I've been kayak fishing Nueces bay exclusively for the past year and a half, and it has been very consistent with productivity. It has provided me with the best fishing I've ever had... ive worked other areas during that time but Nueces bay always calls me back because it always produces for me..
Been enjoying your videos since Covid I believe. Glad you’re back. My favorite corky. I only have one they are pricy and I’m not that good of fisherman yet but it’s the white one.
Subscribed and Liked! I'm always grateful that guys like you take the time and effort to put these videos together. I've asked several people so I'll just go ahead and ask you: would you consider putting together a navigational video for Nueces Bay? No secret fishing holes or anything of that sort. I'm talking about general safe routes, how to cross the bay, best way to the river/marsh area, areas of interest, and especially where NOT to go in a boat and what to avoid. Anyways, thanks and 👍👍
Started fishing with corkys about 3-4yrs ago and love em. Paul brown soft dine xl in a silver glitter seem to be most consistent for me. Most versatile lure in my bag.
I just got a kayak and have been fishing nueces bay exclusively. I’ve seen my BIL work corkys and bring in some good fish so I’m trying to get the hang of using a corky now.
I've caught more fish in areas after dredging was complete and gone . Galveston bolivar bay was the same way. Ppl were angry because of the dredging. But the rewards of catching alot of fish after were great
It's terrible that they've destroyed all that natural habitat. You would think that a environmental impact report would say to not do it. Can you imagine what will happen if the de-sal plant goes up and the dump all the by product back into the bay? I think it would throw the salinity level of the bay off and kill a lot of the marine life.
Bro, you beat me I was planning to make a video like this with my drone, too. Unfortunately, I crashed my 1st one, which already had some sweet video of the Rock Line on a beautiful Sunny Day fishing was slow for me with the high water at the time
@StixHD Yes, I have been fortunate to purchase another one. Wow, luv the Redfish munchen on shrimp footage. What kind of camera did you use to capture that amazing clip?
My favorite corky is dark purple with a silver belly, and a splash of chartreuse on the bad end… I fish it in the grassy areas of west Galveston bay!! (Pro tip: it’s not as effective a lure in sand or shell bottoms) Love the channel, my fishing buddies and I all subscribe and it’ll be a great day when we all make a boys trip to corpus!!
Nice vid, my favorite Paul Brown is in Pistachio color. Best producing for me in SWFL. That’s what my snook has in its mouth in my profile pic. Keep the videos coming 🤙.
Wow that’s crazy. I remember going back to fish behind the jumbo project it was the “steep hill” me and my little brother would fish there back in 2015-16 crazy and sad how it is all land now smh. Was a good spot for sure
Yes! One of my 1st kayak spots I had a light kayak at that time to overcome that hill I could make it across to whites point fish the reefs in the middle
Fav. Type of corky: idk yet still learning Fav color: any. I’m not picky. Great content. Ive used my waders 2xs so far. Both times a bust. Like I said still learning.
Black and silver soft dine Xl , but my new favorites are the Big Softie from Pavlures in the yellow chartuse check them out has many variations and does customs as well
Its heartbreaking forsure and then on top of this a desal plant I can't even imagine the ecological impact that would make. I understand that the Refineries are the bread and butter of the economy in Corpus but they need to find a middle ground. I remember when Fulton corridor first opened up there were 2 public fishing spots 1 on the river and 1 on the bay by the power lines that was nice at the time now there's just the river and the dredge pipeline is blocking most of it.
Yeah man, it's sad to see the bay getting hammered. Hopefully, some solutions can be found. That Desal plant would be bad news but I’m sure it will happen eventually
the leaders that run corpus is just disgracesful. i mean look how it took them to start on bob hall pier. they dont understand that corpus is a fishing paridise but corporate greed is filling their pockets .
Stix, I am entering your giveaway. My buddy and I went this past Saturday and had a great day. He used Corkys. I am still trying to get confident using them. Keep putting out the great videos.
The ship channel has been dredged before, much of that "natural" habitat isn't natural at all. In four or five years the new habitat will good fishing again.
Yeah I understand that but I believe this is the first time they dump the dredging from the ship channel into Nueces. Just something we have to adjust and get used to but it’s messing up the water quality
Corpus christi coast is nasty and so is the town alot more homeless and crackheads in the area. Visited several times and felt more and more uncomfortable.
All the oyster reefs have been destroyed in the whole state of Texas. What oyster dredging didn't kill the chemicals killed. Over 40 years Commercial fisherman, watched the destruction happen, all the while warning parks and wildlife this was going to happen. Even gave them many ideas on how to manage, only to be laughed at and told they knew what they're doing.
That happen to us here in the Laguna madre it took years to recover it was really hard finding schools of redfish. They killed all the vegetation it took for ever to come back.
Well don't fish the Aransas pass tx fishing area. The fish are non-existent. Sad the fishing is that bad since the freeze. And all the dolphins CCA wake up.
It doesn’t look the same 🥲 Can you still get up the river? Hey you don’t have to go south I’ve got a place for you. Remember the story I told you about the biggest trout I’ve ever hooked?
RIIP NUECES 💔
Merch is available on my website! Thanks for all the support!

