- This geometry video tutorial provides a basic introduction into circles. It explains how to calculate the area of a circle as well as the circumference of a circle. It also explains how to calculate the arc length of a sector as well as the area of a sector in a circle. it explains the difference between the radius, chord, and diameter of a circle. It mentions how to calculate the inscribed angle as well as the measure of the intercepted arc. It discusses how to calculate the area of the shaded region given a right triangle inscribed in a circle.

Hey guys, here's a cool study tip: watch these BEFORE the teacher's lesson. This is because, when you watch this before the lesson you get a nice idea of what's coming up and you will be less intimidated. You can also understand the teacher better since the teacher will probably be going at a faster pace whereas here, you can pause and process info. This is great for people who can't focus/understand stuff in class.
Truly agree, you can't just tell me pi is equal to 3.14, I need to know where that number comes from.
i do it bc we get a homework pass ifwe catch a mistake by the teacher
We got this lesson in our summer book while we didnt take it yet, they didnt teach it to us bcz the covid 19 while they needed to teach it for us, so im working on ur tip for watching it before school come back and review it for us
They don't tell us what they are going to teach us before they start to teach us
Heres another cool tip.
To know if you are dealing with any special right triangle:
Take the shortest leg (ex. =3)
Then square it. And divide by 2.
3²=9 --> 9/2 =4.5 (add and subtract 0.5 aka +-) 4.5 + 0.5 = 5 , 4.5 -0.5 = 4
Now you know youre dealling with a 3 4 5 triangle
Another example for sport.
7² = 49 --> 24.5 +- 0.5 --> 24 , 25
Triangle 7,24,25.
Who’s watching this the morning before a test??😭😭
Taking the SAT tmr

From Chemistry to Geometry this guy is a life saver
I learned more in a 18 minute video than a 1 hour and 30 minute double lesson

This Dude, not Only Uploads Science Videos, but he Uploads a Lot of Helpful Math Videos. What a Legend he is.
Watching these to study 💀💀💀
Me too breh💀
This is how you teach mathematics and how it's suppose to be broken down thank you so much wow!!!!
MR. Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for another incredible video/lecture on Circles in Geometry and the Basic Introduction to Areas, Circumference, Arclength, Inscribed Angles and Chords. All these topics are illustrated by diagrams/shapes and old fashion Formulas. The Formulas can also be derived using basic and Advanced Mathematics.
Hello! It might not reach you due to the overwhelming comments you receive throughout all your lecture videos, but I wanted to take the time and thank you for providing so many educational videos, you have no idea how much this is helping me, it will even help me get through college. This is not much, I know, but remember that you have helped so many, and without you, many wouldn't be where they wanted to be (in terms of careers and education) Don't ever stop making more videos!
Nice
I dont know why but im simping for his voice😩🖐️
shut up plz
…this is a math help video 💀
Whats the app u use to draw ??
microsoft paint
This would be a good review video from my students to remember the difference between all of the parts, and theorems regarding circles. Well Done!
What’s school do you teach at?
I saw that pythagorean triple from a mile away. great video. his explainations are very clear
thanks for this video, although it's fast paced i really appreciate it that you're not spoon feeding and that u made it really clear.
Im a visual learner, like i legit cannot understand if the teacher is just explaining it rapidly and stuff, and here, it really helped me out, im doing my final exam tomorrow and this was the only concept i didnt understand until now, i got to see it done, while explaining and examples , and i dont hear like "get it now? ok so now you try" its more like "ok we will do this together"
This is so explanatory
our teacher said...
diameter is a chord that passes through the center of a circle
That's true👍
Why am in 7th grade and need to learn more than this class teaches
Uhh your probably don’t. Depends on your country and hs/college plans.
Because you are either so smart, or probably cheated on your final exam last year and scored so high to sit in a course you'd take normally in 10th grade
Why are you watching this the night before your exam 🤦🏾
...because I wasn't paying attention at all in class 😭
Im sorry😭😭
Im still lost
Keep practicing.
💖
It’s important that you divide θ by 360° when calculating properties of a sector, not by 360 radians. Always include the degree sign to avoid confusion.
You’re my dad

