Hello Brian and Jessica! Great recipe! I would love to see a "carrot dog" recipe from you guys 😉. I am confident Brian would come up with a pretty tasty carrot. Up for the challenge? 😊🤗
@Krocks in the Kitchen Guys I have a question... while in the 2 week potato diet... what did you drink? Was there a beverage restriction or was it open?
I throw some chopped cucumber, cherry tomatoes and sliced peperoncini peppers in my Greek bowl/salad but I never had the chickpeas before. They add a new flavorful spin that is now essential to my recipe. Thanks! P.S. Have you guys ever tried Tabouli salad?
I enjoyed the real-time recipe. I like your haircut, Brian. Jessica, your attention to detail is much appreciated. You guys do such a great job with your videos.
I gotta make this! Would be so tasty with some spinach in a pita pocket! Definitely would add a cup of chopped fresh parsley! Thanks for the recipe inspiration!
First, I fully agree on adding a little brown rice to cauliflower rice. The blended flavors are perfect and for me, it helps to satisfy me for longer. Second, I agree that salad is better eaten with a spoon. I am not sure I would like chickpeas but it is certainly on my list of food to try. I've added in so many vegetables that I didn't previously eat and I am still having fun learning and tasting new foods, recipes and dishes.
Hello! I love your channel! I am vegan and i am Greek and i find your recipe wonderful! I used to eat chickpeas as a salad with lemon, cumin and tahini and I also like them cooked with tomato sauce and brown rice! But i think its a great idea to try your recipe, it looks fantastic! Thank you for your recipes for your channel and for your smile! Both of you are gorgeous!
Brian, you look so handsome! You both inspire us with your videos on our own whole food plant based adventure. Thanks for sharing so much of yourselves.
What a great idea to add the labels of the spices on the jars. This is a very effective educational technique. This and other techniques you use allow me to understand concepts much more easily than many other cooking shows. Thank you for very effective attention to detail.
Great video! Brian your face looks so much thinner than it used to!!! I just Googled your images and compared the older pics to now. WOW!!! Such a great job with the weight loss over the years. You and Jessica are really inspiring ✨ 👏 love you guys ❤
just made your jambalya recipe. outstanding as usual! I so, so, so appreciate the major work you folks do to get this valuable info to all of us. I am hugging you both right now. can you feel it!!!
I absolutely love that you had the ingredients in their containers and didn't put them each measured it in individual bowls. TY! The way you filmed is real life.
Brilliant, I needed inspiration for dinner and your greek chickpeas hit the spot. I usually hate when people say "I loved your...but I did this and that etc" changes the recipe, yuk. but here I thought it needed something REAL MINT! Oh my, it elevated it to amazing, couldnt stop 'cooks taste test'. Thanks Crocks I will be using this one a lot :)
I used to get a Greek Quinoa Salad from Whole Foods but now I make it myself. It’s made with quinoa, grape tomatoes cut up, cucumber, red onion, kalamata olives, pepperocini, garbanzos and your favorite Greek dressing. You could also add the tofu feta. I’ll have to try your garbanzo recipe in my quinoa version. Just wanted to share another way to make a Greek salad! Thanks!
This looks so easy and I know it tastes great... I'm the kind of person that likes plain garbanzos -- sort of drain a can and eat them kind of thing -- so this looks really great! Yum!
This would be nice with tzatziki. I made my tzatziki easy: I drain soy yoghurt through a sieve with a paper towel in it, let the water drop out for at least 1 hour. I great a whole cucumber and press ste liquid out of it. Then i mix it with the yoghurt, fresch gratet pepper, pressed garlic (or powder), salt and a little lemon juice (or white wine vinegar) and if I feel fancy I threw in fresh parsley or dill, but it’s totally optional. I will definitely try these chickpeas out! Greetings from germany, julia
I would add some minced garlic that comes in bottles too! Violife feta is awesome & I started using it instead of cream cheese as well because they give you a big block where the Violife cream cheese is a small tub. Violife feta & guava paste on a toasted bagel is heaven!
Great recipe! And I love Greek food! I'm making this now since I have all the ingredients on hand. I did add an extra spice, Cumin! Next I'll add the beans to a salad or to tacos made out of romaine lettuce leaves. I think this will be one of those "make ahead for the week" items since you can switch meals up with the add-ons so easily. This will make my salads a little more interesting this coming Spring & Summer! Great ideas, you two! Thank you.
I bought a bunch of garbanzo beans and had no idea how I was going to use them. This is right up my alley!!! Thank you!!! BTW, you guys look amazing and I am sure probably feel amazing!! 👏👏
I used mint sauce...shake of it and did on cannellini beans...also only had rice wine vinegar...turned out nice...thanks for new recipe....🍋🍋🍋...Michelle from Horse Creek Farm...Queensland Australia 🌷🌷🌷
That’s awesome Brian. Loved how real you guys are. I was thinking that I would like put all the ingredients (minus chickpeas) in a mason jar, shake and pour. Looks delicious. Loved how you showed the versatility. K’rock on!!!
I am so gonna make those chickpeas and the Greek bowl! I'm thinking follow the traditional Greek salad guidelines for it, which you basically did, but add some sliced beets and pepperoncini sliced up too! I'm giddy just thinking about making this! Thanks for the idea!
Looks scrumptious! Definitely going to try this and the tofu feta to up my salad game. Thanks for the inspiration and always bringing the herbs and spices! Also, loved the editing and the overall chill Brian vibes. I want to add that I also loved Jessica's sneaky bowl adjustment and quest for the perfect bite 😂
I just stumbled across your channel. I love horiatiki salads, and was thinking a whole food plant based version would be great, aside from the feta deficiency. Y'all might have salved that issue. Thank you for the tofu feta pointer. I will be giving everything in this video a try. The Greek-style chickpeas sound great.
Looks delicious. I think I’d combine it all - crunchy lettuce mixed in with the bowl would be fabulous. I’d probably add some vinegar or dressing because... sauce is boss! Thank you for a great recipe. 😊
So great to see this. I just opened a can of TJ”s chickpeas (the ones you showed) today.....I like them on top of rice cakes , with avocado. I try to drain the oil as best as possible and I sure appreciate you making this ;making video. Ummm...can’t help but notice Brian is starting to hummm along when there’s a bit of silence a la Jessica. If you get a chance....use Greek Oregano....makes a big difference in all things Greek.
Pleeeeeze! Somebody get these folks an electric can opener! I requested one as a birthday gift two years ago and IT IS MY FAVOURITE ITEM IN THE KITCHEN! Yes ... it actually beats out my Instant Pots! If weren’t up in The Frozen a North I would pop round to your place with one as an “un-birthday” gift.
I can’t recommend cooking your own chickpeas enough. I soak them overnight and then put them in Instant pot with bay leaves and water (of course). Thirteen minutes on manual. Let the pressure go down naturally. Done.
I haven't tried to make a Greek bowl since giving up oil. Now that I have a replacement for the dressing, I will definitely be trying your recipe. Thanks Krocks
These recipes look really good- and simple. I'll be trying the salad with tomato, cucumber, and beets. The best part is that I can make these with what I have in my pantry and refrigerator already. Also, I like your salad bowls. They're a good size for a large salad.💚
I ended up making the chickpeas and the tofu feta before work to let it marinate. The salads were so good! I ended up adding what I said above, but also Kalamata olives and sliced pepperoncini. Delish, no dressing needed. My husband loved it too, he had some croutons on his salad.
Pfhewww... I thought you were going to make chickpeas from that 50 lbs bag you guys bought a while ago.... so I’m thinking is Brian going to film the entire Instant pot scene. And then the cans appeared :). Thanks for the recipe. Will try it for sure. Take care
Brian you look so skinny! Good job! I only realized a year ago that aquafaba liquid came out of the can of beans. I always thought it was some new age expensive ingredient you had to buy at a health food store. This recipe looks great! I love all kinds of beans, pulses & legumes. I eat some type of them 1-2 times a day.
Yum! I think these would be really good with baked falafel and that tzatziki sauce. I really love the choices at the Roti restaurant chain, but they're obviously not concerned about oil, so I'm trying to recreate some of the flavors from a WFPBNOSOS approach.
Brian, love the new haircut! I thought you were going to put this in the oven for a regular casserole. I think when I make this I'll dissolve the liquids and then have the chickpeas to them. Have you tried putting them in the oven? For like crunchy little nuggets?

