Mary Gould discusses the experiences and tragic death of her son Conall who suffered persistent and progressive side effects after brief use of the drug finasteride, a popular hair loss drug.
Post-Finasteride Syndrome is the current term for a rare syndrome of devastating physical, neurological, and sexual side effects that persist and progress after stopping finasteride. The condition occurs primarily in younger men who have taken the drug to treat hair loss. There is currently no effective treatment for this disease.
PFS has a disastrous impact on patients, their families and their friends. It often causes disability, isolation and suicide. Every person is valuable, and everyone deserves to make a fully informed choice with their health.

I can’t explain how lucky and grateful I feel for stumbling across this community. I ordered them already. But there is no way I will touch them after all of these stories
I wish I was in your place. I don’t have pfs, but I have pssd (ssri). I so much wish I could’ve just watched something like this before taking it.

@@imeleventeen it was 20 months and I had maybe 25-35% improvements.

It’s criminal that those doctors didn’t even want to listen to him. The manufacturers and FDA should be held accountable and fix their mistake. They ruined us

Both PSSD and PFS are debilitating conditions. Symptoms get really bad after stopping these medications. Chronic fatigue , concentration issues and Sexual issues being some of them
Yeah and emotional flatness. It’s like living in a paper newspaper, nothing touches you, everything is just information. You are immune to emotions. Films, books, games, hobbies - kiss them goodbye with that thing.
