yup. can't be killed by this curse, so you can easily burn it off. it's just scary. The scariest stuff in the game turns not scary once you understand how they work.
I was surprised to not see Frostburns though??? When I ran, I always ran... Faded. Always was a fun afk-build. Deep Frying Cattle. My true Love is the Enchantress running Faded & Blazed!!! That 1 point Frozen Armor & Teleport. Several different bows/x-bows. Have fun runnin & huntin.
When you self wield infinity you basically have to use Magefists (or give up all your jewelry spots so no SOJs which are better than Frosties). Magefists are nice anyways as you get the +1 fire skills which increases your warmth for more manage regen which is nice on ES. I am running this same Sorc however with 2x SOJ and a +2 sorc +10%fcr amulet +str crafted caster ammy instead (gives you one extra skill, more mana regen, and since res doesn't mater beyond poison which treks helps you with you get +1 skill and 25% more mana). Level 98 SSF on Offline grinding to 99.
I built a warcry barb. Took a year to get gear. Can do hell up to player 3. Lol it’s my baby so proud. Still one of the weakest builds but I did it. Love the content
I rock a very similar nova build in offline self found, and i recommend 2 soj for massive mana pool. Use a 2/3 skills and 10 fcr amulet to meet 105fcr. Nova is nuts in survivability and clear speed especially with sunder, too strong imo.

I'm solo self found so don't have bo barb. I played at 7pp all the time so more mana is definitely helpful in tanking the venom lord's fire in chaos sanctuary. This build is a waste for 1pp coz anything is overkill.
@@smalps-gaming this build is the fastest to run chaos on 7pp (no point for 8pp in sp) clean all in 2-3 mins, beating the previous kings including hammerdin and lighting fury javazon (all max gear, lvl 97 and 96, tested extensively). Sp has no sunder yet but i do play in bn to experience that. i can imagine how mad it can be in sp coz the lighting immune are the only thing to slow it down (have to wait for merc and hydra to do the work). Thunderstorm is actually quite good in damage supplement. With sunder, it can substitute hydra with thunderstorm to go even madder.

The points saved on str and put into mana is equal to 122~. So after the points saved into str and into mana it nets you about 200 more mana and 10 less life vs using the str points and putting the spirit on swap.
I'm a 99 es sorc same setup just perfect gear on my end. a little tip here . run coh on ur mercenary. Why not eth fort for the extra dps u wonder. It's because of you gain 2 to skills to ur mercenary so basically u gain 2 to prayer mercenary. kinda a cheat. plus the extra resist so u can change to a 15ias 40ed jewel into helm if u like. just a tip ;)
Nice Online or SP? I like the idea of COH on the merc to put in a 15/40ed jewel! but isn't the prayer skill capped at 20? so the plus 2 to skills doesn't apply.
Oh I see now yea. So the skill caps at a certain level of the merc, but plus to skill still boost it. So yea putting COH on it would boost it to 23 after BO. So that works! I never felt like I had an issue though with how fast it regen normally. The bonus to defense and light res from Fort seem nice for survivability.

Before reaching Baala, I got double whammied with the blood Mana curse and another monster that drained my mana, I think it was with mana burn, not sure. I died almost instantly. I gave up the nova Sorceress after that as doing Baal runs and Chaos runs is fun. I never used the prayer skill on the merc though, and I think that would have fixed the issue.
That is unfortunate! I rocked the CLFO build forever. I only switched to ES Nova for like the last level for clear speed purposes. I like the survivability of CLFO. But with ES Nova there are some scary moments if you are grinding to 99. Prayer merc addresses some issues, and having a huge mana pool is key.
Would self wield infinity be better off for the es nova than orb/spirit? I’ve got a infinity merc but have noticed my mana do be lacking most the time lol
Yes, Self Wielding infinity is better for ES Nova, Its only of the top builds in the entire game. This will allow you to use insight on your merc, for unlimited mana. Paired with a prayer merc, and you never have to pot again!

