Question, how would one add an analytic window on the overview dashbiard page such as profits. Rather than just the defaults they choose for quick glance?
Hi, this video was extremely helpful. I have a question, do you know where its the Insights section. I have a shopify memebership and i could not find it in the Analytics tab.
depends on your shopify plan. most likely if you dont have it, your on a more simple plan. see more at help.shopify.com/en/manual/reports-and-analytics/shopify-reports
Great Video! Is it a way to view sales from just 1 particular product? For example if I have a collection for candle then another for juice. Am I able to view sales from the candle collection specifically on its on for a certain date?
Unfortunately shopify doesnt have a by collection. best is to find a third party app that does this OR export your shopify data to csv and open in excel and manually add collection and then use excel for sorting. good luck
I’m trying to build a report that shows all customers that have not ordered in over a year. I’ve tried multiple variations but get confused on the filters (ie. =true =false etc). I don’t believe I’m actually landing with what I’m truly looking for
Hello great video! I was wondering is there a built in feature that let's you input the cost of an item and track it thru the final sale of that same item? I guess like a profit sheet lol if not is there's a third-party software you would recommend? Thanks
Great video - Thank you! I have just upgraded to Advanced Shopify. Is there a place where I can see my full stock inventory for a certain time frame eg 1st May 2021 to 30th April 2022? I need this info for our year end.
Hello! Nice video! Do you think is possible to have a chart by vendor sales over time? The only way it seems to work is exporting month by month manually...
I don't have two options that have been shown in the video - Custom Report and Insights. Also for example do not have to compare New Customers with an Olde ones, that you have shown...So how can I have that, is it depend on the package I have took, or? Also, is there somewhere I can check how many hours customers have spent on the website?
your shopify plan may be limited in functionality. which plan are you using? also, regarding how much time customers have spent on site, i would recommend for you to use google analytics for this data.
Did Shopify remove the Insights Reports? I don't see it under my account. I've reviewed if it's only included in higher level subscriptions but I do not see it anywhere.
can shopify track sales made in my brick and mortar separately from online sales? how would you do that.... do you add a "point of sale" under the sales channel heading?
What is direct sales on the report I have google sales and then right under there is direct sales what is the direct sales line . Where does that sales come from ?
direct sales means that shopify cannot identify where it comes from so it attributes to direct sales. this is typically due to visitor typing in domain in browser, email campaigns that have not been tagged, technical restrictions.
I have a question for you...please answer me. how I can identify the cost of goods sold in Shopify.. please tell me I'll wait for your answer .. thank you
when you edit your products there is a field called "cost per item". you will want to fill it out for all of your products. once you get sales, you will go to the reports called "profit margin". for more information please see help.shopify.com/en/manual/reports-and-analytics/shopify-reports/report-types/profit-reports
Very good summary, thank you 🙏🏼
Other than these questions I have asked, great video...thanks for all detailed explanations!

your welcome. sorry but not aware of this feature unless you use a 3rd party fro inventory
Hello! Nice video! Do you think is possible to have a chart by vendor sales over time? The only way it seems to work is exporting month by month manually...
Sorry but there is no built in way to do so other than exporting and making your own in excel or finding a 3rd party app that has advanced reports

it still exists. i have confirmed that its on one of our clients "shopify" plan (the middle one)
@@Astralwebincloves Thank you for taking the time to confirm it's still available
@@ecommerceai happy to help!
can shopify track sales made in my brick and mortar separately from online sales? how would you do that.... do you add a "point of sale" under the sales channel heading?
yes you can ONLY if you use the shopify POS which means you need to have the shopify hardware and pay for POS and accept all payments via that POS
@@Astralwebincloves thanks! very helpful! do i need to add a 3rd party app to get the sales reports from online and brick and mortar sales?
@@SupermarcheFurniture if you use shopify pos, then it already integrastes automatically.
