I love the fact that it's actually a part of existing lore. One of the legends mentioned in Diamond and Pearl(IIRC), even before BDSP, mention a Pokemon in a field of flowers that suddenly bloomed when someone came to present their gratitude.

For Arceus you don’t need to obtain Phione, Manaphy, Shayman nor Darkrai, only Pokemon 1-237 Phione and Manaphy might be available to everyone but the clue to get them is in BDSP
The money guide video is a good call. The bandit locations guide, what items you can get from Ursaluna, and possibly what is the best thing to farm from the farm.
why do you need a money guide? just go to the first world, catch 50+ mons in regular ass pokeballs and you get so much money like...? it's not difficult

Something funny happened when I went to go to Darkrai. I flew other there with Braviary and just dropped out of the air (I was trying to do the cool "leap of faith"). I don't call Braviary in time and I fall, getting the max amount of fall damage and hearing the blackout sound cue. However, since I was still within the cutscene trigger when I landed, it still played as normal and I didn't black out.
Austin, you've put out like 40 vids in the like 3 weeks it's been since PLA has come out and they're all amazing quality (watched every one of em) and have helped me a huge amount going through the game. I don't know if there's much more you haven't covered for PLA. But whatever you make next I'll be here for it =)
Darkrai was such a pain to catch cause he kept teleporting or put me to sleep but I eventually caught it and was so happy same for shaymin I was like “Omg hiiii” cause I never had a shaymin or a darkrai before. Kinda sad newmoon island and iron island aren’t accessible locations.
I’m at 80+ hours and just finished the credits part of the game. These guides like catching the flying Togekiss (which became one of my semi-permanent team members), the rare mons and alphas guides have been really helpful and it’s been so much fun I’ve been dragging the pace with the main story just so I can play the game as long as possible. Hoping a DLC will be announced on Pokémon day. Thanks for these helpful videos. They definitely made the journey a whole lot more enjoyable!
If Nintendo detects that your game copy has a problem with it loading up, the game will not even start working again until the problem is resolved. MAYBE they factor in how much the player used the internet to progress in the game. Particularly probably using their own information about the game too much that it is out of the terms and conditions that the game progress is bound to. It should not affect players much though, since the general information is purposely made available for anyone to view. I think that almost all the information that I was findkng back in the day would not get me banned from playing the game, exincluding select few infotmation that I am both even sure how I found in the first place. They are probably very particular who can play this game, and who is actually able to play the game. There was some scripts that showed up on my brother's copy of the game that emphasized the importance the person being aware of some of items that the pokemon company made. I found clear emphasis on Nintendo blocking you from playing the game if you buy the official steel book from the company, or somewhere else online; and do not pick up the item; you will be blocked from playing the game if that is the reason why you are blocked from playing the game.
it took you 80+ hours to get to the credtis ? I'm at about 55 hours but I finished the credits a while back + I did like 90% of the requests, Now I'm just figuring out on how to get all the pokémon and I noticed these 2 requests were missing but the last Pokémon game I had was Black and White like a decade ago

@@Nronelove Seriously? I had an easier time with Darkrai than with Dialga or Palkia. I found Dialga was easily defeated as was my other team members, where as a two lucky Dark Voids and two Hex per match was OHKO.

There's clouded islands on the side 3 of them. The same clouds that covered the portions of the map before you unlocked them. So there may be at least 3 dlc. However we could see more since Arceus blew the original estimates out the water they may release one earlier then they planned and make a whole new one. Idk just my theory
Your strategy to catch Darkrai was ingenious. After being unable to engage it in battle by throwing my Pokemon at it I followed your stealth, back strike method. Caught it with a regular Poke Ball in one go! Thank you, Austin.

I am a visually impaired player and have been having difficulty with shining pearl and legends RCS I was wondering if you could make a video in hopes that Nintendo will finally add some accessibility options. At least at least to make the text bigger or invert the colors of text boxes. I hope this comment reaches you and your videos have helped me a lot!
If you just need text to be bigger go to settings and turn on the zoom feature. This makes it that when you press the home button 2 times you can make the screen bigger. It’s really neat also if you want to go back to normal just hit the button twice again. I really hope that this helped you

Right now I’m right now I am using my screen reader called Seeing AI on my phone but having to pull up that app for every text box in Pokémon is very tedious.

