Legolas set out to sea and found himself in a British colony. He later sailed with a peculiar Captain to Tortuga, fought an octopus man, and end up becoming the Captain of the Flying Dutchman.. That's why he was never seen in Middle Earth again
Dude missed the last ship to Valinor so he could stay in Middle Earth as long as his friend Aragorn was still alive. Then after Aragon had passed, he made his own ship and brought his friend Gimli with him.
I actually don't think it was the last ship right? It is never specificly mentioned when Cirdan moved away I believe. He did for sure, but not really when. Im foggy on the details thou
@@thomasp12384 You're right. In "The Tale of Aragorn and Arwen" in the Appendices, it describes Aragorn's final moments. He tells Arwen she is now faced with a choice to follow him in death or travel to the Grey Havens to beg for passage into the West. She replies that the choice is past and there is no ship that can take her. I had always assumed that meant all the ships had departed, but it looks like that's incorrect, and Arwen simply meant that she was unable to go into the West on any ship. Some of the other Tolkien lore sites online calculate the last ship would have sailed some time after the year 171 of the 4th Age (Aragorn died in 120). So presumably Legolas built his own ship not because HE needed one, but so he could take his friend Gimli with him.
If you pay attention he actually runs out of arrows quite a few times. And its a movie, they're not going to show legolas making arrows, it's not very interesting. I haven't read the books but I'm sure he makes arrows in the books.
@@Chlef In the books he often retrieved the arrows that were still stuck in the victums whenever possible. Like after the battle on the banks of the river. These were the arrows gifted to him along with the Lothlorin bow, so quite rare and valuable. Actually a very common way of saving on arrows, either from hunting or during wars in the middle ages.
Another interesting fact that everyone forgets is that he was the inventor of Legos.
Indeed. Before Middle Earth had Legolas, Middle Earth was Legoless.
So sad that the inventor of Legos is without Legos 😢
The only dwarf to go into the west , that's a legendary status.
Legolas is my favourite character. I love how he called Gimli a goblin mutant in the hobbit.
Oo I’ve not watched the films, only the books- I didn’t know he was in the hobbit films, does he get any good moments?
@@SmallSinger5901 He literally ripped apart Bolg and saved a couple of civilians. Rode of a bat and knocked about 100 orcs off a cliff.
Me too
@@BayekofSiwaACbasically he almost destroys everyone single handed if he wasn't too reckless and brute force.

Before that he was the prince of troy 😂😂. Atleast before he became a pirate because his dad was afraid he'd bring fall to troy
fun fact: he was so good at rolling nat 20s that people suspected him of using weighted dice.
Bros till the end💪🙌 I miss them 😔
In the appendix of ROK its revealed that Gimli and him sailed together and went on many adventures before both were allowed into the undying lands
Legolas had the best bromances

@@mortys.sherman Yeah, he was 210 and had been King for 122 years.
@@katherinegraham3803 thanks for the details, im kinda confused with the story since I havent read the books
"my bow's not supposed to break" cracked me up 😂
Legolas was a valuable character in the fellowship, but frodo forgot his name...
Yea and Aragorn doesnt know his fathers name boee
That elf is a hottie 😊
The music in begining like in Skyrim😊 Something global and magic and athmospheric.👍
That’s sad after all there friends died they left that’s kinda sad
An acquaintance once brought to my attention the fact that Legolas never seems to run out of arrows.
Any explanation for this issue.
He once shown to be run out of arrows when fought in the river and used his dagger after that
