Hannah's house is continually growing into a Jeff Barron masterpiece, due to his wide range of skills and functional thought processes, with additions to it that serve a purpose and fit the décor perfectly. I'm guessing a custom made roll able shelf unit, with doors, made out of a whiskey barrel, could bring you about $350-$400, maybe more depending who built it, if the plan was to make to sell, which it isn't. I'd say it is priceless to Hannah, since Hannah's Daddy made it for her!😉 Preciate y'all!

Back in the 70s we made 2 sets of stereo speakers out of 4 of them. You could go to radio shack and get massive speakers and tweeters , you could hear them 5 blocks away😆😆😆👍

You said you put clearcoat on it, but it would be a true work of art if you were able to epoxy it with the ashes, so it still looked like a whiskey barrel. It would be annoying having a whiskey smell in your house super strong, so you might want to try a low gloss, clear paint or something on the outside to cut down on it. Whiskey absorbs into the wood, and so your best bet to get rid of the smell is... just painting over the wood cause it aint never going away.

Tuck a plastic bag over the angle with stationary clamps Mount the ring in a way to hide it from view.
Awesome project Jeff. I’ve seen people make ice chests for the outdoor patio (same basic cut out on the barrel just it’s only one lid and they made a stand so the barrel sits sideways). Just a suggestion. Thank you Jeff and Hannah for sharing. Good stuff 🤙🏼 Blessings

In the future, pull the bong hole (the Plug) Lol and fill the barrel with water about a quarter full. Then roll the barrel around a bit and then dump it. It will get that bourbon smell out. We are launching a bourbon brand in month or two so we will have a bunch of barrels coming home. We got some pointers from the distillery guys on some ideas of things to do with them. You already figured out to put the screws or rivets in the bands around the barrel and refinish the wood so I didnt say anything on the last video but if you do it again, run some water in the barrel first, roll it around a bit and the dump it. That was the 1st step the distillery guys told us.

Cut a hole in top of the barrel piece that goes over the trash can. That way you can throw trash away and only have to remove the top when emptying the trash.

If you spray the char with a product called uni bond,, made to stabilise loose surfaces, works really well Jeff. Great job sir.
