I get cucumbers added at subway and Jimmy John's
7:32 every subway and most sandwich places offer cucumber. Ive had it on sandwiches my entire life. I think you just had a really judgemental employee experience. Cucumber is totally normal.
Aiden looking very NASCAR today 🫡
I'm 40 years old and I've been getting cucumbers on my sandwiches my entire life. My dad is 64, and he's been getting cucumbers on his sandwiches since forever. Not sure what sort of parallel dimension version of America you were living in, but we've had cucumbers on sandwiches for at least 100 years.
Cucumber is in every sandwich shop in all parts of America.😂 And is commonly used cut it out.
Buc-ees is a giant highway rest stop. Wawa is more like the suburban version of a bodega or corner shop. It's a reliable place for coffee, sandwiches, and snacks. They're all over the east coast now and expanding to other areas. People in New Jersey love to complain and say "it used to be so much better," but in places that are just getting Wawas, people love them. The funny thing is, the Jolly guys barely scratched the surface on the choices. Americans love choice. Yes, 20 years ago cucumber on a sandwich might have been seen as unusual, but Gaynor will be happy to know that the Wawa touchscreens will let you add cucumber to practically anything.
Wawa is originally a dairy farm that had milk men deliver milk to people's homes. Around 50 years ago, they moved into the convenience store model as the home milk delivery began to go away. They went into competition with Cumberland Farms (and won). They developed a delicatessen into their stores, making sandwiches, hot dogs, soups and chili. They offered coffees, teas, etc. They then moved into gas stations. I would not consider what they sell there "gas station" food. It's more like deli food. They just entered into the pizza making business, which I will not support, favoring several small business pizzerias nearby.
I’m from Philly and Wawa is life!
Rawnch 😅😅 plenty of us eat cucumber on our sandwiches. I’ll be 56 in a few months and I have my entire life and mom who is 86 always has.
Subway has had cucumbers on sandwiches forever.
Wawa sells more coffee than anything. They also sponsor Wawa welcomes America, 4th of July celebrations in Philly, with a concert and fireworks.
Wawa is Ojibwe for "goose."
Got to have me a Wawa's love the Thanksgiving sandwich with Turkey, stuffing ,gravy and cranberry sauce. Yummy.
They got the wrong things in wawa no cheeseburger and no pizza or other stuff but the meatball sub is good
Wawa is good at 3am, hammered. That Wawa is in Jersey but there’s a Wawa everywhere in Philly but never go in there hungry because you’ll walk the isles for an hour & end up buying just a piece of candy! 😂
Their Mac & cheese is the grossest thing ever!
*aisles
Yeah, places like this you really need to know what is good and what isn't. Their menu is too big.
Ugh thank you 😩
I need to proof read before I hit send!
@willvr4
Wawa is overrated (I might lose my Philly card) 😂
@@lovesgucci1 Sheetz is better
That’s considered a meatball sandwich.
That's what meatballs look like when you bite into them
Wawa stores have doubled in size in last 15 years Wawa goes from ny to Miami
Most service stations in the US serve food. And it's pretty good because of the competition.
Cucumber on a tuna hoagie is great
Also pickles are actually cucumber
Who doesnt know pickles are cucumbers hahaha
Did you know raisins are actually grapes?
Europeans have been conditioned to believe you can have too many choices. Quite the opposite in America.
I love the Wawa ice coffee but I do put a lot of cream and sugar on it. Anyway, I live in NJ and I would have never considered comparing Wawa to Buc-ee's. I think QuickChek is a better comparison from my perspective.
They have another page called English gentleman, they do food with high school kids you should react to that also there great.
I loved when they took the 7 to Korea and I’m glad they’re doing the new series with 6 of them back in Korea again.
Where did your parents used to live in NJ? NNJ by NYC not get a WaWa until maybe 2010s.
They're in neighborhoods..ive.gone to one just to get lunch. You go there for.coffee.its cheaper than dunkin or Starbucks there's always a variety ams it tastes better
Trying to figure out what Wawa they are at. Might be in a Central NJ location judging by the big Rutgers University 'R' hanging in the background. Then again I think Rutgers has a school in Camden too.
In college (in the 90's) I dated a girl from Spotswood (exit 8a)and there were no Wawas up there at the time.
