The voice actress for Misfortune was actually one of the devs and clearly she has a honest to God talent.

If you want more indie games, one that I could recommend which is so good and rich not only on characters but story (as Undertale) it’s Omori, it has more approaches to the “darkest” sides a game like this could have but at the same time is such a beautiful experience, I think you could like it!!! Love your videos and can’t wait to see more!!! 🖤

OMG LITTLE MISSFORTUNE IM SO GLAD YOU PALYED THIS!! Its such a bittersweet game to be honest ^^ If youre ever down to something more graphic I would really recommend Fran Bow by the same creators! (although it is really instense but defenetly worth it!)

Seconding the recommendation for Fran Bow, especially if you were intrigued by the lore that this game hinted at and want a deeper exploration of that. There isn't exactly a direct plot connection, but it takes place in the same universe (or set of universes), and a lot of the menagerie of weirdos that you saw when Benji led Misfortune to her final destination were, in fact, returning faces from the previous game.
As to intensity.... that's kind of a matter of where your own comfort zone boundaries lie, I think. Fran Bow definitely has more gore in it, while Little Misfortune has is less graphic visually but the dark elements are more grounded in real world horrors, where Fran Bow leans more into the surreal and fantastical. As a result, I couldn't really say one game necessarily hits harder than the other, since that's going to vary a lot from player to player. Either way, definitely worth checking out sometime if you enjoyed this one.

I know what you mean about kids. I remember when I met my friends niece. My friend, she wanted to watch a scary movie so she wanted her niece Teala to move on. She was unpacking her backpack from kindergarten and was walking us through what everything is for, and the work she does every day.
I was enthralled. It was like seeing a kitten for the first time or something. Coral finally went to ask her to move on and I just said stop I need to hear this. lol
I told her grandmother about it and she said "Ah yes, Teala. She is something else alright. I abuse her to clean my room for me."
If you want something from the same devs but a little more traumatizing and dark, Fran Bow's a good shout. It's longer though, so you wouldn't be able to do it in one sitting if you tried it out.
"A little more traumatizing" is underselling it.

yeah those things were the glitter spots and you need to collect them all for the real ending but you can just looked it up it's just and extra scene that you missed

Now after watching it, I'm reminded how touching this game is :) I used to work in foster homes and with children who were often from homes where they were mistreated.
This game really gets under my skin. It's a beautiful piece of storytelling - balancing the lighthearted fun and some horrible aspects of life. When I first played it I sobbed like crazy. Almost worked as sort of therapeutic release ^^

If you're in Guam, watch out for Dik Diks. Had an Air Force Vet talked about them when he said that he deployed, and he said Guam after I said Afghanistan(I was Infantry in the Army).

I'm not sure if your laptop could handle it, but I would love to see you play Little Nightmares 1&2. Creepy games in a really nice art style. Each game is under 10 hours to complete. Would be perfect October games for you😊
