIATION.

Whilst I cannot assume what she was feeling doing this interview, as a black woman, she made sure she kept Rachel feeling safe enough to talk and didn't 'sneak' any questions in that may have cornered her, no matter how tempted it may have been after the amount of hurt and offensive Rachel has caused to the black community. As a Caucasian that grew up in a largely Latino area (especially Mexican-American) I kind of understand where she's coming from. Most jobs I've had, I've been the only white person there. Most days I speak far more Spanish than English. I enjoy tv, movies, and music in Spanish and English. Not that I ever desired to be Mexican but since I was immersed in the culture, am fluent in Spanish, and love the food, I have come to enjoy Latino culture more than my own native culture. I have dated exclusively Latina women for years, not necessarily by choice, just the way it's happened and what I'm attracted to. I tend to have the most in common with Chicanos (people born in the US of Mexican parents). I so often get the "where are you from, Spain?" or "is one of your parents Mexican?" questions. Sometimes it seems like it would be easier to say yes instead of taking the time to explain that I'm just a gringo raised in the Hispanic culture who's come to enjoy it more than mainstream white culture. I don't think this is being a 'culture vulture' as long as you're not denying your true race.

When I was 15 years old someone called me a wannabe and then from then on I began to be quiet about my ability to speak Spanish and they understanding of the Latino culture. Maybe I don’t get it. I’m Hispanic dude that was raised in a mostly black neighborhood and had a lot of black friends growing up. Despite that they called me the n word out of endearment, I never told people I was black, I owned the fact that I was Hispanic, but I loved being excepted by another culture. I personally think it’s possible to do both, but all of our experiences are different.

@gabrielgalindo3008 Way different deal: you didn't encroach on them, they brought you in, Also, you didn't like and aren't telling everybody you're black. And, assuming you aren't white, your experience in this country is going to run parallel to the Black American experience, instead of as a colonizer.

@@USA-o5o I don't think you understood my comment. I said the similarity (one of them) is that the dominant race here in America is a settler/colonizer force. Not so of any other group that isn't white Europeans, primarily the English. Hello? Read the comment BEFORE you try to refute, or just post your comment as an op. It's not a response to anything I said.
