- With The Police, and especially Sting in fact, persisting in their refusal (or rather fear, I think) to make that new material that everyone is really waiting for, we - the loyal fans - have to get the job done. So take a moment for this refreshed version of ‘Walking In Your Footsteps’.
Don’t be deceived by the live video footage, what you hear is never what you see. The video is only made to support the audio remix. I really never liked the Synchronicity studio version of WIYF, but on stage in the early 80’s they turned it partly into an interesting piece. So I juggled a bit with the better pieces, especially Andy’s guitar parts. And I definitely left out the ugly pan flute at the beginning. Many sound shards are involved, but predominantly is a rehearsal version of the early eighties.
All footage used is around on the internet. Really hope you enjoy it. If you do, please leave a short message! If you don’t, don’t hesitate to comment also. Love to read any comments.
And in the end - of course - this all is for a much greater cause. If our protagonist(s) will ever read this: come on guys, and especially mister Sting, the years are starting to count seriously, so surprise the world, break the myth about The Police as a closed legend, visit your old friends (while you still can), and do what lots worldwide don't expect, but are really waiting for: MAKE THAT DAMN SIXTH POLICE ALBUM!

I’d definitely say this one sounds better then the first still none the less and improvement on the original none the less.
I can imagine how annoying it must have been having a load of opinionated gits point out in the comments that you had overlooked something in the final edit, forcing you to do it all again! It happens to me all the time so I do sympathise. Thankyou for even bothering to read the comments let alone act upon them! i shall be much more careful what I write in future, constructive comments only and no insults.

Shouldn't have reformed, never mind make a sixth album. What anyone saw in 2007/2008 was not the police it was the diet coke/pepsi version, aimed at the bucket list generation. The only things anyone really needs to hear, luckily some of us have, are Stings demos which are a joy to behold.