"better" is loose. It all depends on how you play and what you value. COH on the merc would get you 2 more points into Prayer for higher life regen. But even on P8 I don't have an issue at all with life. I have the Eth Sacred Armor base. It's slightly slower than AP if you care about your merc movement speed. AP would be a fine base, but would carry less defense. Again, depends what you value. I have the Eth Treks for the lower STR requirement(81) and the boost to poison res, and faster hit recovery. Silkweaves would give you mana after kill. Your call.
You are in luck! If you hold your cube, you can pick up items directly to the cube. There is a skill you can map loot to cube 🤙🏼 I’ll make a short on it.
You don't go into hit recovery because you need to take a certain amount of damage to your life pool to trigger the stagger animation. You're only taking damage to your mana pool, so the animation never triggers.
You def do go into hit recovery in some cases. Like baal wave 5. I posted a short on it. It certainly helps to have some good FHR breakpoint. I now run it with 42 FHR.
Solve blood mana curse? Well, its simple. Just play the enigma crescent moon variant with infinity merc, its strictly better than Infy-Scythe on average. The life after kill helps a lot with killing trash while being mana cursed, while the larger hp pool helps with killing baal himself.
@@smalps-gaming For a fully maxed lvl99 sorc on p1 :P With half your life pool, less mana and not yet maxed ES I ran into some trouble with the curse. But it is still manageable.

You mean a memory staff? Simply put, it’s not better. I don’t need more ES. It already does enough absorb at 94%. -50 enemy light res is massive. Insight on the merc for essentially unlimited mana/life. This build can do P8 Chaos, P8 cows, P8 Trav, Ubers. Pretty strong as is 🤙🏼
Once you have infinity obtained, sunder charms basically reads like "-5% lightres to previously immune monsters". Which is worse than an additional skiller on average. With one exeption: Since the sunder charm is applied immediately once you damage the immune mob while conviction takes a second to get applied, you're saving a nova cast every now and then, which is a reasonable time safe.

because it is the meta build. And I have tried P8 dolls and souls. Still no issues. This is an old video. I do run 2x SOJ, all mana and fhr charms, 2/20 ammy. Insight, Cure, and COH on the merc. This is an online build with no hero editing or JSP.

@@camel259 You can consider meta most dmg? or most survivability or best QOL. There is always a balance. I would NOT consider a build that is just going for max dmg to be Meta. I would consider a build meta for the best balance of DMG and QOL. In P8 you can still just blast away and not worry about either. You can burn off the blood mana curse pretty quickly, and with cure the curse is gone fast anyways. There was no cure at the time of this video because this is a NL build and it wasn't an option yet. I cannot tell you the last time my sorc died from dolls, souls or blood mana curse.

But: if you can have quite similar resistances, survivability and speed is the same -> more damage and more mana is better solution. 30 resistances from mara can be simply changed to small charms and other cheap boots 2-3 res (speed of walk is not so important with infinity in hands). And 10% fcr from ring can be put in even simple 2 skill 10 fcr amu. Mana pool is much better with SOJ too (I know cta is a bit less bonus when mara is replaced to SOJ, but 25% recompesate it definitly in favor of second soj). Then the "safety" is the same, but damage is 5% better. And most effective tactics available is simply the better one :> And that's my point - it is not meta build, but quite simple, quick build, most efective avaiable is similar resistances and better output damage + more mana :P
@@camel259 Do you go for res charms or mana charms? Because there is an argument for either. Like you said if your mana gets "zapped" then you might want some res! I think the differences are small enough that you could argue for and against either way. Also depends on your play-style and what you value. Someone could value more res, and more life over more mana and more dmg. That is the beauty of the game. Someone could call this build shit because there is no MF. It's a preference. Some people also say FHR is not needed either. I value FHR in the build over res. I value life skillers, and value high mana. I know some people that play with 65 FCR and more mana. Just depends. As a big generalization, I would consider any nova build around holding infinity meta.

Safer option and takes about the same amount of time. Go to town and talk to a handy vendor to remove blood mana curse

I prefer silkweaves over treks and just use some pr scs until its maxed.

As a console/controller player, your inventory is full… how do u pick up items? I have to leave 8 slots open

Yea you could do that. I only have 1 with fhr. It’s really not an issue though. But for safety, I like a nice life pool.

I haven’t played with Sunders but it seems like if you had a sunder that playing Crescent moon setup would be better.

Yes if you blast it until you are almost dead, you can not die from it and the curse goes away. Baal it works but it’s still scary with the build.
