The number one thing Beginner blues players can learn to instantly improve their soloing is where to end their licks. In this lesson I'll show you 3 notes in Box 1 where you should end most of your licks, and show which notes correspond to which parts of the 12-bar blues progression.

I feel like this was made just for me haha. I am working on basic blues licks right now with my music teacher. I’ve been having a rough time of it and this lesson just hit the spot. Thank you so much!

This is a great lesson. I stumbled across this throughout my playing but it took a while to have my breakthrough. This will be so helpful for beginners I think. If nothing else to have in the back of your mind and have your "OH!" moment one day.

Great lesson! I too stumbled onto this and wish there would have been someone/something to point it out to me.

I need things explained at this level. I've heard it all, but still have a hard time making my fingers do the things.

There are a few good places that I've been using. Signals is a great YT channel to start with. Jake is a great teacher, and if you like anthony's lessons, you'll love Jake's. Signals can give you a good base to start with, which can take you into any genre of music that you'd like to play later. Jake covers just about everything....from learning that first progression, to composing your own songs. I recommend Signals to anyone who wants to learn music/guitar theory on their own time. It helped me tremendously, and I always go back for a refresher every so often.
Pow Music is another great channel, and is more blues focused. I would recommend Pow as a second step in your music theory progression. I forget is name right now....Gary, I think....but he's great at taking the basics that you have already learned, and applying them to familiar songs. There are others....but these three (including Anthony here TXBA) are my most used AND recommended.
Your next two years....can be your best two years! Hope you have a great journey! -J
