    "We came to play in tuxedos," Jerry Sloan. He said this a number of times in the the late 90s and early 2000s. A great quote about what basketball is about

    Sad I didn't know about this until this video showed up in my recommended videos. As a Bulls fan, I've always admired Sloan's coaching career. I'm glad he never beat us but wish he had won one after us.

    Growing up in Utah and being a a fan at an early age I feel lucky because the turnover rate from coaches and players especially in today's game and to have 3 of the best in Stockton and Malone and Jerry was something special

    The refs stood in the way of a game seven. Eisley three good in time, Harper two was late. Five point swing in a game decided by one point.
    Just saying.
    Now they have instant replay to get it right.

  • @deewood622

    Everybody always says how dirty the Jazz played when I was growing up....WRONG.....the Jazz didn't play dirty, they played HARD and they were tough...
    Stockton doesn't look tough but IMO he's as tough as Isiah Thomas.....Stockton and Malone never really got the respect they deserved....What you see from Stockton and Malone was highly contributed by coach Sloan....Sloan was so tough as a player and also as a coach.....Sloan has never also received the respect he deserved for everything he has contributed to the NBA as a player and a coach......
    So in conclusion, I would like to thank the Hall of Fame head coach for what he has done for the game....The passion, hard work and dedication will never be forgotten for what you did for the game .....Rest in Heavenly Love coach🙏🙏🙏

      Look at the side video camera shot of that crossover. Russel was already running that way, then mike just stops. If he pushed off, Russell would be yelling at the refs. Instead, he walks over to his bench with his head down. I'm a real bulls fan. 😆

    • @darshloaf
      @darshloaf 4 роки тому +2

      He pushed his hip with his left hand. Malone still made a big mistake not facing the basket the see MJ coming the play before, MJ still probably would've hit the shot had he not pushed, but he did push off. Oh well.

    • @James-sn5mg
      @James-sn5mg 4 роки тому

      oh god, this again. You can push someone when your feet is planted on the ground. It is not possible to dribble the ball as fast as you can while trying to stop momentum to the other direction and have one hand on someone's back and push a 260 pound dude. Come on. Try it yourself while you are on the court with someone.

    Too bad he was run off by primadonna basketball players who thought they were bigger than the game itself......just a small look into today's youth. Nothing but respect for a coach who would rather move on than to compromise what he stood for.........HARD WORK......screw Williams and Boozer...soft players who would rather take the easy way than to do the hard work.......Miss Malone and Stockton