It’s pretty easy to get Giratina tbh. You can battle him just by getting the rest of the plates and battling Volo (which is the first to technically be a ‘vs 7 Pokémon’ battle.) For those who don’t know, it’s in the Turnaway Cave, which is in the coastlands.
Austin, you know if you’re trying to show off a Pokémon after throwing it outta their pokeball, like you did with shaymin, just look at them and hold ZL. It zooms the camera in and also removes the HUD. Great way to take clean photos. Can do that anywhere actually. Just hold ZL.
My video request is about tips for perfect pokedex entries for each family of pokemon. As I'm doing it I'm finding that there are different tricks that make perfecting each family of mons super super easy.
For those who can't figure out why the sky form won't work it requires clear weather during the daytime as the name implies. Took me a few different tries to get it.

Austin! While in battle, you can press X to switch to balls, and throw them with ZR just like in the open world. This way you don't have to go into yur menu all the time.

Hi Austin, did you know you can get Rotum to evolve? You need to get the future appliances frm the guild guys and then when u interact with the washing machines etc u can choose a rotom to interact with it and it will evolve! Please do a video on this for everyone!
It would be amazing to have tutorials for fighting the Noble Pokemon. I know it's possible to beat them without throwing out your pokemon, but it's difficult to do when you forget which controls are which in regards to dodging and crouching.
Its definitely possible. I beat every single noble pokemon AND Arceus without using my pokemon to battle. They're really easy and if memorizing controls is a problem then don't fight them yet until you get the hang of controls.
Edit: I wouldn't mind a money guide. You mentioned just catch pokemon. It would be cool to see the breakdown of how it calculates what you catch n how much it gives you so I can exploit that. Man never quits. I'm gonna be using the weather quad one soon. But these guys I managed to just accidentally find as I was doing side quests and avoiding main quests. So cool.

@@matthewwilliams8267 Plus BDSP are 'faithful remakes' and the original Diamond and Pearl never got these two as events, Patinum did. Going off how the company that made BDSP did a little too well making the story basically 1:1, I do not have high hopes. It'd also be ironic since Darkrai's quest in Legends requires BDSP to even be available but you likely will never be able to obtain him in BDSP itself.
So, if this helps anyone how I caught Darkrai you need to make it teleport, get super close to the little void it pops out of and you need perfect timing and using poke-balls like Heavy balls, Ultra balls, etc and as SOON as you see him come out throw it instantaneously then BOOM, you got it!
I really wish they had more character driven stories for postgame. For shaymin to appear randomly in some forest for a random girl…. It could be a random zigzagoon, that could guide her to safety. I also found it strange that the real ending is put into post credits gameplay.
Mine was being stubborn to catch. Also didn’t know if you accidentally knock it out or it runs away, it will reappear after visiting jubilife village and coming back to the flower patch. Just fyi for those who don’t know
I practically fell straight onto Darkrai while following the wisp hunting guide. He was a bit of a pushover once I got over my surprise - dodge a couple attacks, miraculously managed to throw my Pokemon out, and was able to get three turns in a row by using Agile Style Aqua Jet using my (honestly overleveled) Floatzel, and he stayed in the ball first try. Shaymin was... not as nice. Mostly thanks to the surrounding Beautifly, honestly. Plus I kept having trouble with losing track of where it was.

Something to note: if you want to turn Shaymin back to the other form, you have to put it in the pasture. I feel like the Shaymin quest is GameFreak saying "Thank you!" to the player.
With darkrai his mechanic is gard to notice but its when he pops out of his portal you cant throw anything at him head on, instead you have to quickly run behind him before he creates his aura where your free to hit him in the back with whatever you want
Really wish there was a way for those of us who can't afford every single Pokemon game to get these guys. Hoping maybe they'll be released as an event Pokemon later on, with the early access from launch day being the benefit given to players who bought the earlier games, rather than exclusive access, the way it is now. I completed a living pokedex in this game using all the Pokemon available to me, and while it looks cool, it doesn't truly feel complete without these two Pokemon in it.
Unfortunately, the only friend on my Nintendo account is my spouse, and he's in the same situation as me. I don't know of any game rental stores in our area, either. There may be online game rental options, but again, we're pretty broke, so not looking to spend more money just to get two extra Pokemon. I'm just saying I'm pretty sure we're not the only people in this situation, so it'd be cool if at some point - even a year down the line - the devs made all of this game's content available to everyone who purchased it, without needing outside purchases to access parts of it.

