- Helped out Johnsons Hot Rod Shop with their build video for the debut of Mekenzie Murphys 32 Roadster at the Grand National Roadster Show competing for Americas Most Beautiful Roadster.
Good Luck to @greasemonkeyprincess3449 at the Roadster Show.
Special thanks to Jessica at Johnsons Hotrod for all the help shooting the video, and for the build pics
filmed with @FujifilmUSACameras XH2s
Fantastic Roadster. Love the wheel choice. Prime example of less is more. Good luck!
Hey thanks for the kind words and we are all wishing her best of luck today.
The wheels are custom machined and really need to be seen in person.
Thanks for taking the time to watch, and comment
Absolutely loved this roadster, and McKenzie is such a sweetheart.
Yup a killer roadster and a killer lady. Can’t wait to see her out cruising it.
Thanks for watching and commenting
@@NotStockPhoto absolutely I’ve seen you around the shows and your work is awesome! Maybe one day you will catch my build when it’s finished!
@RanasRadar hey thanks for the kind words some great craftsmen work really hard to make me look good 😂
I’m sure we will cross paths a bunch, and look forward to seeing your project finished.
Beautiful’32. All the very best with scooping some top awards girl. One cooool car😎👌
Yea it’s pretty awesome can’t wait to see it out cruising in the sun. Looks pretty awesome on the bottom side as well.
Thanks for taking the time to watch
Love it! Especially the Wade Hughes n Josh Shaw Ohio style flames……… definitely a unique one of a kind 32….
Yes sir Josh Shaw is the one laying down the flames in the video great eye
Stunning '32!!! No reason to think she won't scoop up all the gold with this one! As always, love your camera work, John!
Thanks my man really appreciate the kind words and for taking the time to watch.
It’s a tough crowd this year competing for AMBR we all have our 🤞 for her
Wonderland 🇺🇲🇺🇲 Beautiful world..❤
Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed🙏
Sweet ride, I kind of like the drone shots. Thanks for posting!
Thanks Tim this is a really cool car it was a fun project.
Thanks for watching
Beautiful car! You nailed it with the stance and the old school looks. I hope to see it in one of the NorCal events such as GoodGuys and Sacramento Autorama☕️☕️☕️
I had nothing to do with it other than photographing and videoing it…….I probably would have screwed something up on it 😂
Luckily Johnsons HotRods knows hotrods
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. 🙏
Amazing ride and it will get a lot of awards.
Yea @johnsonsHotRods always builds a killer HotRod I need to save up 😂
This is an awesome episode! More of this type of coverage please! Your skills are 2nd to none!
Hey thanks for the kind words we are going to try and have a ton of car feature content this year.
Thanks for watching
Another amazing shoot !! Looking forward to see how she does at the shows !! Love the build shots …
Well the build shots are all courtesy of our great friend Jessica Roach she always nails it, and couldn’t have put this together without her.
Thanks for the kind words and for watching
My favorite car amongst the AMBR contenders. I wouldn't have put a SBC in if it was mine, but for a trouble free driver, a SBC can't be beat.
Yea it’s a tough bunch of contenders this year. Since she plans to drive it a lot I think they wanted it to be as reliable, and easy to fix as possible.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment
Beautiful work great car
Johnson’s always kills it
Thanks for watching and the comment
Where this actually cought my attention was on a video by Mick Frankovich. Please don’t think I’m not liking your car…I think it’s stunning. The color and the use of black flames is awesome. It’s a beautiful car.
Not my car I just filmed this video for the display of the car at GNRS.
There are a ton of pics of it from the show online
Of the 12,080 roadsters built by Ford in 1932, only 500,000 survive today. All kidding aside, nice car, love the color.
Yea it’s almost as bad as two door 49/50 Mercurys 😂
Thanks for taking the time to watch it’s greatly appreciated
That's a sweet build . Good luck with car
Thanks my man and thanks for watching
Ooo! I like the asymmetrical flames! Everyone always mirrors them - which seems a little too "cut and paste".
