I am surprised you omitted Stade Yves-du-Manoir. Still standing and in use, it was the main stadium for the 1924 Paris Olympics. It now seats about 14,000.
London is a must. There can't be a city on Earth with more stadiums. Not even close. There are five venues with 60,000 + capacities. Six when Chelsea rebuild Stamford Bridge.
I was actually curious about all the stadiums in Los Angeles, and laid them out on a custom Google map. Lots of big beautiful venues there, modern and historic, that would make a great video.
Cape Town South Africa, we have a lot of hidden little stadiums. Including a boxing arena in the middle of one of the biggest squatter camps in the world.
the Accor hotel arena also hosted ice hockey tornaments such as coupe de france and the iihf world champioship in 2017, it a potential arena for a khl examption team in paris
One of the best games in 2021 was the France v New Zealand rugby game in the Autumn . The French reminded us all of how they used play in spectacular game . The Stade de France was rocking from start to finish
I was there, never seen the crowd so wild for Les Bleus in rugby. First game with 80,000 at home since the pandemic, the opponent, the score and the intensity of the game... everything was perfect to make it a banger!
I hope you will make a video with stadiums in Copenhagen - but not just Copenhagen Municipality - since it is only a smaller part of Copenhagen. If you made a video of Larger Copenhagen (It is litterelly called that - "Storkøbenhavn" in Danish) it would not only include Parken and Royal Arena but also Brondby Stadium, Brondby Hallen, Right To Dream Park and velodrome Ballerup Super Arena. There is also some pretty good smaller stadiums with capacities over 4000 (Lyngby Stadion, Gladsaxe Stadion, Valby Idrætspark, Sundby Idrætspark, Hvidovre Stadion, Gentofte Stadion, Østerbro Stadion, Vanløse Idrætspark and maybe Frederiksberg Idrætsanlæg. I may have forgotten some. Football culture is big in Copenhagen and the Copenhagen suburbs and many of the small stadiums are pretty charming.
Really happy to see you post a new video. I'm a big fan of your channel. You should do a video on Houston. I know you mentioned it in your "Stadium Capitals of the World" video.
Another French man here, PSG season ticket holder for 16 seasons! Glad to see you back and congrats for the fantastic work on my City! In Seattle now but always more than happy to see my former place! Next city for Stadiums? Close from Paris but you will have a lot to cover: London!
I’d love to see you do a video on the stadiums of exotic Columbus Ohio. There’s at least 10 that would fit your criteria across 6 sports. Anyway great videos, keep up the good work!
would love to see you do houston, texas ! we have a ton of arenas and stadiums and especially ones that are used for high school sports! would definitely love to see some light shine on houston!
Never would I have thought of seeing Halle Charpentier, literally the building facing my home, in one of your fantastic videos. Great job! I am a huge fan of stadiums and I visited all these venues. You only did some minor mistakes, for example Stade Bauer's grass is now natural and you could have added the stadium in Colombes where the 1938 World Cup final was held. And the Versailles Stadium hosting 6000 spectators (Versailles is part of the Paris area). Amazing video nevertheless 😁👌
If you want to continue looking at single metropolitan areas, I'd suggest the Ruhrgebiet in Germany. A lot of soccer stadiums, a giant gym and many more...
Doing a city like London would take about an hour video, but what about Berlin? It has a multitude of small football clubs in the surrounding suburbs so could be quite interesting.
Thanks for the vid! though I would say you omitted a couple stadiums that have over 4000. : - Dôme de Paris (Judo etc) = 5 100 (up to) - Stade yves du manoir = 14 000 -Palais sports Marcel cerdan = 4000 - Stade Robert Bobin = 18 800 -Stade Marville = 10 000 -Stade Michel-Hidalgo = 6500 -Stade Montbauron = 7 300
How about a history video on mlb's Giants stadiums: Pologrounds 1880s-1950s....Candlestick Park 1960s-1999....and what i call the new pologrounds 2000-?
The return of the king.
The world needed him most, he returned
As a frenchman, it was quite entertaining to witness how you mispronounced almost every name but I appreciate the effort
what do you mean? that was clearly perfect french!
Shut up
@@JoeyB-2001 Naaah that wasn't
@@JoeyB-2001 why you lying?🙂
Moi je suis Francais and I can tell you all names have been mispronounced.
I am surprised you omitted Stade Yves-du-Manoir. Still standing and in use, it was the main stadium for the 1924 Paris Olympics. It now seats about 14,000.
Isn’t Stade Colombes-the site of a World Cup soccer final in 1938-in the Paris area too?
Honestly... Stadiums based upon major cities around the world... I absolutely love it 😍 keep up the great work
He is finally back! This will be an awesome series.
I would say do London next but you'd have a 2 hour video!
London is a must. There can't be a city on Earth with more stadiums. Not even close. There are five venues with 60,000 + capacities. Six when Chelsea rebuild Stamford Bridge.
@@vordman Buenos Aires
How about a compilation of African stadiums? Keep the good work mate
Video suggestion: Stadiums that removed athletic track.
There is a discussion in skyscrapercity forum about that.
Could be an interesting one. Could also do one on stadiums that used to have a greyhound racing track outside of grassed area.
Anyone else get like... egregiously high... and watch this dude's videos? Just me? ok. god damn this is bliss
Welcome back, missed ya 💜
I was actually curious about all the stadiums in Los Angeles, and laid them out on a custom Google map. Lots of big beautiful venues there, modern and historic, that would make a great video.
Already excited for the London episode!
Pierre de Coubertin was the main force in bringing back the Olympics to 1896 greece!
Cape Town South Africa, we have a lot of hidden little stadiums.

Glad to see Wide World back. Love his videos!

The 1999 France-NZ game was epic

Aye but it wasn’t in Paris , it was played at the cabbage patch
I was there, never seen the crowd so wild for Les Bleus in rugby. First game with 80,000 at home since the pandemic, the opponent, the score and the intensity of the game... everything was perfect to make it a banger!

The legend returns
THE KING IS BACK, THE KING IS BACK!
Great to discover the venues of Paris, especially in 2 1/2 years (July 2024) for the centennial anniversary of the first Paris Olympics.
In 2 1/2 years, he will surely do a Paris stadiums video. But the 1924 Olympics is a less likely subject than the 2024 Olympics.
Really happy to see you post a new video. I'm a big fan of your channel. You should do a video on Houston. I know you mentioned it in your "Stadium Capitals of the World" video.