I only found this channel because of legends arceus but honestly you're a lot of fun to watch. My idea for content would be a playthrough starting from gen 1 and going in canonical order from start to finish of the pokemon series. Doing it in the order it happened in the Canon would allow for interesting facts and tidbits along the way that pokemon fans have learned from the lore and series etc allowing us to understand the hidden secrets and references from the games.
The fact that they can tell if you got save data from other Pokémon games, makes the inability to trade between the two same generation games if you save files for both on your console even more of an oversight for the Switch generation games, I mean if you’ve gone out of the way to pay for essentially the same game twice, even if they just restrict the trades to game exclusives and trade evo’s, it would mean at least players who want to play fully single player can compete their dex’s without forking out for a second console...
My first game was platinum and that was my childhood. I missed the oaks letter event so I obviously used an AR to get the event :’)! It was just for me to use because I was so enamored by Shaymin since the movie! Shaymin is one of my top three favorite pokemon of all time! We stan the watermelon 🍉 grateful hedgie 💚
One problem I found is trying to get manaphy,I did the event to get to them but my Pokemon fainted so I had to leave the cave and heal and buy PokeBalls (no materials at the time) went back and they both poks never showed up again
I hope the DLC for this game is austin john falling through a wormhole and ending up in the hisui region, and we all have to help him get back to present day
Just did my own experiment with this. You only need a save file from sword or shield and diamond or pearl. I say this because I have heard many different theories about needing to have completed game files of sw/sh and bd/sp. all you need is a save file, just load up the game get to a point that you can save and make a quick save file that’s it
If I had to suggest something for content, honestly just videos of you enjoying the game! You have thoroughly gone through a lot of the content of this game and this journey has been a fun one. Wherever you decide to go from now on will be awesome. Great!
If you have Pokémon sword, or shield, you are able to unlock the shaymin quest. But if you have brilliant diamond or shining Pearl you unlock the darkrai quest. I know this since I own sword , and not the others.
There's an important note for Shaymin. If it keeps breaking out of your pokeballs, it might have a chance of running away. If that happens, all you need to do is reset the map. I had that happen to me since it broke out of 10 ultra balls, and was worried for a bit about if Shaymin would respawn.

I managed to battle Darkrai by throwing out my Pokémon at about the same time it popped up. It led to a weird visual glitch where Darkrai was completely blacked-out during the fight. No idea if it would’ve worn off by breaking out of a ball because I caught it in the first Ultra Ball. I actually kinda wish it was like that normally. It’s kinda cool to think of it as this ominous, incomprehensible being that can only be identified by catching it.
I just saw darkrai chilling when I went to complete pokedex, I didn't mean to catch it, but I just threw one jet ball and got him. (I saw the cutscene, but I ran from it the first time)
It's great that Darkrai and Shaymin are available via another game's save data, but I don't see why they didn't do this for BDSP too. Like, they could have made it so if you have caught Darkrai and Shaymin in PLA, you can access the events for them in BDSP, similar to how to obtain Arceus in those games.
Can you make a guide on using scatter bangs? I am trying to do a Perfect Pokédex and can’t seem to figure them out on any of the Pokémon that need to be scared away from this method 👿
A money guide isn't a bad idea as I was pretty broke most of my playthrough. End game I have more than enough money for everything I need minus the extortion slots lol
if you replay the game and you placed them in pokemon home. Dont place them back in your new savefile because you wont get that quest then. Atleast that happend for me with shaymin
Idk if they changed it but I was able to throw my dialga at it and I was able to catch it on my first pokeball throw. I wouldn’t be surprised if they updated it to make it easier
I actually decided to get every Pokemon I could before completing the final missions of the post game. All I have left are the forces of nature, Giratina, and Arceus who I want to save for last for the extra cool factor.
Uh... hate to break it to you, but it wouldn't matter if you wanted to save Arceus for last if those five are still ones you need. Those five are required for Arceus to be obtainable, so he's stuck being last regardless.

Well this is the past so maybe the locations you catch Darkrai and Shaymin become those corresponding places in the present games?

There is DLC for Legends Arceus, it's called Daybreak. No purchase necessary, it's just via version update.

