I think the best part of the Heydrich path is the ending. He saved the world, and humanity, and even his family... but he was too late to save himself. Or even, as it turns out, his country too. The "German Anarchy" mechanic is a really cool feature because it makes sense that the nation would have hit breaking point. With Heydrich's suicide, the government has collapsed for a third time within a decade. The scars of two bloody civil wars are still cut deep across the cities and countryside. And now it's all happening again, but with basically no legitimate contenders left to fight for the throne, it truly becomes every man for himself. A fittingly tragic end to such a dark and dismal story.
The question is would Germany remain in Anarchy or would Order return For the return of stability I could see that at first a warlord period emerges between different groups and slowly Germany is reunified These warlords could include liberals, socialists, Monarchists, National Socialists, SS remnants, militarists etc

This was a very surprising story. I never thought that the Man with the Iron Heart would have done such things against Himmler in order to save the world. This TNO mod story line is an interesting one to say the least and the ending reminded me of Code Geass' ending in that both main characters committed a form of suicide thinking it would save their country and the world. Hell, some of the news clippings really made Heydrich look like Lelouch with the whole playing scenarios in his head.
He stopped nuclear armageddon, but that doesn't redeem anything that he has done before, so really it's less of a redemption and more like he learned how much of a failure the ideology he has followed is
I’ve seen a different idea for his story on Reddit, wherein he’s more like his OTL self in being a vicious, highly-competent, fearsome leader who’s looking to grab his own power and massively expands the SS and Gestapo to essentially create a Nazi East Germany but over the whole territory of the Großgermanisches Reich. I find that more interesting than his portrayal in current TNO. His current portrayal doesn’t really fit him, and there’s no way he’d ever fall for the Spartanist dogma.
Believe it or not, similar thing happened to OTL Heydrich‘s brother Heinz. He was so appalled by the scale of the Final Solution that he smuggled forged identity documents through newspapers to help Jews escape. When he thought that he was being investigated about to be found out, he shot himself. Turned out that it was only an investigation regarding the newspaper‘s paper shortage.

Just to make conclusion that Germany is dying because of him, and his blindness to Himmler.

Honestly, I find it a shame that this Content is set to be axed from TNO in the near Future. Yes, I know it's not very "realistic" (GOD, how much I have come to LOATHE this Word in relation to TNO...) or "historically accurate" to the RL Personality of Heydrich...but, dammit, it is just such a good Story! I wish they would at least keep it in as an optional Player-only path when they rework Heydrich's content.
It is also very insulting to the Czech audience to have a sympathetic story for the man who slaughtered so many of their people, which is the main reason its being changed
@@dremin7902 the point is that the "offensive" characters in the mod are characterized properly, for example Himmler, maybe he didn't actually want to nuke the whole world, but the brutality of his rule is in line with his character IRL. with Heydrich, you have him being portrayed as this Steven Universe-ass character who realizes why he is wrong and its a wholesum chungus reddit arc and its a bad characterization

Then you hear heroic triumphant music while the stormtroopers salute the rescued two pulling in. All of that wholesomeness feeling goes away immediately once that officer shows up and confronts Mando. It gets worse the point after Mayfield saves Mando from that officer’s lecture before the subject changes to him talking smugly about Operation Cinder, the incidental event Mayfield got his PTSD from after seeing many of his comrades die at the hands of the Imperial elites, which triggers him in that moment shoot that officer first before everyone else in the room. So, somewhat like that…

Look I don't wanna be the guy who says that this Heydrich is not realistic but it's true. He was called the Butcher of Prague, he was kind of a puppet to Himmler, and one of the architects of the Holocaust. There is no way in this timeline he would stop his hatred of minorities and the love of his ideology and party. Honestly I am happy that the TNO devs are reworking his path because I think it's going to be a better experience in terms of narrative and gameplay.
I mean, he didn't stop any of that. He simply realized how insane burgundy, and by association the reich was to nuke literally the world. He didn't fix anything, he just killed himself.
The most insane and brutal contender in the Civil War, yet he has the most interesting story and path.

Man, i really wanted a reformed Heydrich path, because that would have caused conflicts with the other powers around germany too.
I think what he realized at the end is that he can only be reformed by putting a bullet in his head

Look I don't wanna be the guy who says that this Heydrich is not realistic but it's true.
He was called the Butcher of Prague, he was kind of a puppet to Himmler, and one of the architects of the Holocaust. There is no way in this timeline he would stop his hatred of minorities and the love of his ideology and party.
Honestly I am happy that the TNO devs are reworking his path because I think it's going to be a better experience in terms of narrative and gameplay.
I mean, he didn't stop any of that. He simply realized how insane burgundy, and by association the reich was to nuke literally the world. He didn't fix anything, he just killed himself.