Your videos are always a blast to watch. New to the corky game but can’t wait to catch my first tank on one.
I've been kayak fishing Nueces bay exclusively for the past year and a half, and it has been very consistent with productivity. It has provided me with the best fishing I've ever had... ive worked other areas during that time but Nueces bay always calls me back because it always produces for me..
That's awesome to hear, hopefully it stays consistent for you.
Hell ya bro back at it! Bout time 😂
Keep the videos coming.

Time will tell. Hopefully it turns back around
Awesome tailing reds footage. Well done
Thank you for watching!

Yeah it’s not good! I’m sure that desalination plant is coming. Just a matter of time
Bro, you beat me I was planning to make a video like this with my drone, too. Unfortunately, I crashed my 1st one, which already had some sweet video of the Rock Line on a beautiful Sunny Day fishing was slow for me with the high water at the time
Dang that’s rough about the drone, hopefully you can get another one! Yeah I’ve had this video idea for a while just finally got around to making it
@StixHD Yes, I have been fortunate to purchase another one. Wow, luv the Redfish munchen on shrimp footage. What kind of camera did you use to capture that amazing clip?

Loving your content !!! My favorite corky is the gringo !!!!
My favorite corky is the Paul Brown Softdine XL in a silver color it seems to always get me a good thump
Nice vid, my favorite Paul Brown is in Pistachio color. Best producing for me in SWFL. That’s what my snook has in its mouth in my profile pic. Keep the videos coming 🤙.
Thanks for watching the vids all the way from Florida! Love the pistachio! Great bait for clean water for me. Bet it’s money up there in Florida!
Yeah when I first started fishing I drug my old kayak up and down that steep hill lol
Man this is sad man i hate. But love the video man hope to meet u one day.
It is heartbreaking. Thanks for watching!
Fav. Type of corky: idk yet still learning Fav color: any. I’m not picky.
Great content. Ive used my waders 2xs so far. Both times a bust. Like I said still learning.
Keep at it with the corky!
Thank you for watching the videos and the support!
Soft dine xl in bay mistress has been fire lately
Nice! Glad you been on them!
So, they want to fine you to the fullest if you disturb the grass in the bays, but they're cool with just filling it in.
lol true. Never thought of it like that
I believe tho I'll quote Jurassic Park, "Life will find a way"
Yup gotta adjust
Black and silver soft dine Xl , but my new favorites are the Big Softie from Pavlures in the yellow chartuse check them out has many variations and does customs as well
Heard a lot about PAV Lures. Might have to snag a couple and try them out
My favorite Corky is the Paul Brown Devil in yellow!
I’m still learning how to fish corkys
Still learning how to throw corkkkky’s! Keep it up bruh
@@STOICOUTDOORS thanks brother! I enjoy your vids! Lmk when the next whiskey Myers concert is lmao
@ lmao 🤣
Between industrialization, oyster harvest and interruption of freshwater inflow, our bays are being sold out.
My Go-to Corky Fatoys are the TX Chicken and Orange & Black.
I stuck a 30 1/2 few weeks ago when we got the cold fronts

