This is where greek Gods spend their vacations when they leave Olympus Mount...
There is a myth in ancient Greece that tell us that the Olympians went to Egypt for Holidays!
But that’s because for a long time at Egypt a Greek family ruled, the Ptolemaic Dynasty
Cleopatra was from the Ptolemaic Dynasty!
In a myth we read that after the Olympians won the Titans they banished them to the Tartarus for the eternity!
Gaia (the mother-Earth goddess) was so sad for that and her sorrow gave birth to the most horrific monster ever existed in Greece mythology, his name was Typhoon
Typhoon was HUGE
He stepped in Earth and his head touched the sky. One hand could reach East and the other West
He had multiple hands and instead of finger he had dragons
He also had wings and instead of feet he had thousands of hundreds of snakes!!!
He went to Olympus to take revenge for the Titans! When he approached at Olympus the whole sky turned black because Typhoon was covering the Sun
The Olympians were terrified and they fled for Olympus. They went to hide in Egypt
Only Athena left behind to fight with Typhoon
The rest of the Olympians went to Egypt and they transformed into animals to hide from Typhoon!
Hermes became an heron
Apollo became a falcon
Artemis became a cat
Ares became a fish
Hephaestus became a boar
Dionysus became a goat
Zeus became a ram ...
Etc etc etc...
When Zeus saw that Athena left behind to fight we went back to Greece to fight with her!
The rest of the Olympians stayed for a long time in Egypt but eventually they went back to help the others!
Some believe that the Egyptian Gods are the Greek Gods or Egyptian inspired by the Greek Pantheon because of the similarities:
Hermes became a Heron
Heron-face was the Egyptian God Thoth who was the protector of writers and also was the deity protector of Hermopolis

Apollo became a Falcon
Falcon-face was the Egyptian God Horus
Like Apollo, Horus was the God of Light
Artemis became a cat

Dionysus became a goat
Goat characteristics had the God Osiris
Dionysus and Osiris had both relations with the under world.
Dionysus was killed and sent to the Underworld and then he rises again, Osiris too!
