Nice video . . . awesome battery! I've had one of Pauls batteries for 18months now and no issues whatsoever and just love it!
Quality Built Battery , BMS Specs, Awesome . Looks like the way i will go i think.
I have been using Paul’s batteries since the beginning, as I cannot fault any of his products as you can see from some of our videos, the rundowns we do are pretty intensive.
Wow, thats so impressive, over 100a draw right down to the very last drop.
Your videos are awesome, so informative, and those batteries, words just can't describe them!
i need to ditch the 2 AGM's i have and go for 1, or 2 of these, they'd slip right into my plastic battery boxes
Thats their exact intended use.
Great video for you & Paul Oscar
Thank you kindly
Awesome battery. Just took one across the Simpson powering induction cooktop, Nespresso machine and even a hairdryer! Mine is 190Ah, fitted in an Aldi battery box and paired with 3000W Renogy inverter. Completely gas free camping. Love it.
And that’s how it should be simple.
Thank you for commenting
Thanks for the info and how you presented it for us
My pleasure!
I hope Dane Zeering sees this
They look so good I watch all your videos im in Adelaide as well. Life goals to have a setup like what you do in our van oneday.
It did confuse me a little that the battery kept going for such a long time after saying it was at 0%? Also how bad is it for that battery to be taken so low?
I can provide an answer to that. This battery has been sitting idle for a few months, so the SOC will have drifted over time. This is something basically all Smart BMS batteries do. We've improved the BMS software since then and managed some better calibration of the BMS at the same time, so there will be less drift for current model batteries. Matt didn't do any top up charge before the test, so he will have used whatever was remaining.
There's no problem draining these batteries right down until the BMS shuts down, providing they are recharged shortly after. They shouldn't be stored in a discharged state for long periods. 🙂
@@PowerPaulAu Hi Paul I appreciate the response. I have 2x EV power 120ah batts in my camper with Bluetooth. The SOC readout on them even over 3 days after starting from a fresh full charge ends up out by about 40 odd % very disappointing. I installed a victron smart shunt thats very close however even after months of sitting at super low idle draw its a few %. We are looking to upgrade our camper to a caravan I will be looking at 2 of these ot maybe on scout. They are awesome batteries that you supply.
The history goes a few years ago I was looking for a high discharge 12v battery to be able to be supplied to us here in Adelaide.
I have been building lithium batteries myself for many years and noticed someone over in Victoria starting up a small build.
I contacted Paul and asked him if he could supply us with a continual supply of batteries over the next few years and he agreed the rest is history, scroll through some more of my videos to look at what we put these batteries through.
We do complete discharges and load them right up to see what they can do very happy and continue to be happy.
So if this battery had a 20mm vent tube and seal, does it then enable install inside Van. Case looks strong enough one strapped down,
Thanks for sensible review, regards 👻
Hello who is Paul, what cells are they. We are building a camper. We want two independent solar set ups. One for fridge and draw freezer other for lights and inverter. I will send you a email this week
What type of cells are those? Eve, Calb ?
