    We have a similar set-up on a smaller scale. It does give much peace of mind. You probably already know this, but in case someone that doesn't reads this comment, make sure you use your power units a couple of times a year, even if you don't have to, so that you don't lose the batteries. I heard this from someone that lost 2 batteries simply from lack of use. Give yourself a check mark. :-)

    Im car camping the last 8 years. I built a solar board and attached it to the roof. I have a 3600W power station inside, and a dual fuel generator on the tongue of my 5x7 cargo trailer, where I have a small fridge and freezer. And I have starlink, so I can go wherever I want and still have internet and phone.

    Good information. Thanks Billy. I also suggest everyone that has a well purchase a hand pump and have it installed in addition to your electric pump.

    Combine that with a generator and that's the best combination ever I did that when hurricane milton hit us and I saved a ton in fuel as well as I didn't have to listen to a noisy generator all day since I was running on solar during the day

    Billy, for the price if somebody doesn't want to get into the minutiae of solar and battery powered systems is probably okay, however you can build a larger system for the same price if one wants to just do a little research.
    The portability is a nice Factor.

    I was just checking unit out for incredible black friday deals at costco or amazon - one thing to know - the F3800 won't charge by any port at the same time it's delivering power outbound. That might be a deal breaker for me, but still, this is a really cool system with the 240V

    Ty for the video. When you plugged in your unit outside, what did you plug it into inside? I bought a Ecoflow early in hurricane season because I'm in hurricane central. Didn't have to use but was going to use extension cords to appliances. ???

    • @PermaPasturesFarm21

      I haven’t wired into the panel.

    • @fredkee9294
      @fredkee9294 3 дні тому

      Typically a generator input is wired into the panel thru a lockout. You have to turn the main breaker off to turn on the breakers from the generator. This prevents backfeeding powerlines and is a mandatory safety requirement.
      If you really know what you are doing, there are other ways that work, but can also be dangerous. Billy knows what he is doing, and he isn't showing that method.

    Billy, is there a way to take 2 separate power stations at 120 and take extension cords to a box and create 240 v ???
    Can afford another 1040w 120 but cannot afford a dedicated 240v.
    Thx

    • @PermaPasturesFarm21

      3/4 horse power

      If they are built for it, many brands of boxes can be connected in parallel. The critical part is the phase of each need to be in sync.