Dialga without grit investment is easy fodder. If you invested in It it will tank the fight easily

Somewhere said Sticky is 2x as strong as the others I think

So you can only get him after beating the game. Thats dissapointing I really wanted to just use Darkrai on my team for the main game.
It’s pretty easy to get Giratina tbh. You can battle him just by getting the rest of the plates and battling Volo (which is the first to technically be a ‘vs 7 Pokémon’ battle.)
For those who don’t know, it’s in the Turnaway Cave, which is in the coastlands.

Austin, you know if you’re trying to show off a Pokémon after throwing it outta their pokeball, like you did with shaymin, just look at them and hold ZL. It zooms the camera in and also removes the HUD. Great way to take clean photos. Can do that anywhere actually. Just hold ZL.
There's also an option in the settings to turn off HUD by clicking the right stick.

My video request is about tips for perfect pokedex entries for each family of pokemon. As I'm doing it I'm finding that there are different tricks that make perfecting each family of mons super super easy.
For those who can't figure out why the sky form won't work it requires clear weather during the daytime as the name implies. Took me a few different tries to get it.
Definitely looking forward to when Darkrai and Shaymin will be available in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. My guess is they’ll start early to mid March with the Manaphy event ending next week.
I snuck up on it, and then Gigaton ball from the rear behind it, And It worked!, only 1 ball used!

While in battle, you can press X to switch to balls, and throw them with ZR just like in the open world. This way you don't have to go into yur menu all the time.
I like going to the menu and taking a second to think about which ball I want the mon in.

Hi Austin, did you know you can get Rotum to evolve? You need to get the future appliances frm the guild guys and then when u interact with the washing machines etc u can choose a rotom to interact with it and it will evolve! Please do a video on this for everyone!
It doesn’t evolve it just changes forms.

It would be amazing to have tutorials for fighting the Noble Pokemon. I know it's possible to beat them without throwing out your pokemon, but it's difficult to do when you forget which controls are which in regards to dodging and crouching.
Its definitely possible. I beat every single noble pokemon AND Arceus without using my pokemon to battle. They're really easy and if memorizing controls is a problem then don't fight them yet until you get the hang of controls.

Edit: I wouldn't mind a money guide. You mentioned just catch pokemon. It would be cool to see the breakdown of how it calculates what you catch n how much it gives you so I can exploit that.

@@matthewwilliams8267 Plus BDSP are 'faithful remakes' and the original Diamond and Pearl never got these two as events, Patinum did. Going off how the company that made BDSP did a little too well making the story basically 1:1, I do not have high hopes. It'd also be ironic since Darkrai's quest in Legends requires BDSP to even be available but you likely will never be able to obtain him in BDSP itself.

So, if this helps anyone how I caught Darkrai you need to make it teleport, get super close to the little void it pops out of and you need perfect timing and using poke-balls like Heavy balls, Ultra balls, etc and as SOON as you see him come out throw it instantaneously then BOOM, you got it!
I really wish they had more character driven stories for postgame. For shaymin to appear randomly in some forest for a random girl…. It could be a random zigzagoon, that could guide her to safety.
I also found it strange that the real ending is put into post credits gameplay.

Mine was being stubborn to catch. Also didn’t know if you accidentally knock it out or it runs away, it will reappear after visiting jubilife village and coming back to the flower patch. Just fyi for those who don’t know
I practically fell straight onto Darkrai while following the wisp hunting guide. He was a bit of a pushover once I got over my surprise - dodge a couple attacks, miraculously managed to throw my Pokemon out, and was able to get three turns in a row by using Agile Style Aqua Jet using my (honestly overleveled) Floatzel, and he stayed in the ball first try. Shaymin was... not as nice. Mostly thanks to the surrounding Beautifly, honestly. Plus I kept having trouble with losing track of where it was.

Something to note: if you want to turn Shaymin back to the other form, you have to put it in the pasture.

