Merry Christmas!
Filipino here, also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ at Latter-day Saints. I'm proud as a Filipino to have Lea in the Tabernacle Choir.
This is the first time that I have heard this Christmas Carol. A lot of people living these days just trying to survive, and Lea Salonga hit it on the head when she said, "may this song bring you hope..."
YES, we all need hope. And when we think that in our little corner of the world there is peace, then we can hope that the coming year through God's grace will be a better year for all of us. Let us hold on to that hope. Let us hold on to God.
I'm a Born-Again Christian but I've been a fan of the Tabernacle Choir ever since I can remember. Great to see and hear one of our greatest singers with the iconic choir.
I remember the first time watching them on TV was on PTV4 when they broadcasted their 1994 xmas special 😊😊
I love the Tabernacle Choir.
i love to ¡ im not Mormon, but I lovit this choir
I love the Phillipines.
My "adopted" grandson lives there but is presently attending BYU I.
Wonderful people in the Phillipines.
Spent some of the best two years of my life in the Philippines. Wonderful people.
Such a beautiful Christmas song. ❤
Thank you sister for the motivational messages Amen be blessed abundantly too ❤❤🌹
This is a translation of 'Payapang Daigdig' into English
Peaceful World
The night serene, all whispers softly fade,
Even the stars in azure heavens laid.
A gentle breeze in love's tender embrace,
Embracing peace that blankets every space.
Tranquil moments, life's spirit it weaves,
A gift from God that every soul receives.
The night serene, all whispers softly fade,
Even the stars in azure heavens laid.
The night is calm, a hush in every ear,
Even the stars in the blue sky clear.
A gentle breeze, as if in love's sweet play,
In the world's peace, it finds its own display..
Tranquil moments, life's spirit it weaves,
A gift from God that every soul receives.
The night serene, all whispers softly fade,
Even the stars in azure heavens laid.
The night is calm, a hush in every ear,
Even the stars in the blue sky clear.
A gentle breeze, as if in love's sweet play,
In the world's peace, it finds its own display.
Tranquil moments, life's spirit it weaves,
A gift from God that every soul receives.
The night serene, all whispers softly fade,
The words are just as lovely as Lea's clear voice.❤
thnk you
Thank you so much!😊
Just beautiful
Bravo Lea. 🇺🇸💛🇵🇭
What a moving, heart melting, tear welling performance by the legendary Lea Salonga. Such a substantive, informative introduction as well!
Ms. Lea Salonga 🥺 This is the best rendition of the song I've ever heard! I look up to her. Wish I could hear her sing live someday! 💖
I have heard her live a few times. She is absolutely amazing! Her power and control in singing is mind blowing and so humbling.
Peace to humanity and to the whole world..❤❤❤
''This is it, Christmas Spirit'' Lea Salonga' Lovely
Beautiful!
I grew up in the Philippines but never heard of this song, only now. I suspect this song was buried in time by the catchy tunes of the popular local Christmas songs that are meant for caroling.
Thank you so much sister Lea for the inspiring and motivational messages ❤🙏
the leagend, who has nothing to prove anymore, remains singing with art from the heart 😍
Awesome show. Love Leah, and the Tabernacle choir, their truly one of the best.
Love to see, Lea Salonga performing here...
got teary eyed with this song....
Thank you! May we have peace on earth.. So beautiful..
This song is making me emotional. 😢❤
❤
That was so sweet, tender & beautiful. 💞
I would love to know the words.
Beautiful voice
How beautiful ❤. I love Christmas music! I'm a musician, so I've sung most of it. Every year I look forward to my old favorites and search for new music. Thank you, Lea, for blessing us with this beautiful music. I can feel the Holy Spirit confirm the truth of the words even though I don't understand a one.
0830 This was so lovely, almost made me cry. Brava!
Ms Lea, you are incomparable!
I love it!🥰❤
Beautiful...
so heartfelt ❤
Lovely
Yes!
❤❤❤🎉
Love the "Silent Night" interpolation!
Never heard this song before.
And the lyrics goes…
Ang gabi'y payapa The night is peaceful
Lahat ay tahimik All are silent
Pati mga tala Even the stars
Sa bughaw na langit In the blue sky
Kay hinhin ng hangin The breeze is gentle
Waring umiibig As if it loves
Sa kapayapaan The peace
Ng buong daigdig In the entire world
Payapang panahon The time of peace
Ay diwa ng buhay Is the essence of life
Biyaya ng Diyos God’s grace
Sa sangkatauhan To the human race
Ang gabi'y payapa The night is peaceful
Lahat ay tahimik All are silent
Pati mga tala Even the stars
Sa bughaw na langit In the blue sky
This is my interpretation.
The night is peaceful.
Everything is quiet,
even the stars
in the blue sky.
How gentle is the wind.
It seems to be in love
with the peace of the whole world.
A peaceful time
is the essence of life,
a blessing from God
to humankind.
The night is peaceful,
even the stars in the blue sky.
💛...
