interesting, thankyou. i bought a magma album ages ago, never got into it in my youth, but now find it very good...thanks for the shove back in the right direction.
Just an awesome album. These guys really created a world of their own, maybe because money wasn't there too screw everything up. Too sad we can't find the same quality in our days. Anyway, Enjoy it =)
I've just watched a few videos from 2010/2011 with the current line-up and I've got to say that, even allowing for the bad quality of this video, the current band (and the bands Vander has had for at least the last ten years) seem to get his music and how to play it a lot better than earlier ones. In the Seventies, it always seemed like there were a few great players (Top) or singers (Blasquiz and Stella) and a lot of people who couldn't keep up.
excellent! enjoy rediscovering their stuff. I highly recommend Kontarkohsz and Udu Wudu. They're my favorite records of theirs. My other video, De Futura, is from Udu Wudu.
Nothing like Magma to spice up your love life. Have you ever tried it with that rythm in the background? Wow
Too good for words.

Absolutely great stuff, and at their peak. That passage from 6.55 to 7.20 just kills.

Rips everything else to shreds. Witness e.g. four people hitting just the right note at 9'50. Man, they must have rehearsed A LOT.
Raw power, beautiful vocals. Notice when Klaus makes a mistake in lyrics at 4'47 and smiles. Even a Kobaian can get distracted.
Klause is majestic (he still is majestic; check the video on the Magma myspace page) - not sure about the pelicans though...
haha nice one
can anybody translate the french intro please??
thanks
ha! I guess both Magma and myself do suck
this stuff sucks