Haha I'm Greek and I approve. I would personally add a dash of dill, diced cucumber, and a bit of tomato. Also some marinated artichoke hearts 😁🇬🇷
Yum!
Throw some tomatoes and cucumbers in there for me! The chickpeas look delicious!
I love the sound of the beans hitting the plastic bowl and also when they're stirred.
Winner winner chickpea dinner! 😆😎
I enjoyed the real-time recipe. I like your haircut, Brian. Jessica, your attention to detail is much appreciated. You guys do such a great job with your videos.
Thank you Amy! ❤️

Looks delicious! But next how about an "all about aquafaba" video on how you use it?
oooh good idea!
I'm really curious too.
Yes!!! Aquafaba video!!
Brian has caught Jessica’s humming! So cute! ❤️
Greek salad, in any incarnation, is the best. Sitting at a cafe on the Aegean... makes it even better : )

Would ❤️ to know what brand and size of bowls those are!
Yes, add tomatoes and cucumber. Looks amazing!!!

Thanks for the idea Brian. I added kalmata olives and some pasta and then put it over romaine lettuce. It was a very satisfing lunch.
Gonna make this ASAP. Looks delicious

I don’t have any dry mint so I used some dry dill instead. Turned out fabulous. You guys are just too fun. Thank you!!

This was an amazing recipe on an overly hot day, thank you! ♥️
Trying this today! I love you two, such fun and helpful videos! 👏👏👏
You just inspired me to boil chickpeas. Definitely bringing this to the July 4th potluck
I just made these! Accidentally opened a can of red kidney beans... added them to the recipe anyways and it was still delish!
I tried this and it was very good! I air fried the tofu feta the second time around and enjoyed it even more.
I used mint sauce...shake of it and did on cannellini beans...also only had rice wine vinegar...turned out nice...thanks for new recipe....🍋🍋🍋...Michelle from Horse Creek Farm...Queensland Australia 🌷🌷🌷

The recipe looks delicious and I love your brown rice/riced cauliflower tip! 💚
Mmm looks Yummers! Would be good if both recipes were combined I think.
Those both look so good. I just had a big salad and I wish I had those to put on top!
I'm gonna make this and add diced red onion. Yum!
I’m sitting here watching this video and I’m smiling because I’m thinking to myself this is like the cooking version of an episode of bob ross
I wonder if they are old enough to remember Bob Ross! LOL!!! Sparkles, joy, and blessings!
