Is it just me or does she have the most viral things in her movies like for example “please I’m a star” and also “why are you leaving me if I didn’t do anything wrong I don’t understand” she’s the best
Its criminal that she didn’t win an Oscar for this role. Seriously some of the best acting I’ve ever seen. I nvr had 1 sec during either movies where i thought to myself “that seemed kinda out of character”. She killed these roles
This movie was like the Joker (2019) of women. The pain, insecurity, failure, regression, poverty & the realisation of being nothing in a world of privileged people was so beautifully said here. Mia did deliver a 100. Easily one of the best movies of this decade ❤
@@vismayavijoy4818 I'm wearing her overalls outfit with the white ribbons bc I can't find any vintage red dresses in my size 😭 the struggle of being a 4'10 teenager
this scene hits hard for me because i never handled rejections (of really any kind) well... and it was quite embarrassing to see my peers handle it 'well' in a quiet hurt kind of way while i'm loud and obnoxious about it kinda like her in this scene. and it took me years of therapy and self-reflection to realize rejection is not something to get so worked up over but actually a way of life for practically everyone and at some point you'll run out of tears to cry over every rejection. life goes on, so should you. also, ill admit if i never gotten rejected at key points of my life, then what i have now would likely never come.
This scene brings to light the dreams collapsing, the people uncaring and the premeditated system. Truly a conspicuous disillusionment. You can’t reap what you sow regardless. Jurors are staying put, they simply don’t care despite the wonderful performance she exhibited. ❤
@@Gabarooniee I finally watched it and I kinda feel the same way. I wish we knew more about Pearl's childhood and other bits of her back story. The main issue we know about is her killing small animals, but we gotta remember how getting married young and having your spouse leave you for war and you never knowing if they're coming back can affect you, and then her having to help care for the farm and her father in the condition he was in can be so mentally and emotionally draining and all she truly wanted to do was dance and be in the pictures and her mother made her feel like she was never going to be able to. Her mother could have AT LEAST let her dance around and be herself in that way instead of making her feel bad for it. I really hope they make another movie more about her back story or what all happened before the events in this one
I’ve never seen this so why is the person she’s auditioning for like that? Like why does that person look that way? A burn victim or is it a costume or something??
Basically the girl in the red dress killed her mom and dad, her mom dying because of burns, and while she was auditioning for something her mom told her she couldn’t for, her parents appeared as the judges but they aren’t actually there (bc they are dead) and that’s why she looks like that
Her mom judged her, told her she would never be famous because instead of giving her fame, people would just be scared of her psychotic behavior, then she got mad and accidentally pushed her mom into a fireplace and she died, and in this scene she sees and hears the ghost of her mother in one of the judges and realizes that everything she said turned out to be the truth
I wondered if she ran away, she tried to make it. Was maybe an extra or something or a background dancer even, would that have put off the bloodlust. But I don’t think so and I think it would have gotten her caught much quicker. I think her jealousy would have lead her to killing the stars of the films and other actresses, directors and that’s not going to go unnoticed. But then what if that did happen and she did get away with it for years?
She’s picturing her mom who she burnt in a f1r3 because she didn’t think she was good enough so she’s picturing the judge as her mom basically saying they think she’s not good enough. Sorry if this was confusing
Is it just me or does she have the most viral things in her movies like for example “please I’m a star” and also “why are you leaving me if I didn’t do anything wrong I don’t understand” she’s the best
Don’t forget “I’m married”
Also the sadistic smile
Also the please god..that prayer
And that monologue! Just WOW! Mia Goth made iconic moments with that role!
Also the "SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!"
Its criminal that she didn’t win an Oscar for this role. Seriously some of the best acting I’ve ever seen. I nvr had 1 sec during either movies where i thought to myself “that seemed kinda out of character”. She killed these roles
Unfortunately Oscar’s diss horror movies like all the time :/
How ironic that also pearl didnt get picked cuz she didnt fit the beauty standards not talents😂
