    If we can avoid injuries we can be an elite Defense.

      I Agree, I believe it will take a few weeks for Steelers new ILBs to learn each others tendencies. National audience is going to enjoy Patrick Queen and Payton Wilson explode on Dak Prescott and the Cowboys week 5

      Fr though. People are going to get their feelings hurt the way this defense jumps all over them if they don't do their research. We have got some young x-factor style impact players at every position. Benton, Herbig, Queen, Wilson, JPJ the future is blindingly bright

    Watched a good bit of this on the website, but the quality was rough on my phone. Thanks for getting this to UA-cam so quickly, Alex.
    I think we are much better off at DB than most people think.

      A lot of people like to talk bad about Tomlin but one thing that shouldn’t be questioned is the teams ability to get the most out of DB’s under his watch. Can Sutton, Joe Haden, Akhello Witherspoon, even Minkah Fitzpatrick are all guys who proved they were much better off under Tomlin. With Minkah, a competent SS, JPJ, and Donte Jackson on the outside and Cam Sutton back in the slot I think this is one of the best Steelers secondaries in a while. I think people are really underestimating Donte Jackson, Tomlins interest in him makes me think he will look like a star as a steeler

    One of my concerns is his hip fluidity. Those inside releases from other wide receivers are definitely giving him trouble. Also, his footwork on those stacks are not consistent enough. Hopefully he’s been working on that because he will see a lot of those type of routes this season

    When I think who would I not want to miss any time this season for Pittsburgh? It would be Watt and then either Pickens or Porter. So for me, he has tremendous value and shown an ability to blanket opposing players.

    i believe that you are 100% right on this one, but similar videos were put out within the last 2 years, regarding james pierre....i think jpj pedigree will be that difference between a pierre and jpj, just have to see it for an entire season in 2024, his development and production could be a very underrated key to steelers success in 2024?!

    The fact that Pickens made that insane catch on JPJ during training camp just speaks to how much of an alien Pickens is because JPJ was locking everyone down all season

    You watched _all_ of JPJR's targets. But Fields only gets "Ay, I t'ink maybe Arthur Smith can use Fields for some designed QB rushes"? Lemme show you something. ua-cam.com/video/5JO1PsupF_U/v-deo.html. *Count* 'em. Go ahead.
    Count the # of times each QB throws the ball off by inches (perhaps causing a receiver to be tackled instead of gaining YAC) or is off by miles & would definitely be an INT in the NFL. If Williams is Generational, how tf did the Bears make someone _better than_ Generational seem like a bust you should only think about using in the run game? I mean you *have* a video about how good DCs think.
    So how do you ignore how play-calling affects players? I mean we have Video Footage of Fields threading passes just beyond the out-stretched reach of defenders ua-cam.com/video/AFpyUpgpxcI/v-deo.html *_IN_** the NFL* in ways one normally only sees on Dan Marino highlights.
    Are you suggesting that Dan Marino wouldn't be good at passing? I mean how much more video footage does one have to provide before people abandon their false memes?
    When the Bears led Allen, Mahomes & Joe Burrow's élite WR trio in offense for 3 weeks straight yet the Bears lost all 3 games it was Fields' fault: "this shows he Can't Win Games." When Mooney & Claypool ran the wrong routes or deflected passes that hit them in the hands ua-cam.com/video/glpaya0xz-4/v-deo.html to the other team, people said *that* was Fields' fault.
    When he has to scramble for his life because his o-line refuses to block _any_ pass rusher (the first 23 minutes of ua-cam.com/video/FiiK21VzI_o/v-deo.html with a shout-out to 22:45) or his HC refused to answer why he told his QB to Not Throw To Certain Receivers on Certain Plays Fields was blamed for holding onto the ball too long. That applies to QBs in clean pockets with open receivers to throw to.
    Fields was told not to throw to open receivers & had No Pockets sometimes for over 60% of his snaps. Like hey, it's only a chance to grow your channel by having such a prescient video up showing he will be élite should he get a chance to start. & since Russ couldn't scramble like his old self to where he can see the field _after_ losing weight last season & won't likely be able to now that he's older. Fields _will_ likely get to start, for whatever excuse in week 2 at least.
    Just a thought. Why does everyone act as if Fields was born into week 12 of '22?

    • @Alex_Kozora
      @Alex_Kozora  8 днів тому

      So your central point is why I don't talk about Justin Fields enough? I'll answer that, putting aside most of your commentary about Dan Marino and Caleb Williams and college highlights that are just moot.
      Short answer. I talk about Fields a ton. The videos here and the breakdowns I have done for the website. Understand my channel is a complement to my work for Steelersdepot.com. Sometimes, my breakdowns are in article form for the site. Sometimes, it's a YT video. I did many articles and film rooms on Fields this year. I watched more of him than I spent re-watching Porter's 58 snaps/targets here.
      So your point is incorrect. I spent plenty of time analyzing Fields' game as a quarterback. Moreso than I did on Porter this offseason. It just didn't always come in the form of a UA-cam video.

    • @ChewsCarefully
      @ChewsCarefully 8 днів тому

      @@Alex_Kozora "So your central point is why I don't talk about Justin Fields enough?"
      Nope. I suggested you could look at how he got from being an élite QB to being perceived as a bust, giving ideas of how those impressions came about, & pointing out how having such a video could help grow your channel if Fields came to start & proved that he _is_ éite.
      Not the same thing at all.

    • @Alex_Kozora
      @Alex_Kozora  8 днів тому

      @@ChewsCarefully Ah, understood. I'm more interested in viewing where he's currently at instead of perceptions or where he was thought to be years ago.
      Understanding his current skillset is the most valuable way of analyzing what type of QB the Steelers are getting in 2024. And that's what I have done to a very in-depth degree across the site and this channel.

    • @ChewsCarefully

      @@Alex_Kozora Cool. Point me to dem videos. (I honestly can't tell from titles which one _DO_ that. But hey, tremendous job of stopping yourself from continuing with your first assumption & parsing this out. Concise isn't MY strong suit).

      @@ChewsCarefully Like I wrote a couple times, my analysis has been a mix between the site and UA-cam. You've probably seen all the ones I've done on YT.
      But I had more breakdowns of his game on Steelers Depot. That is the primary form of my commentary and analysis. UA-cam is a secondary avenue for it.