Iv never caught a trout on a Corky's don't know why
Texas turnip xl caught me some great ones last year
Great color!
Money 🤑 honey. These corporate pigs don’t care about none of that habitat.😂
Thats terrible. Just jacked that whole shoreline. Guess they will put in windmills. Another terrible ideal.
Yeah it sucks but hopefully with time the bay will come around
What kind of wade belt is that?
Hookset 6” wading belt
Just started fishing with Corkys
Its heartbreaking forsure and then on top of this a desal plant I can't even imagine the ecological impact that would make. Nothing gold can stay
My favorite corky is the L&S bone corky
That’s pathetic! No wonder they keep lowering the limits, they’re destroying the habitat at breakneck speed…
The lowering limits has more to do with the freeze I believe but yeah this is definitely not helping at all
Hmmm favorite color corky would have to be the Custom Corky pistachio color. ✌🏼
the leaders that run corpus is just disgracesful. i mean look how it took them to start on bob hall pier. they dont understand that corpus is a fishing paridise but corporate greed is filling their pockets .
It’s a shame fished that area since I was a kid.
Yeah it sucks
Favorite corky pearl/chartreuse
The OG color!
The fat boy copper double bubble is my go to lure!!! Been good here in Port Mansfield.
Dang, my in laws live right there in Portland and I always liked going out there.
Yeah it’s not good. Hopefully with time it can recover
Stix, I am entering your giveaway. My buddy and I went this past Saturday and had a great day. He used Corkys. I am still trying to get confident using them. Keep putting out the great videos.
Water in the bay looks way better than Port Aransas, by far...
What area? Haven’t been to Port A in a while
RIP Nueces Bay
It's a shame. I too love fishing Nueces Bay.
What’re your thoughts? What have you seen fishing wise since the dredging started
Hard to beat a pistachio softdine xl

Soft dine XL Pure Silver
Smashed them on pure silver in crystal clear water a while back!
its only gonna get worse
Yeah probably
Wow that's Sad
Yeah it is
Dredging will stop eventually, hopefully, but then we gotta be concerned about the desalination plant right there. Unreal right? :/
Yeah that’s true it will stop hopefully. But the Desal plant is bad news
Yah I use to fish that area all the time. But they jacked that whole area up. I drive thru that area when I go to fish in AP
Yeah gonna be like that for a while
@ yah. Sucks big time. I used to wade that whole shoreline all the the time. That’s a shame
To bad they don't dredge out fish pass , man when that was new you didn't need a boat .
I wish I could have fished it then. Bet it was unreal
I like any corkys and any color Corkys
Corpus christi coast is nasty and so is the town alot more homeless and crackheads in the area. Visited several times and felt more and more uncomfortable.

I love the fat boy and the copper top color!
Great color!!!
I can believe the army corps let that happen. But money talks. A waste of a great bay They have destroyed the reefs
Yup money talks. Just part of the industry and the way it’s gonna be
Sad it's all about the money
Yep money talks
Favorite corky is the plum nasty fat boy
I prefer throwing one knocker top waters for big trout tho!
Plum nasty is one of my favorites! Yeah that one knocker is a solid lure
That happen to us here in the Laguna madre it took years to recover it was really hard finding schools of redfish. They killed all the vegetation it took for ever to come back.
Where at upper or lower Laguna? Yeah a lot of the grass is dying here
Well don't fish the Aransas pass tx fishing area. The fish are non-existent. Sad the fishing is that bad since the freeze. And all the dolphins CCA wake up.
Haven’t fished there in a while. Used to fish light house lakes frequently in the kayak
Bird Island was fire on Saturday! Speckled Red Fire!
Nice man! Glad you got on them! Hope you were rocking the hat lol
@my son stole that hat from me within 2 hours. I’m gonna have to order another one!
Haha thief! Lol jk. That’s good! I guess he liked it.
Sucks what they are doing! Government will blame reduced numbers of fish on recreational anglers. We take the fall for everyone else, all the time.
Yeah very true
My fav 2 are Custom Corky Fat Boy - Plum Nasty & Boogeyman.
No Red Gills!!!!!
No floater allowed! Lol. Need to figure them out. Don’t think I’ve caught a fish on a floater
It doesn’t look the same 🥲 Can you still get up the river? Hey you don’t have to go south I’ve got a place for you. Remember the story I told you about the biggest trout I’ve ever hooked?
Yeah you can still get up River. I think I remember where you were talking about
