- The Laws of Scourge is the third LP from the Brazilian black metal/death metal band Sarcófago. This is when the band's satanic lyrics and imagery toned down to a more realistic style in writing. For example, Midnight Queen is about a prostitute, and Screeches From The Silence is about living life on the fast lane. The song lyrical content has drifted from satanic to death related. Also the genre of played as shifted from Black Metal to a more melodic Thrash Metal, and the sound quality has improved from I.N.R.I..

This album came out in 1991, the song "call from the grave" from Bathory was way earlier (1987)... the first album from Bathory was released in 1984, Sarcofago was founded in 1985, first album release was in 1987...

Not sure what Bathory has to do with Sarcofago. Unless because this song sounds a little similar to call from the grave, at least part of it.

@Enysvar there were people who got demo's all over the world, there was a black metal shop somewhere in Venezuela which started in the mid 80's. There was a large European Black Metal Scene in Brazil and much of South and Central America during the 80's into the mid-90's.

Como decirles a los new black metal, no tienes que ser un poderoso satánico, solo necesitas talento y hacer buena composición... el metal es talento no facha... hail sarcófago, hail black metal...
Eu prefiro Sarcófago do que Sepultura, pq Sarcófago tem uma leve pegada de doom metal tlgd.
Continua sendo metal extremo, mas parece que tem um dedinho de Candlemass ae (na vdd nem sei, Candlemass surgiu só alguns meses antes do Sarcófago).
Não seria death metal com alguma influência de black?
No mais é isso, também prefiro Sarcófago fácil nessa comparação.