For some reason my shaymin says it's incompatible with the gracidea so I can't even change its form if I want to
With darkrai his mechanic is gard to notice but its when he pops out of his portal you cant throw anything at him head on, instead you have to quickly run behind him before he creates his aura where your free to hit him in the back with whatever you want
Really wish there was a way for those of us who can't afford every single Pokemon game to get these guys. Hoping maybe they'll be released as an event Pokemon later on, with the early access from launch day being the benefit given to players who bought the earlier games, rather than exclusive access, the way it is now. I completed a living pokedex in this game using all the Pokemon available to me, and while it looks cool, it doesn't truly feel complete without these two Pokemon in it.
You would need to ask a friend if they own the other games, or just rent them.
Just ask someone to trade you them. I have a friend who has Darkrai and I'm pretty sure he'd just let me keep him.
Unfortunately, the only friend on my Nintendo account is my spouse, and he's in the same situation as me. I don't know of any game rental stores in our area, either. There may be online game rental options, but again, we're pretty broke, so not looking to spend more money just to get two extra Pokemon. I'm just saying I'm pretty sure we're not the only people in this situation, so it'd be cool if at some point - even a year down the line - the devs made all of this game's content available to everyone who purchased it, without needing outside purchases to access parts of it.

I ran into darkrai before the credits. I tried to catch him. Did not know you had to sneak up on him. Went back after credits and caught him.

2. Best mass outbreak shiny hunting guide (per pokémon - location, method, etc.)

I only found this channel because of legends arceus but honestly you're a lot of fun to watch. My idea for content would be a playthrough starting from gen 1 and going in canonical order from start to finish of the pokemon series. Doing it in the order it happened in the Canon would allow for interesting facts and tidbits along the way that pokemon fans have learned from the lore and series etc allowing us to understand the hidden secrets and references from the games.

The fact that they can tell if you got save data from other Pokémon games, makes the inability to trade between the two same generation games if you save files for both on your console even more of an oversight for the Switch generation games, I mean if you’ve gone out of the way to pay for essentially the same game twice, even if they just restrict the trades to game exclusives and trade evo’s, it would mean at least players who want to play fully single player can compete their dex’s without forking out for a second console...
My first game was platinum and that was my childhood. I missed the oaks letter event so I obviously used an AR to get the event :’)! It was just for me to use because I was so enamored by Shaymin since the movie! Shaymin is one of my top three favorite pokemon of all time! We stan the watermelon 🍉 grateful hedgie 💚
One problem I found is trying to get manaphy,I did the event to get to them but my Pokemon fainted so I had to leave the cave and heal and buy PokeBalls (no materials at the time) went back and they both poks never showed up again
I hope the DLC for this game is austin john falling through a wormhole and ending up in the hisui region, and we all have to help him get back to present day

Just did my own experiment with this. You only need a save file from sword or shield and diamond or pearl. I say this because I have heard many different theories about needing to have completed game files of sw/sh and bd/sp. all you need is a save file, just load up the game get to a point that you can save and make a quick save file that’s it

If you have Pokémon sword, or shield, you are able to unlock the shaymin quest. But if you have brilliant diamond or shining Pearl you unlock the darkrai quest. I know this since I own sword , and not the others.

There's an important note for Shaymin. If it keeps breaking out of your pokeballs, it might have a chance of running away. If that happens, all you need to do is reset the map. I had that happen to me since it broke out of 10 ultra balls, and was worried for a bit about if Shaymin would respawn.

I managed to battle Darkrai by throwing out my Pokémon at about the same time it popped up. It led to a weird visual glitch where Darkrai was completely blacked-out during the fight. No idea if it would’ve worn off by breaking out of a ball because I caught it in the first Ultra Ball. I actually kinda wish it was like that normally. It’s kinda cool to think of it as this ominous, incomprehensible being that can only be identified by catching it.
I just saw darkrai chilling when I went to complete pokedex, I didn't mean to catch it, but I just threw one jet ball and got him.
(I saw the cutscene, but I ran from it the first time)

It's great that Darkrai and Shaymin are available via another game's save data, but I don't see why they didn't do this for BDSP too. Like, they could have made it so if you have caught Darkrai and Shaymin in PLA, you can access the events for them in BDSP, similar to how to obtain Arceus in those games.

if you replay the game and you placed them in pokemon home. Dont place them back in your new savefile because you wont get that quest then. Atleast that happend for me with shaymin
Idk if they changed it but I was able to throw my dialga at it and I was able to catch it on my first pokeball throw. I wouldn’t be surprised if they updated it to make it easier

I actually decided to get every Pokemon I could before completing the final missions of the post game. All I have left are the forces of nature, Giratina, and Arceus who I want to save for last for the extra cool factor.
Uh... hate to break it to you, but it wouldn't matter if you wanted to save Arceus for last if those five are still ones you need. Those five are required for Arceus to be obtainable, so he's stuck being last regardless.
