Ah, boats!! This reminds me of when my wife and I decided we HAD to have a boat. Two nice lakes and a river nearby, we were in. Bought a nice used boat, took the boat to the lake for the very first time; backed it down the ramp PERFECTLY, I humbly add...and looked in horror...through the rearview mirror of my pickup only to see our picnic coolers floating out of the boat. Yes, we had failed to put in the drain plug. And of course, it was the busiest day of the summer at the boat ramps. Rookies!!
Loving the free boat! One thing about boats, when they sit, they suffer. Once you start to run and use them is when they thrive. I got a $1,000 25’er (very similar to yours) that was left for dead. Got it fixed up and it ran and performed awesome!
