I swear, when you're facing the AI in this game, it is brutal. It always feels like their status moves and flinch/para chances against you are far more than they should be.
Not only that, but the game predicts the Pokemon you will use and what moves you will make.
I saw a video that basically revealed that the game actually cheats. In short, the game knows exactly when it'll hit, crit, flinch, etc. and will specifically chose moves that benefit it most. Anytime you feel like the flinch you received on a move that the com shouldn't have even considered using because of type disadvantage or whatever was tilted in it's favor, it was.

If you still want it to be restrictive, try only using Electric types. That should be medium difficulty while still being rather restrictive yet still a little room to move
So glad to see this again haha, I'd say with ghosts and dragon out of the way hopefully it'll be easier but I cannot imagine what bug is going to be like. Might as well get the rough ones done first though, right?

Hey Chris! Great vid as always. Quick question for you. For every challenge you do, can you save the raw footage and upload the vods? For example, release the battle tower vods in like a playlist for each type? I know you probably don't have those saved but it would be nice to have something to listen to at work and stuff like that would give me a lot of content to listen to. I'm just 1 guy I know so it's probably not worth it but it's just a thought ❤ keep up the amazing work
They are all available as VODs on his twitch account! Might take a bit of digging to find the ones from jan 2023 tho

EDIT: Checked the wiki. In this game, Double Edge doesn't deal recoil damage when it knocks out a pokémon. Huh.

@@apertureemployee215 I think that was fixed in Stadium. The funniest thing is the accuracy bug that would cause any move to miss 1 in 256 times was fixed by running the same bugged code again, meaning you can still randomly miss in Stadium if you hit that 1 in 65536.
If only we had the prototype dragons from gen 1 they had special attack higher than dragonite’s it would be even easier if they gave us a stab bonus for dragon attacks too 🤣

You could do a niche video series with holiday Pokemon or using only Pokemon that may be associated with holidays. For instance, St. Patrick's Day is coming up. So maybe green Pokemon? Valentine's Day was the last holiday (so only pink Pokemon). Easter is coming up so only bunny like Pokemon, idk
I think what you should do to make it a bit harder, instead of doing Rock or Ground you do Rock and Ground since there are 6 Rock Ground pokemon in gen 1and limits you from using better pokemon like Aerodactyl or the Nidos respectively

Why does the Dragonite does so LITTLE damage?
Fly has a trash power, and his coverage options are not stab, in many cases the power of the moves matters more than the offensive stat used, one example of this its the fact that Exegutor and the Legendary birds 120 base power moves hit way harden than Mewtwo psychic in gen 1, despite mewtwo having a much higher attack
