Thank you! While I was watching this i remembered I found a cable that splits the MIC and Headphone plug up so it can go into the separate jacks. I appreciate you taking the time to make this video.
Very informative. Thanks. I have a question if you allow. I have a headset that has 2 TRS jacks, and my laptop has only one 3.5mm input port, so I assume that it is a TRRS input. The problem is: when I insert the TRS audio cord in it, it works just fine, but when I unplug it and insets the TRS microphone cord in it, it will still work, but I will hear a very loud buzzing sound from it. Do you think a (1 TRRS male to 2 TRS female splitter) will help me? P.S: I have checked my headset on my older laptop that has 2 TRS input, and it worked just fine with no issue.
thank you for your explanation. I was wondering why my apple ear buds did not work, i could not hear anything. I have one of those, one side is the lightning cable to charge my phone and the other side is 3.5 mm for headphones, so i thought it was going to work, but it didn't. So do you suggest i get one of those dongle? I had one but lost it.
hi, great video thank you for your information, i have to extend a mic in a radio as the internal mic has broken, which wires would i to solder to the board if i used a trrs type cabled microphone please,
help i have mic with trrs 3.5 mm and headphone trrs 3.5 mm my laptop has 1 trrs female for headphne and mic so im using splitter which male is trrs and 2 female but idk the port type when i use it mic does not work why? does mic female splitter support trs only? or splitter does not work
I want to buy a microphone which has trrs connection. I noticed that my laptop's headphones and mic(old mic) work perfectly (headphones - trrs and mic - trs). So while buying my new mic, should I buy a trrs to trs converter since the mic has a trrs connection and I am not sure if trrs mic works in my laptop? Thanks for the video though
The source of the problem can be various. *If your computer has headphone and audio jack on the front and back, try both jacks. *If you are using Windows 10, you can try changing the Realtek Audio Console Program settings. (Can be downloaded from the Windows store). *Make sure the microphone is turned on of course. *There may be problems with your sound card These are what I can say for now..