You don't have cucumbers on an Italian sandwich
There’s about 20-30 Wawas in Orlando Florida. Almost all new.
The name says it all Filthadelphia as us locals call it
Everything bagel is just the type of bagel bread 😆
You lived in New Jersey???? I live in New Jersey!!!!! 😉
We did! Aidan was born there. Where are you?
Screw Disneyland, Wawa is the most magical place on Earth!
👍👍
All a Hoagie is, is a different name for a sub sandwich. Different parts of the country just call it something different. Hoagie in that area, one area calls them Grinders, and others call them subs. Looks like you skipped the ad they had in this video. It was hilarious. Ollie dunked himself in an ice bath and was trying through the ad. You would have had a good laugh about it.
In Philly a grinder is a hoagie of any kind that is toasted in the oven
@@charlesnichols4689 In thought you only find grinders in strip clubs?
That story about cucumber sounds like bullshit, because cucumber as a sandwich ingredient has never been unusual in America.
On tuna is great
I've never had cucumber on a sandwich. Pickles, yes. Maybe I'm missing out?
Many places in America that make sandwiches have cucumber as an option (subway for example). I don't know many people that put them on sandwiches had home but you can definitely get it at restaurants
Subway offers cucumbers on their sub sandwiches and that brand started in the states. Its a big thing here.
@@momD612you are missing out, it’s great! I use fresh from my garden.
Sheetz has entered the chat......
I miss their jalapeno poppers...
Wawa has good subs. Not sure about the rest
I just get a personal pan pizza at a cenex.
Forget us being offended for supposedly not knowing what cucumbers are for a second.. let's have a good fight with all the Northeast people... Ive been to 4 Wawas and 3 Sheetz in 3 different states.
Sheetz absolutely MOGS Wawa. Pittsburgh side bros how we feelin?
Philly side people.. how can you ever recover from such a fact?
Hoagie = Philly
Hero = NYC
No Hero = Japan. Master of time and space. Hiro Nakamura
New England = Grinder.
@@michaellewis09 WTF???
@@firebird7479 hero the TV show with Hiro Nakamura from Japan
And if you just say "Sub sandwich" everyone will understand what you're saying. But I'm from NY, so it's Hero for me.
Wawa is nothing like Bucees. It's way smaller
Wtf Aidan!!! No hoodie today???
Ready for the Manchester City game. That’s his shirt!
He decided to play a bike messenger, I guess.
They're in Pennsylvania unless it's made by the Amish the food there isn't great. They should have driven 20 min and went to a wawa In jersey. They need adult supervision
Did you mean that you wanted "Pickle
No, I wanted Ham tomato lettuce and cucumber on a roll with mayonnaise. He looked at me and said CUCUMBER 🥒 like it was strange to put on a sandwich.
Kwik Trip would destroy wawa
All wawa's have a gas station
Many don’t have gas. Don’t write if you don’t know facts.
Everyone that I've been too do have gas. So tell me where are the ones without a gas station
Don't write if I don't know the facts...as if you're a genius. Haha
@@catherinesearles1194As someone who's lived both in PA and NJ aka where Wawa started there are a Lot of smaller stores that are basically Wava's version of 711 and many don't have Gas Stations.
However the newer Locations and Most out of state I.E the NJ,PA and NY area are mostly Gas Station ones for example now I live in Florida and the only 2 around here are both Gas Station ones so it depends on where you live mostly.
@@catherinesearles1194So ya don't be mean you don't actually know the facts like us and the lady in the video who lived in NJ so like me she knows about Wawa.
I went to college in PA, but for some reason we didn't have any Wawa's near us. I guess because I was a good 2 hrs away from Jersey. We DID however have something very similar called "Sheetz" and their fresh to made section was pretty damn good. Their buffalo chicken sandwich and jalapeno poppers were my go-to.
One of the few places that uses cream cheese instead of cheddar in their poppers, and I kind of prefer it that way especially since they were bite sized.
Quicktrip clears WaWa!
No it doesn’t, Wawa has better food than QT. I know both well. QT just got that in house kitchen several years ago and it still doesn’t do food that well. Wawa subs are on the level of Publix or Firehouse Subs. QT isn’t touching that.
@@jeremiah_12 vehemently disagree. And that’s ok, m8
Sheetz does that computer ordering crap too. Its so inconvenient and unnecessary.