Yea our good friend Josh Shaw really nailed the flames on this one he’s one of our favorites.
Thanks for watching
Sweet !
🙏
Beautiful car. Hope she can make it to GATR so I can see it. Good luck to her with AMBR.
Yea you definitely need to see this one in person to appreciate it the slightest bit flip of the pearl is awesome(you can kind of see it in the drone footage)
Johnsons definitely killed it as always.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
Great car and it is great to see young people build what they want. Hope she gets AMBR that would be sweet.
I know how cool is it that she wanted a 32 roadster for her first big girl car 👏 👏 👏.
Can’t wait to see her out enjoying it.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment
She didn't build $hit on this car! Daddy's money! Its is one of those things destroying the industry
You know what is destroying the industry is people putting younger people down for having these cars built and not supporting them. Yes, it may have been her parents' money or for what anyone knows it could have been hers. I don't personally know them. It's great she wanted a 32 instead of a Honda. Support younger people getting into the industry instead of letting it die with the older generation.
I’d rather see a great well built car that’s safe for her to enjoy than the majority of “Home Built” cars I see at shows.
Nothing says hey look I’m out of touch or that I’m old than complaining about someone else’s build………. Get over yourself no one voted you the lord of how cars should be done or who should do them…….. you old farts 💨 crack me up …….. how’d you even figure out how to type this out shouldn’t you be hand writing a letter to Alan Johnson, and dropping it in the mail😂 🤦♂️
Would love to see it at GATR this fall!
🤞
Cool stuff brother
Figured you’d like this one ……..Johnsons always builds a killer hotrod
Very nice 32!
Yes sir I don’t think @johnsons has ever built one I don’t love
Thanks for taking the time to watch
Can you bring that car to Salt Lake City Autorama and Chrome in the Dome Car Show in Idaho?
I would if they’d let me but it’s not mine you’ll have to hit up @GreaseMonkeyPrincess it’s her car.
I do know she’s excited to get it out this year
Cool drone footage, but I was REALLY hoping to see at least a peek of some sexy stills! 🙃
I can't afford a Rodder's Journal sub.
😂 this wasn’t for Rodders Journal this was for their AMBR display you can see several of the stills over on the Johnsons Hotrods Instagram and Facebook page.
We will have a more “me” video with this hotrod in the future.
Thanks for taking the time to watch even though I let you down 😂
Enjoyed the video of this beautiful car! However, it would’ve been nice to see some shots of the engine and interior after the car was completed, rather than all of the drone shots.
When we did the build video the car wasn’t completed but we’ve been working on all the pics of it for an upcoming magazine feature with tons of detail.
This was just a quickie video put together for their display stand at GNRS that mirrored the build book.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment
@@NotStockPhoto No worries, I understand. Thanks for letting me know. It’s a beautiful rod! 👍👍
Yea Johnson’s really killed it on this one, and this video could have been a hour long just in details………. But you know peoples attention spans these days 🤣
The best money can bye. I miss the old days when the owner built their own car's..
I’m sure she would have loved to but being 19 and a freshman in college kind of made it hard for her.
She is from a great hotrod family from Ohio who is from a group of Cincinnati hotrodders, and has been going to shows before she could walk.
Im glad she had Johnsons build the car because they always nail it.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment
@@NotStockPhoto how much did it cost to build? Probably more than my house.. So she's a little rich girl, I'm sure Daddy's money bought it. I miss the days when we built our own cars. Not pay someone else to.
.... Like Blackie Gejeian...
@LLDavis-qe8wb yea but look at it this way if people didn’t have the money to have a car built we’d miss out on some great automotive art created by amazing hotrod builders who couldn’t afford to build the car they are capable of.
I’m just happy a 19year old girl wants a 32 ford, and wants to share her love with other girls…….. we have enough teenagers posting porches and mclarens.
I’d rather someone pay a hotrod shop to build them an awesome car for us all to enjoy instead of them giving the money to a car dealer.
