Him singing “I gave my love a cherry” sounds exactly like when my late grandpa used to sing it to me as a lullaby...it really gets me every time.

This tune came into my head recently. I heard it as a child 70 years ago and the words must have lodged in my mind as I knew them all. I decided to listen to the song if it was on UA-cam. Sure enough there it was, sung beautifully by Benjamin Luxon.
