wow thank you for this video. For the first time in a long while, I feel like I've received many very interesting recommendations I hadn't heard of before ! I love the way everybody explains the book they are recommending, they all seem to be lovely people !
thank you, I'm so happy you enjoyed the video and recs! I love hearing everyone's recommendations for the same reason, I'm always so excited to learn about books people love that I haven't heard of before
Love hearing all these rec ❤ thank you! As a former student in French lit, i'd recommend "The elegance of the Hedgehog" by Muriel Barbery! It's a story of friendship by an old lodger who secretly loves books and a teenager who struggle with her mental health. Very heartwarming ❤ read it several times during my life, and each time, i fell in love again❤
holy shit i got chills when isadora mentioned weetzie bat. seriously one of my favorite novels and absolutely no one ever mentions it!!! i literally wrote abt it in my college essays it's phenomenal
@emilymharper i have not yet! My list of books to read is getting so long but I do want to read more of her writing because wow, her writing style is so unique and I love it

Hi! Thank you for your lovely comment 🥰 What are your favourite books? I love to read Japanese translated fiction and am always looking for new recommendations. I hope you enjoy watching the videos :)
@emilymharper I appreciate your reply 😂 My recommendation is 《すべてがFになる》by Hiroshi Mori. I'm sure you'll love it 😊 There is also an English version available.
this video is so calming... what is the name of the background music? i see in your description it says Epidemic Sounds but is there a specific song or playlist? thank you :))
@@emilymharper I hope you'll like it! A family friend that's a librarian just put it in my hands one day and said "read it" and I have been changed ever since (possibly bc I have too many similarities with the mc 😅)
Something about this video, the green, the sheep's, the piano, the talking in the background, and the elite recommendation's, is so calming
so happy you found the video calming, I find the green very peaceful too :)
I am in awe at the simplicity of this video
It's rather refreshing to hear a communal sort of book recommendation by university students that's not classics-based. For that reason alone, 👍🙏💛
Every single person in this video is so beautiful
This was very cool video idea. Thanks Emily and all your friends for their recommendations! 📚 💖
Thank you! happy you enjoyed it
love this. watched it once for the recs, another time for the way people talk, and a third time for the fits and scenery. haha