Wha
3:26 wait wait, where did the m from mac come from???
the "m" in mAC means measure of the arc AC. This m is often used when writing the "measure of" angles, arcs, etc. For example, mAB is read as the "measure of arc AB". Or if you were talking about the measure of an angle, you would see something like this: mABD, read as the "measure of angle ABD".
Hope that helps :)
@@jaydonkurian2593 well explained
Awesome video! I learned a whole bunch of stuff
this is so cool.. I have an exam in a month this explained the topic that Im lacking in so well!!!!!
my exam is legit tomorrow 😭
on question 3 why bother with all that sector solving because we can immediately use the central angle theorem?
btw this is a genuine question,,
i dont know what i dont know ,,
if im ignorant then enlighten me pls
Thankyou sir
Good morning sir, please I have a correction to make at 17:21 625pie is 2057.7 and when you minus 336 from 2057.7 the answer is 1721.1
Thanks
are you resident obama daugther
Umm... how?! I just checked and 625pi does equal to about 1963.5, the thing is you probably typed 655pi which will be equal to 2057.7.
You're better than my STEM Math teacher .You're such a cool guy. Thank you very much .
I used these videos back in geometry freshmen year of high school to now studying for the GRE my junior year of college. I think I would be a failure without these videos
Honestly the person or people who made math is on another level
God bless you 😭 I wish you were my teacher!! Appreciate your work
you are the best
Congrat on 2 million
The area of the circle given in the example, isn't that the area of a sector? It's quite confusing.
im starting to think this guy iz a god

OMG😱😱YOU SAVED MY LIFE
I singed in under a different account and the adds every 3 seconds that last longer than the content make your site unusable. LIterally, it cuts you off mid-sentence and completely confuses the viewer. This is the worst learning experience ever and I'm not going to pay for another account. I can find this content elsewhere without so many ads.
youtube is getting wayyyy too comfortable with 2 adds that you can't skip EVERY 5 seconds 😑😒
When calculating the area of the hatched region at 14 minutes into the video, aren’t you forgetting to subtract out the area between the arc BC and the base of the triangle?
This is how you teach mathematics and how it's suppose to be broken down thank you so much wow!!!!
I’m just confused on why this is in my recommended

Nice explaination now my depression has decreaced
I'm a 5th grader
Why are we learning this at 5th grade we should learn this on 6th grade man
But this helped me understood the lesson

day of state testing for math because my geometry teacher didn’t get around to circles before the state test, hoping i can figure it out 😭
How’d it go
at 7:17 you put that the circumference is pi times the dimeter. but the circumference formula is 2times pi times r
And what is D? 2r. The are both correct.

I appreciate you so much
in 8:02 why did you write cm^2 and not cm only? we did that for the circumference, so why not the area? is it because the formula has a ^2?
I had the same problem as you but remembered that rarely anyone presents an area in a straight line but in a square. That's why, cm²
Thanks for another great lesson!!
In 8:06 why does the radius aka 4 have to be in brackets can't you just have it as 4² and if not then why?
You are supposed to use brackets as an indication of multiplying, or bodmas
Hirap nmn.
it really tought me more
what is fata?
Salamat at dahil sayo mas nalaman ko na mahirap pla talaga ang math kund wla ka alam sa solving

on 8:56, why'd u write 2piR not 2piR^2?
I'm late but review the difference between the formula for the area and the circumference of a circle. The circumference is 2piR and the area is piR^2
Thanks sir
sir thank u soooooooo much

At 9:30 you could've just said
"Multiply the percentage the angle occupies in a 360 degree circle, with a circumference of 43.96."
150 Degrees is 41.6% of a 360 Degree Circle that has a Circumference of 43.96.
Multiply .416 by the circumference 43.96
BOOM
You get an Arc of 18.28736
Round.