@@NotStockPhoto glad she can afford it. But money has made it impossible for the home builders to even have a chance. Same thing happened to lots of sports, why even try if you don't have hundreds of thousands to spend. That's why it's a dieing sport. Go to any event and all you see is old guys like me.
That car isn't going to be driven, that's what hot roding was all about like Blackies was.
...It's nothing more than a vanity project for a young girl...
@@LLDavis-qe8wb”she” can’t afford it. Her parents did it seems. I keep seeing posts about “her story” but I can’t find this story anywhere. The GMP social media pages have less than 10 posts a year. What is the big deal with this girl?
It looks good. But polished set of Halibrands would of set it off.
Yea polished halibrands are great, but when going for something like AMBR you want to run something that’s not on every other car there.
That’s why Johnsons custom machined these to keep your eyes drawn to the paint and polished parts, and not let a polished or chrome finish draw your eye down.
If it didn’t have the badass flames, and striping I’d be all for a polished wheel on it.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
Such a killer car! Love it!! @johnsonshotrods
Yea Johnsons always kills it, and couldn’t have made this video without their ace do it all Jessica Roach helping me with the bts photos.
We have our fingers crossed for them today.
Thanks for watching
What Engine & Trans Combination are You Running 🤔❓
It’s a 400 c.i Chevy by Automotive Specialist with a Bowler built 4L60E Trans
Nice, 👌 No disrespect, but I prefer a FORD 💙 Power plant in a FORD.
Flathead Ford, Y Block, or a FORD 302 😇 💙 My Uncle had a Bored & Stroked CHEVY 350 to 383 in His 20's Candy 🍬 Apple 🍎 Red FORD T Bucket
Crazy Fast Ride it was, & a Handful to Drive.
I also Love 💘 the Shade of Pink You chose. It reminds me of the Panther Pink that CHRYSLER offered in the Late 60's Early 70's 😊
@MichaelAguilar-vj2nr no worries everyone is entitled to their opinion and this car really rips as well
I loved this car when I first saw it at the grand national roaster show. I tried to watch this video, but I see that you were not bothered to tell us what was going on. I was unable to live through all that AI generated rock music.
Sorry it didn’t live up to your expectations this was a build video that was played on the monitor when you saw it at the Grand National Roadster show that’s why their isn’t a ton of narration other than the owner talking about her car.
If I would have made it without music people would have complained about that so I give you the option to turn the volume down or muting it.
Can’t please everyone, but I do appreciate you trying to watch it.
Have a great week
How did this car get shown at GNRS without cleaning the tires?!?!
They smoothed the tires before it went to GNRS not quite sure what you’re referring to.
A little tire dressing would make a world of difference. Just enough to make the tires dark black and add a a hint of shine.
@@edvitale the video was shot while the car was being built, and didn’t even have the rear spring in it yet.
Full completed after GNRS video coming this spring. This was just the build video for the display stand.
never seen a build where the owner is more featured than the car lol
She’s in the video less than a quarter of the video, and just does a intro/outro.
This video is part of the display at the show instead of a build book you have to flip through.
Most of my car videos feature a car owner or builder.
Thanks for taking the time to watch it’s greatly appreciated
What did that cost you💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵 reckon?!??
More than I can afford 😂
Sorry, pink. No.
To each their own, and this is what the young lady who owns it wanted…….so it’s perfect.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to watch the video, and enjoy the craftsmanship.
I agree! It ruins the whole car! Why builders do this shit ill never understand!!! So things i just will not do for customers no matter 5he money.
Truly, promo means more than result,,,hot pink is not it..all that work, and ?????
It’s the color the owner wanted because it’s her color, and didn’t want just another black or red 32 roadster……..to each their own.
Thanks for taking the time to watch, and comment
Very nice car except the color and the wheels
That’s the cool thing with hotrods is that you can build yours the way you want it, and other people can come up and tell you what’s wrong with it.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment 🙏
I agree that it looks great except for the color and the wheels. The wheels disappear
😎 thanks for the styling advise I’ll pass it along I’m sure they will appreciate the insight
