Oh My Goodness. I am related to Le-Brun on my maternal grandmother's side! How wonderful that you are talking about her. I am no where near as talented & skilled as she was, but I love her paintings. They are simply Beautiful.

How Wonderful to have found the old documents. And I Love that little lamp, so sweet. And your right, no fringe on the lamp. They would not have had any on it .

I love your mantel décor b/c the books soften it. In fact, the room is blushing - a perfect look for spring/summer as everything blooms as in youth. I never tire of your feminine creativity and enthusiasm for your living space.

I really love all your treasures you have a love for antiques that I also have too . I imagine the nice building you live in is very old ? Do you know what year your building was built ? My favorite country is France even though I've never been there ! 😂 I also thank you for all your beautiful beautiful videos and for introducing us to the people of the past , from the. old books you have purchased , and the beautiful glimpses you give us of your wonderful country ! Thanks again !

Thank you , I hope you will have someday the possibility to visit it and to see it in person . I don't know precisely when my building was built, it doesn't appear in any legal papers, my neighbours don't know it either but probably very late 19th century. Thank you for stopping by:)

I'm so happy that you are sharing so much historical information. Being Australian I would never know any of this. My Grannonna was from Lyon but I know very little of her.
I've heard Book-binding is a very good skill to have. There are so many tutorials on it, so hopefully you'll be able to do it and it's not too expensive. Thank you again for another lovely episode 😊 xx

I think you wouldn't be disappointed if you like women artists life, I have a blast reading it , it's so easy to relate to her emotions and things she lives and go through as an artist during this period. She was also free to do all she wanted being separated from her husband and making money with her paintings she is very modern in many aspects of her life,.... hope you will enjoy it if you have a chance to read it. Thank you Jessica !

Always fun to see what treasures you found. I like to get to know artists or writers I have not been familiar with. I just came back from Germany, and returned with a couple heirlooms from my great great grandparents. When around us the world goes mad, my own little kingdom, family and friends keep me smiling and sane.

Hello Laetitia, thank you for sharing your book finds. They are beautiful and interesting. My fave is the Nature book with the hold out illustrated prints. Those folded letters are such a fun find too. How awesome to find framed art of Louise. Perfect spot on your studio wall. The other framed art is awesome as well. Will that go in your studio as well?
That little lamp is sweet. I didn't know fringe wasn't on lamps until much later. I also like your glass bottle with the cross on top. Don't know if you ever shared it with us before.
    Thank for sharing.

Thank you Roksanna :) the big frame will go in the bedrom but since I filmed this video I broke the glass.. I willstill hang it as it is the glass bottle with teh cross, mmIdon't knwo what is is , the cross belongs to the crown but maybe on the video it looks differently .

When I see letters like you where showing I miss writing letters to friends. I had a pen pal when I was a young girl, but now all I receive are text messages. Makes me miss the time before text messages

There are still poeple who like to write real paper letters you just need to find them ! I do it on a regular basis with 4 friends and it's so pleasant to do it and still possible in 2022. I know opening your mail box finding a sweet card or letter from someone who took the time and the effort to write and send it, cannot be compared with a short message with emojis because it is too exhausting to write full words...

@@Merveillesenpapier you are lucky to have good friends like that. Several years ago I wrote 2 good friends and basically said let's start writing letters to each other. They both text me back saying why?😔.

    • @Merveillesenpapier
      @Merveillesenpapier  2 роки тому

oh no, that's so sad and a bit rude....I would have been so disappointed to receive this reply....!!! Maybe you need to add new friends to your circle! For me some are actually sweet ladies I met thanks to you tube and who enjoyed writing, I don't send letters to all my oldest friends, like yours some don't enjoy that at all.. But maybe I will have to think about creating a place for people who want to share similar tastes and would like to write and come back to past pleasantand fulfilling habits... I will have a video coming ina few weeks about the art of letters and writing in the 18th as it's a fascinating subject to me

@@recyclecouture I don't have a computer, I always took advantage of using the public library for their free computers. But during Covid lockdown the libraries were closed and I had to hand write all my business letters.
Companies thought I was some sort of psyco fanatic because they had to read hand written letters. Consequently, I was never taken seriously.
